I only get beading when I mix silicone-based products with oil-based ones. There is so much skincare in my Ilia foundation (I don’t have this one yet, but do have the True Serum), that I don’t need anything under it.

Hello! Here is an update on the wear of the new products I tried: Ilia Foundation wore well until about the 6-7 hour mark. My nose area started to look very greasy, and the foundation started to separate around my texture I had around my chin and nose. The Kosas concealer wore very very well! I was very impressed with its longevity considering how creamy it is. No creasing either! The Roen eyeshadows also stayed put all day. I didn't experience any fallout and no creasing, although I don't experience much creasing with eyeshadows in general. The colors stayed vibrant all day. Kjaer Weis blush - big thumbs up. And the RMS glow powder stayed beautiful too.
Your skin looks incandescent! I love this look on you. Also I appreciate learning about the products you tried. I need a good cream blush/bronzer/highlight brush. Which would you recommend? I don't necessarily want the most expensive. Thanks in advance for your reply and thanks for the video. 💚

I could tell the difference between when you first put the foundation on and when you came back. It was more radiant and looked a LOT more like skin. That's pretty awesome!
Hey, Michele! Love this look on you. I use the Ilia skin tint - and they recommend to not use anything underneath or give at least a long WHILE for any moisturizers to soak in. If you use the tint by itself, you get the true soaked in feeling... Balling happens when there’s too many products mixing with the Ilia skin tint. One product that I found works well underneath is Biossance’s sunscreen with squalane. I think the similarity in ingredients makes it work well together. I love the revealer concealer! It’s my favorite concealer period. Also - I have incredibly oily skin and the ilia skin tint is amazing when I don’t use any other things underneath or just use Biossance sunscreen underneath.
I am IN LOVE with the Kosas concealer. I have dry/dehydrated skin and every base has made my skin look so dry lately. I tried the kosas on a whim and wow. It melts into my skin, my under eyes look fresh but doesn’t crease either and it wears amazing throughout the day. I’m shocked. And so freaking happy.

I love the Ilia mascara! It’s has 2 sides to the brush. One to apply and the other lengthen and separates. Been curious about the Kjaer Weis blush so now I want to try it. Thank you. ❤️

Dgoli it does! I’m light/medium with olive undertones and have finally found myself the perfect concealer in 5.5. It’s so hard to find a good concealer with an olive undertone!
i've always been kinda skeptical of 'clean' beauty as there isn't any one definition the way, say, vegan beauty does. and sometime 'unclean' ingredients are better quality than 'clean' ones. like preservatives. theyre tricky.
What bugs me about a lot of clean beauty brands is that they arbitrarily call out ingredients not in their product, but then near the top of the list of their products is like essential oils or coconut oil which are common sensitizing ingredients
Hi Michelle I ACTUALLY LOVE how the shadows looked more "blown out" using your finger instead of brush. I think your eyes LOOK BEAUTIFUL and bigger. Would love to see that technique maybe with brush and powder shadows. I have hooded eyes and always trying to make them look bigger but I never tried with cream. Also iim bummed I can't get my shade in the concealer. I've heard a number of reviews saying it runs very yellow. ☹ I tried it in store and couldn't find a match.

I am lovvvving the Kosas concealer. Shocked that they sent you such a dark colour lol. We are about similar skin tones (I lean more yellow, and fall between light warm and light-medium warm) and #3 is very brightening for me which I love. I would think 3.5 would have been better for you. But what I love most about this is that i don’t have to set it!

I’ve tried the Kosa concealer and like it & how creamy it is. And I like Roen shadows. It’s too bad about the foundation it looked really nice on you & you tried really hard to make it work. Thanks for reviewing products!
The kosas concealer is actually labeled as olive toned! Which is kind of amazing since so few brands make olive toned complexion products. I would love for you to get a different shade of kosas and let us know how you feel
Oily and water don’t mix, so if your primer or foundation are oil or water based they will clash and pill. One way to avoid this is to press/tap the foundation on rather than rub it in and wait until the primer is also fully dry.

This is very helpful Michele! I am generally curious about new foundation formulas, especially thinner formulations, "clean" formulas (not that I want to switch exclusively to "clean" beauty, but I'll definitely try a promising release). The pilling is actually a dealbreaker for me - by necessity I wear several thin layers of skincare + sunscreen before I put on any complexion products, and it seems the Ilia foundation will pill the heck on me. I have several rms lip2cheek shades and their living luminizer and enjoy them quite a lot. I won't repurchase rms when my products expire (they are very pigmented so I honestly don't think I'll pan them), but will continue using them while they're still good. I might try the Kjaer Weis, since I also hear so many good things about her produts.
Hi there. It was so good to see your review of ilia. I found it wouldn’t dry down on my face, didn’t cover and moved around all day, let alone the color I picked was way too orange.
Seems like the ilia foundation is better served as a primer. my favorite foundation is Pat McGrath and Armani Maestro, because those are more like serum foundations I am thinking I would get more coverage with those layered. That Bronzer/highlighter.. AMAZING... I think I am sold on that!! it looks beautiful!

I love this Ilia Foundation, I've been wearing it for almost a month now, have 3 different shades-Initial shade was 07 Diaz but I noticed it was too "grey" for me, so ordered 05 Bom Bom and 04 Formosa for some pink undertones- For me it's perfect; sheer yet with some coverage, has SPF in it and I can lightly dust with setting powder if needed around nose-I only use Valmont skincare and never had any issue with the foundation balling up or separating-I have dehydrated skin so I appreciate the extra bit of hydration-I know Ilia has a primer and from what I read I am sure this would be helpful for people who have more normal to oily skin to wear this product-
I have both of those westman atelier super loaded highlights (long story- I ordered one and got both). I was hoping to use that peau de soleil as a bronzer and eyeshadow, but I find it moves around my foundation and doesn’t stay. Plus the color is kind of too light. The peche one makes an ok blush. I’m pretty disappointed in them, really.
Hi Michele! Thank you for this thorough video. Do you think that the ilia serum tint would perform better when applied as a serum, without a primer first? Usually, serums are meant to be applied on bare skin or over a moisturizer.

Hi! I was wondering if you had tried the New Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Rosé-I saw it on westman atelier website earlier this week and immediately ordered. Color looks so pretty and I feel like it would be perfect spring pick-me up. I have almost finished the peau de peche and absolutely love the formula of these. Can’t think of anything else like them exactly.
I bought the Herme’s orange lipstick (I think it’s in Poppy) then I bought the lipgloss you just showed us (Tower 28 in an Orange color), I did not receive the Herme’s lipstick yet it is on backorder till May. I also bought a lip liner by Mac (I hope they all work together). I look good in Orange, cause I get very dark in the summer (I even opened my pool yesterday) can’t swim in it, it’s too cold outside and in the pool, but it looks nice to have it opened! I bought so much stuff while being quarantined that there’s not enough day in the week to wear it all. And I am not a UA-camr (I guess I could be, but I’m just following woman I enjoy watching). Ok, just wanted to share and when I saw todays Clean Beauty products you where talking about I realized I had some of them: 1) I have Lilia Super Serum Skin Tint, 2). Kolas Revealer Concealer in 5 (it’s a perfect color for me). 3). Ilia Limitless Mascara, 4). And Tower 28 in the Orange Color. I will keep you posted when everything arrives (I’m waiting for the Herme’s Orange lipstick, I believe in color Poppy), getting it in May, it’s backordered. Hopefully, it all will look nice together. My experience: VB primer balls up with a number of foundations and sunscreens.
I agree - I want to like the VB primer but it doesn't play very nice with a lot of product.
I've found it's amazing with Westman Atelier and Saie foundations / products

Tower 28 lip jelly is so comfortable on the lips not sticky at all.
The kosas concealer looks to have an olive undertone. Might give that color a go looks like it might suit me. Great video babe!

Yes, even the neutral or cool tone ones run yellow!! I can make it work, and I love the formula, but sadly I don't think I'll be repurchasing

If you use a primer, it will pill. But if you use moisturizer and skin tint it goes on smoothly and lovely. I am 81 and love it!
Tower 28 makes gorgeous cream blushes and they have an orange color that’s fabulous!

I’ve tried the Kosa concealer and like it & how creamy it is. And I like Roen shadows. It’s too bad about the foundation it looked really nice on you & you tried really hard to make it work. Thanks for reviewing products!

The kosas concealer is actually labeled as olive toned! Which is kind of amazing since so few brands make olive toned complexion products. I would love for you to get a different shade of kosas and let us know how you feel
Lily W where does it say that? I’m light olive and lean cool so I’m wondering if their concealer will still be too yellow

Oily and water don’t mix, so if your primer or foundation are oil or water based they will clash and pill. One way to avoid this is to press/tap the foundation on rather than rub it in and wait until the primer is also fully dry.

This is very helpful Michele! I am generally curious about new foundation formulas, especially thinner formulations, "clean" formulas (not that I want to switch exclusively to "clean" beauty, but I'll definitely try a promising release). The pilling is actually a dealbreaker for me - by necessity I wear several thin layers of skincare + sunscreen before I put on any complexion products, and it seems the Ilia foundation will pill the heck on me.
I have several rms lip2cheek shades and their living luminizer and enjoy them quite a lot. I won't repurchase rms when my products expire (they are very pigmented so I honestly don't think I'll pan them), but will continue using them while they're still good. I might try the Kjaer Weis, since I also hear so many good things about her produts.
Hi there. It was so good to see your review of ilia. I found it wouldn’t dry down on my face, didn’t cover and moved around all day, let alone the color I picked was way too orange.

Seems like the ilia foundation is better served as a primer. my favorite foundation is Pat McGrath and Armani Maestro, because those are more like serum foundations I am thinking I would get more coverage with those layered. That Bronzer/highlighter.. AMAZING... I think I am sold on that!! it looks beautiful!

I love this Ilia Foundation, I've been wearing it for almost a month now, have 3 different shades-Initial shade was 07 Diaz but I noticed it was too "grey" for me, so ordered 05 Bom Bom and 04 Formosa for some pink undertones-
For me it's perfect; sheer yet with some coverage, has SPF in it and I can lightly dust with setting powder if needed around nose-I only use Valmont skincare and never had any issue with the foundation balling up or separating-I have dehydrated skin so I appreciate the extra bit of hydration-I know Ilia has a primer and from what I read I am sure this would be helpful for people who have more normal to oily skin to wear this product-

I have both of those westman atelier super loaded highlights (long story- I ordered one and got both). I was hoping to use that peau de soleil as a bronzer and eyeshadow, but I find it moves around my foundation and doesn’t stay. Plus the color is kind of too light. The peche one makes an ok blush. I’m pretty disappointed in them, really.

Hi Michele! Thank you for this thorough video. Do you think that the ilia serum tint would perform better when applied as a serum, without a primer first? Usually, serums are meant to be applied on bare skin or over a moisturizer.

Hi! I was wondering if you had tried the New Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Rosé-I saw it on westman atelier website earlier this week and immediately ordered. Color looks so pretty and I feel like it would be perfect spring pick-me up. I have almost finished the peau de peche and absolutely love the formula of these. Can’t think of anything else like them exactly.
What are your top 2 or 3 brightening concealers? I’m in my 40’s with dry skin. Like you, I can do regular or clean beauty.
I bought the Herme’s orange lipstick (I think it’s in Poppy) then I bought the lipgloss you just showed us (Tower 28 in an Orange color), I did not receive the Herme’s lipstick yet it is on backorder till May. I also bought a lip liner by Mac (I hope they all work together). I look good in Orange, cause I get very dark in the summer (I even opened my pool yesterday) can’t swim in it, it’s too cold outside and in the pool, but it looks nice to have it opened! I bought so much stuff while being quarantined that there’s not enough day in the week to wear it all. And I am not a UA-camr (I guess I could be, but I’m just following woman I enjoy watching). Ok, just wanted to share and when I saw todays Clean Beauty products you where talking about I realized I had some of them: 1) I have Lilia Super Serum Skin Tint, 2). Kolas Revealer Concealer in 5 (it’s a perfect color for me). 3). Ilia Limitless Mascara, 4). And Tower 28 in the Orange Color. I will keep you posted when everything arrives (I’m waiting for the Herme’s Orange lipstick, I believe in color Poppy), getting it in May, it’s backordered. Hopefully, it all will look nice together.
