I saw this in the theater when it was first released. I own a copy of the dvd. I think it's one of the best political satires ever done!❤🎉. No one could sing like Sammy Davis Junior.

THis movie is great because it has the two best puerto rican actors ever sammy the jew and raul julia. All its missing is rita moreno but with ms braga its a total spanish american fever.
Sammy Davis wasn't Puerto Rican. He was Hispanic American on his mother's side and African American on his father's side. His Maternal grandfather was from Spain and his Maternal grandmother was from Cuba.

It was under the jurisdiction of the viceroyalty of Lima before its annexation. The former colony was founded by Simon Bolivar and he led its struggled for independence from Spain. This being finally achieved in 1809. In its early years Parador has been in vicious wars with Bolivia primarily over territorial disputes and Parador annex part of Bolivia's eastern departments leaving it without a coast line and access to the Pacific Ocean. One issue that has marred relations between the two countries ever since. During this last major battle Paradorian troops reached La Paz, Bolivia's capital, and ransacked it. But damaged was minimal and a truce was finally agreed between the two countries but Bolivia still maintains her claim to the eastern coastal territories. You should go there if you get the chance. its not as dangerous as one might assume. Paradorians for the most part are very friendly and hospitable and do enjoy welcoming foreign visitors to their country. They are very proud people and will be eager to tell you how great Parador is and that its the most beautiful country in the World . There are no direct flights from the UK but via Rio or Miami are the most traversed routings. Aerolineas Paradorianas fly there.

For the most part, I found this movie pretty forgettable. There were some funny moments. The best performance was easily Raul Julia at his psychotic best. The cameo by Sammy Davis was memorable. And Sonia Braga was, as always, absolutely scintillating. But the plot was rather plodding, and it felt like Richard Dreyfuss was not really giving it his all.
Of course . why do you ask . ? they is so many countries not everybody has a photographic memory. please don't respond I lost interest talking to you . you bore me .
