Dude. I’ve been revisiting your old stuff with Andertons, and the various reviews on your channel, and WOW, you’ve just grown so much into an amazing reviewer and your channel has matured so much. Like with all reviewers, we have to learn to recognize your subtle facial expressions and tone changes to know when you don’t like something, but I like your approach a lot. Keep it up brother!
Rabea, you've got mad playing skills. Your videos are always first rate, intriguing, and inspiring. Thank you for everything you bring to the music world.
Thank you for making this video, I almost purchased the Strymon Iridium which I’m a huge fan of Strymon but the Walrus Audio ACS1 in my opinion is better sounding to me especially the clean tones you get with it as for overdrive and distortion I think adding some pedals to the ACS1 would be great the Iridium does have much better drive once you start pushing it but I’m looking for those nice clean tones. Once again thank you!
Great review. Up until 4 weeks ago, I was gigging with a Quad Cortex. The screen went out at a gig and by the time I sent it in for repairs and got it back I was forced to build a new rig. After trying the Iridium and the Boss IR-200, I got my hands on the ACS1. It is perfect. Sounds terrific on its own and is a good platform for pedals both before and after the "amp".
All my favorite Fender finishes. Just gorgeous. I grabbed one of these pedals for my upcoming tour to help with the guitar sound and feel in my In Ear monitors. This pedal is actually great to record with as well. Great demo. Thx

I just purchased the ACS1 a couple days ago and it's amazing how responsive the amp/cab sims are. I was weighing this and the Strymon Iridium, but watching you video tipped the scales towards the Walrus. I mostly like that you have a boost and that you can stereo 2 different cabs. Also, the Strymon Marshall Plexi was too hot for my style. I much prefer the Marshal Bluesbreaker on the Walrus. Thanks for your excellent video.
First of all: Get well soon! The sound of the pedal is very nice, however.... They put in a USB port for updates/IR loading. But why not also use it as audio interface, if you have that port already? Same with Strymon's solution. That would have been so amazing: Pickup your guitar, pedal board, and laptop and record wherever you like. Line6 got it right there.
Great video! I just picked up one of these pedals. Super-excited to try out some of the settings you were messing with. One note: I don't know why yours is quiet. Mine is REALLY loud. I had to bring it down from its factory settings, or else I'd blow out everybody's ears.

Hi! Thanks for the vídeo! I would like to ask you two questions. (1) Would the ACS1 work as a platform for a really high gain, like the Empress Heavy, to play metal? (2) Is there an effects loop in the ACS1 to put the modulation, delay and reverb after it? Thanks! Best.
I'm also interested in this question, I'd like to use the ACS1 as clean for ambient but is it any good to chuck some modern high gain drives behind it for extended range distortion? In theory it should do great because you dont need that much gain for low extended range tones..?
Is there an option to have two different amp models set to left and right but coming out of one socket mixed to mono - so you could create a blend of amps in mono? Failing that, would a Y cable achieve that?
@@neilharnett hi Neil. I did actually ask walrus about this - the answer was No you can't do that. To blend two sounds you have to input them separately into your PA or whatever.
