This man literally worked hard to escape the hood. While in the other hand the self proclaim best player in The NBA who was born in the suburb wanted to be someone he is not.
Exactly Ja wants to be Demar in his earlier years
@@DilegoDC DeMar actually knows how messed up that life is. As a C affiliated fella he wore the red in pride, cause he represented what mattered the most, his family and struggle. Meanwhile Ja wears the blue jersey, yet knows nothing how bad things can go in the streets. That's real vs fake for you.
Y’all so full of shit😂
@@umuta1969 Ja went to Crestwood, that's a private school! (Dont fact check, just trust me bro)
@@freshswagga100 😂😂😂
My respect for derozan after this video 📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈
You’ve got him and you got ja morrant
@@wildxjr6661 tbh ja acts hood ( ja fan )
@@synxyfnja is definitely believe me he would definitely "suck a fatty" for the homies
@N Joy yeah i agree
@@synxyfn as a Memphis fan, I really hope ja doesn’t keep going down this road, bros throwing his career away.
dang, he’s who Ja wants to be, a real homie
Nah Ja is just demar but backwards
@@jelqballs demar is hood and wanted to make it out, while Ja is from the suburbs but wants to be hood
Ja a 🤡🤡🤡🤡
😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah everyone wants to be a real homie….
Its crazy how he goes from being a Crip to repping Red for the Chicago Bulls...But real talk I hope he gets a ring in his career...as someone who never really had a father figure I can only imagine what it'd be like to finally achieve that goal you and your dad made before he passed...
faxx he also got drafted by Toronto which wear the color red
That don't matter tho when you're making money in the basketball profession. He still blue
….
Fr if he wants a ring he should join the lakers Legm already got a spot form him
And it ain’t no bloods or Crips in chiraq it’s jus GDs and Crips there
Always loved demar, he’s got an incredible story
Word up.
demar on top 💯 💯

As a Raptors fan, I wish nothing but the best for DeMar. It's not like the organization wanted to trade him but when you're given a golden opportunity to get one of the premier players in the game, it's going to cost you something. Perhaps it cost the Raptors their soul when they traded him but even DeMar would begrudingly admit that the trade worked and was worth the price. DeMar for all of his success on the court, he has two major flaws, the first being his reluctance to shoot 3s - he'll take long range 2s all day long and in today's NBA, you need to take that extra step back and turn that 2 into a 3. The other flaw with DeMar is his post-season play - for whatever reason, some players just wilt in the playoffs when teams are able to focus on you night in and night out. DeMar is one of those. I still think he has the drive and capability to change both of those flaws and be like his idol, Kobe, but until he does that, he will never reach his full potential. But regardless of all of that, his dad should be extremely proud of his boy. I know I am.
Demar will always be a legend in Canada hoping he can win a chip and or come back to Toronto for one last season 💪
@@SnuggieMaple He’ll win one with the Bulls before ever winning a title in Toronto
@@kylein9869 Nah they suck this season
Vancouver needs their team back
J
That's legendary footage of him and the other people being drafted
it was funny af
He is blessed
As a chicago native and a bulls fan, it would mean everything not for him, but for us too, to win a championship with us. Bulls have been so close with derrick rose, but we all know how that went. For years, we haven't seen a glimpse of success, but demar has opened that door for us finaly. Also he's my favorite player❤
same Demar my fav current player
and fr hope they win a championship
i pray
@@Jjmillion I’m from Chicago n the only hope for use is if lebrons son gets drafted hope we get him that means lebron coming too that’s our chance
@@MellyTrippin i mean yah that is but our chances will be bigger if next year we get a dope trade
and maybe just maybe giannis says if he left Milwaukee hed love to play in Chicago
I remember the feeling of derozan getting 50 against the clippers that game. The liveliness of the united center was unreal and it was amazing to experience in person.
I always think that Demar DeRozan has the coolest name in the NBA, but after watching this he as well got the most amazing story to tell.
I remember him talking about drivebys at funerals he attended. Or his bestfriend getting murdered over a dice game. This guy is so humble. So damn inspirational.
Demar Derozan is such an amazing player despite of his past situations, he still manages to finally becoming an NBA Superstar. I think he deserves a championship for his father.
Bro, the Raptors didn’t just give up on him. They kept him for 9 seasons lol. They loved him. They had a chance to go get a top 5 player in his prime and they had no choice but to do it and it brought them a title. They didn’t “give up” on DeRozan.
A true inspiration to today's generation. Meanwhile Ja just keep taking steps backwards.
And Ja’s a Crip too. Hope he looked to Demar for inspiration
I’m from watts California and the “Hooper pass” is a real deal thing I hope we can keep it going ♿️💯
@@johncbny it’s okay u will never understand 😂🗣️
blocc crip
I remember DeMar loving Toronto and treating it like a fresh start after leaving Compton. This Man DeMar DeRozan legitimately wanted to be a Raptor for life, that’s why he’ll always be a Toronto Goat🇨🇦🇨🇦
Shut up. Demar wasn't the guy for Canada. Im so glad we traded him. Kawhi was the guy to get us the chip.
Derozan is mature and humble.
Need more stories like this, especially for our crips and bloods...
Ja Morant Gotta take notes
frfr
Fr
Knowing Ja, dude would probably watch it on reverse, start as an NBA star and end with the funeral, and be like :" ight bet..."
@@asdasd1111ish that’s were he’s headed
@@asdasd1111ish bro 😂😂😂
It's sad. The chances he wins a championship are still next to 0%. But an amazing story and an awesome person, nothing but respect for him.
Not true, he could very well be a key piece to a championship team next year. He's on an expiring contract and contender will want him, possibly in a 6th man role
@@BrothaMan98I agree it's not too late for DeMar DeRozan to win a championship. But no team signs a guy like DeRozan (as he plays currently) to be a sixth man.
In today's NBA, it's all about shooting. The best thing DeMar can do for his game if he's starting to feel his age, is develop his 3-point shot.
In my opinion, the best sixth man of all time was Lou Williams. He won the award multiple times in his career and his game is the prototype for that award.
Many players have extended their careers by following this model, including Carmelo Anthony and fellow DeRozan draft class member Blake Griffin. 🏀🏆
@@BrothaMan98He’s still an all star level player he won’t be a sixth man
@@BrothaMan98 Lmao 6th man role is wild
Him and Dame gonna link up to get there's. Mark my words.
ja's shenanigans became more laughable after watching this
Ja was really around them membas
@@quentelhill5074 so😂😂
Anybody can change and that's what this young man done!!💪💪💪
I've always had admiration for Derozan. It's a rawness about him and now I realize why
I had a tough childhood, but nothing in comparison to Demar’s, his story is so inspirational of overcoming a bad situation you were born into, and still making something great out of yourself. I’m a freshman in hs so don’t be surprised when you hear the name Preston Gray in the 2029 nfl draft
I'll see u then bro stay grinding
You’ll make it
Bro remember you sky is the limit
ja morant did this in reverse
One of my low key favorite players of this generation. I know he doesn’t love being called this but he is a true mid range baller. That is not shade - it’s an absolute compliment. If you have a mid range game you can find your shot at any moment (Kobe, Jamal Crawford, D Wade, young CP3)
Demar is elite in the mid range!!
Ja goin in reverse order
Funny how Demar is real Crip but doesn't act tough when we have Ja who went grew up in the suburb, went to private school but portrays he about that life.
this is amazing respect to DeMar and what he has done. really shows that you can make you're dream come true. just have to work for is it doesn't come to you without the work.
the thumbnail????
that's crazy. i will never know how it feel to what he has gone through. i respec the young man for fighting his way to the professionals the positve way and staying out of trouble not just for his family and god but for himself.
Hes gotta couple more seasons. I hope he gets a ring.
Man he made his pops proud! GGs for my man.
I have much respect for this dude Derozan. He is one of my favorite players. I might have Booker over him. But I absolutely love his game!! He is a real champ!! He deserves everything!
Lesson learned: anything is possible if you put your mind to. 💯💯❤️
Bro went from blue to red💀
R.I.P his dad
DeMar goes from Crip to a good humble well behaved man meanwhile Ja thinks he is the from the hood
Crazy how he tried all he had to run out of his hood , made it to the NBA and now is chasing dreams , while "Jamal" who is 17 years old is trying to become a "blud" .
Respect to This goat for making it to the NBA ❤
Bro was a crip but ended up wearing red literally his entire career lmao
As a Raps fan, I'll always love DeMar and know that he'll win a chip! I'll always root for him! 💙💙
My respect for DeMar is off the roof right now.
Thank Ja Morant for that skip clip sound bite 🤣🤣🤣great draft class
The high school color being blue probably gave him more confidence and power 😂😂😂
I always loved this kid when I seen him play for the first time… ❤❤❤ Do your thing
This made me tear up 😢
Derozan has always been my favorite player, he deserved to get into the NBA
DeMar showed there's always a way to change your life if you really want to change it fr
Yea man deebo is the GOAT, got it all out the mud. I wish he had all these alltime great teams
As a toronto born canadian,i love derozqn for his time with the raptors.after watching this it sucks that he had to be traded before we won that championship, and before he could make his dad proud
What an incredible story and example of how powerful a driven mind can be
Ja is reversing domars story 😂☠️
The gangs protect and help these guys along knowing they can be used when they make it. If they don’t then you got a loyal big human to be part of the crew.
You should do a video on Ja Morant now “How this NBA star became a Crip”
Congratulations Youngman,,,, We're PROUD OF YOU😘
That fit in the Thumbnail looks tough. Looks like some type of Shinobi banger.
To be a Crip, he sure played on a lot of red teams lol
Demar is a walking W, thank you for posting this and lets hope he gets a chip soon
keep up the great work!!! :)
All sons want their fathers love and to make them proud. I'm 42 years old and making my father proud is still one of my very top priorities.
The narrator is goated for this 😂
I love this video keep up the good work and keep making great videos and can we just appreciate how much time he spends on his videos.🏀
"I hadn't even had a developed mental yet, and I'm comprehending the worst thing possible." Damn Demar, I really cant imagine losing a friend in elementary school or middle school, rest in peace bro.
this was mad inspirational. thank you

Are we not gonna talk about how this whole draft class of 0’9 was insane.
This was beautiful!!!!! Great job!!!!
@hoopflix this was a great video man. You really inspired me to keep going with my channel. And u also showed me that inorder to make it in UA-cam , you have to do research thoroughly, remain dedicated, and be consistent. Thanks alot man for just doing you. I hope when I make it to your level on UA-cam that I inspire others the way u just did for me in just a UA-cam video💯 maybe one day we could Collab together. I'm gonna help others when I become stable on UA-cam, such as help upcoming tubers and newbies. I'm just gonna try all I can to pull everyone up with me that wants to succeed in UA-cam. This is cool and SO DRAMATIC AND SENSATIONALIZED. Chill bro lol.
Hats off to damar. Most people don't escape that life at all.
I've always loved demar as a player but this gave me a new perspective on Demar as a person too
Being from Toronto first thing me and the homies said when we won was wish DeRose was here… mad love to DeRose you’ll always be a Toronto legend
Demar probably looking at Ja like a fool 🤡
do bloody John wall next. reppin that five

As a lifelong Bulls Fan , I LOVE D Rose but we ALL know he never got to reach his Full potential here with all the injuries but he DEFINITELY balled out and made his mark! I was alway a Demar Fan so when he came here he brought that MJ Swag and Excitement back to Chicago that we had been missing since MJ! Definitely LOVE and Appreciate him both as a player and a PERSON! ❤

What a story, I'll be rooting for him from now on knowing what he's been through !!!
He lived on my street when playing for the raptors and was always super kind plus he gave out a lot of candy on haloween and signed our basketballs
A blood 🅰️ watching the vid be like 👺👹
Nobody talks about demar even though he is One Of The best shooting guards ever and he deserves a ring
R.I.P DeROZANS dad you were a legend ❤😢🐐👑🔥
Wasss Craccin Crip hope you get a Chip Cuz !! 💙♿️💯👌🏾
Blake sayin Hannin
Got me dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was desensitized to death too. Not from murders but deaths nonetheless. Where I live, in central Illinois theres NOTHING to do. Kids go out driving around in the country, drink, get high, do dumb shit…I lost friends to car accidents, overdoses, suicide and lost family to health issues. To the point where I couldnt even make all the visitations. Just too many. It takes awhile for me to feel it when someone close dies now.
I wonder how his old crip friends are reacting to demar’s Jersey being red 😂😂
Lol
Nobody color bangs anymore unless it's war time
the irony:
wore RED > RAPTORS
wears RED > BULLS
Keep up the good work
No body in a million years would’ve guess that he would even make it to the NBA that’s crazy
