Bloody awesome mate! I had me a 1.6ltr Kent stock bottom end, worked head, a rally spec cam, 45 downdraught (not enough) and 2.5inch exhaust AND I LOVED IT! Till I crashed it 😞 Might do it again someday #canhope 😂
@petrogray4537 oh yes i know the kent motors very well , il built a few serious ones , the best i ever got from a 1.6 was around 205 hp , couldnt drive it on the street tho , far too wild , was a track only build , spent most of its time between 5k and 7k rpm
205hp, bloody brilliant! My cam was a bit lower but I knew it needed more fuel to perform at its best. Never got the chance to dyno as the accident happened not long after I ran it in 😞 live and learn. She was hella loud, sounded great! #memories
@petrogray4537 im trying to think what i did to the 1.6 i built , it was so long ago , i do remember using a 711m block bored to its maximum, had a datsun steel crank and modified valiant pistons used 3ltr v6 valves turned down and new seats to open up the flow , the ports i filled in the lower of the port and machined a straight port to the valve , was quite an effort , the cam i think was a reground a6 cam , i dont remember the specs but it was a one off that just happened to work , wouldnt idle under 2k , was dry sumped , electric water pump , trigger ignition and 50mm down draught injection throttle bodys , there was much more to it but alot of the finer details have been lost to time unfortunately
@StopTeoriomSpiskowym its all in the tuning , no advance on the distributor makes it bog from the bottom end of the rev range , its throttle response is rubbish untill your over 1200 rpm , from there its happy all the way up to 7k, its a beast when its on song, was designed like this
@TonyLoechte yea i know lol , i drove her pretty hard last time i had her out for a play , i need to under drive my water pump , she lives in the higher revs alot
Turn your phone sideways to record for UA-cam video.

something wrong with ratio when you accelerate it stal for a while

Plus she was cold lol
The rusty over spray out of the radiator is not a good look
