You hit it on the head...competition...I have seen it over and over again. Even in families with brothers and sisters, especially with families. Pressure to "have", "gain" and "aquire" more than someone else, have more money, have more toys have have have...Capitalism, is a proponent of this mentality. We should be a "creative" society. What I want for me, I want for you. Instead of climbing the ladder, getting to the top, then kicking off the ladder so the next guy can't climb up, you should extend your hand and help them up the ladder.
show me a socialist who is happy, especially in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua where freedom of speech is non-existent? capitalism is bad according to you, however, this country gets # 1 in the world that attracts immigrants, inversions, scientists, etc, wouldn't it be better if they ran to Danish country? and started running their green bikes wherever they go instead of cars?
🎯❗️ YES! (In response to the gentleman speaking @ 56:13) That is exactly the thing I found quite interesting...and odd. A high percentage of those "happier" people take A LOT of antidepressant drugs.
maybe we dont see mental issues as something that generally affects our level of happiness with life in general because we have easy access to treatment. depression doesnt mean you have a bad life, it just means your brain thinks your life is bad, so when you then treat your depression, you can see how good your life actually is without the grey tinted glasses. just because someone has a well-treated illness doesnt meant they have to sit and cry about "How shit their life is". a depressed person doesnt become unreasonably happy with everything when medicated, theyre just plucked back up to a decent baseline level
He mentioned his new book but he didn’t say what the name of the new book was. I want to buy and read it but I want to make sure I get the right book. Does anyone know the name of his new book?
How many people in this audiance are living in poverty? How many of them are in white collar fields of work. How many of them work with mental health and offered to make this open to thier clients. Maslow's pyramid of needs says we need food, water, sleep and security... I would also include free education. How many of this audiance have been selective about who they associate with? In a small town, you will see the divide in class distinction. How is mental health going to help those who need it, when it's being influenced by those who are coming out of toxic thinking and behavior themselves and practice "nepotism", and class distinction with clients/patients/peopel in general... who where/are not fortunate enough to have benefited from a formal education, develpop a career. You don't have to be in Syria to be in a war, you just have to grow up in a home of addictions...that is a war zone as well. If the services you talk about are put into "Proper" practice, free, and available to all, then this conversation is mute.
would like to see these things highlighted: how are their views on race? why there is no black people or immigrants there? How many churches do they have where people go? what faiths are practiced there? how many missions do they give to the world? would like to see data on mental health, alcoholism, suicide, crime rates, divorce,
22:20 The OECD didn't include the US in this list for some reason, but if they had it would be number 1 ahead of Iceland, on 100 per 1000 people (11% of the population over 11 years of age).
sorry but totally disagree with you on this report. Where do you get that data from? I have taken classes with respected Yale professors, who have a lengthy online course about it. why is there such a disregard for the emotional factor of each individual? why do you relate to the social aspect entirely? this may be for socialist societies like Denmark, but here in America, people are totally against such an invasion of privacy. Why there is disregard for the person's beliefs, most important: you don't mention God at all and the spiritual part of the individual. Your research is meaningless to me. Good luck. Your Danish rhetoric is not good here.
Finally, you cannot call yourself a worldwide expert, when you leave behind a big chunk of capitalist, against your analysis is for socialist countries, then you shall change the title of your scope to say: Happiness on ideologically directed socialist countries like Dania only.

Many people in the US don't have health care, so probably not.
take note: this person with their rhetoric Danish style an ideology despises the US greatly, however they would come here given the opportunity.
