Ren X Chinchilla 'How to be Me', it's a heavy song, but incredibly beautiful. Chinchilla is another independent artist, does all her own writing, producing, arranging...'Little Girl Gone' definitely worth a reaction.
Listen to Chinchilla singing “fingers “. Apparently she always puts her nails on before a show. She says it gives her, for lack of a better word “, courage
Great reaction, dude! 😎 (Your favourite word!) Chinchilla is one of the bonus extras that many of us discovered along with Ren. She is absolutely awesome, with an astonishing voice and she's a great lyricist as well. Her stuff is a whole other rabbit hole to dive down. I'd suggest you start with 'Fingers' (the 'Live for HungerTV' version) if you want to see what she's capable of on her own. You're also pretty spot on about Chalk Outlines as well, the basic meaning of the song is about being on multiple medications (especially anti-depressants and anti-psychotics) which end up leaving you walking around like a zombie, stripped of all feelings, positive and negative. Or at least that's the general consensus. It's also worth having a look at another song they do together - 'How to be me' (Live), the force is strong in that one. 😄 Anyway, I'm enjoying following your dive into the RENiverse, I'm 62 and I can't ever remember being this into any artist. Ren is really really special. And on top of being the most exciting artist I can remember, he's also a thoroughly decent human being. PS: Here's a link to Chinchilla's channel: www.youtube.com/@chinchilla_music
Chinchilla is amazing! How to be Me Live is very deep. Also on Chinchilla's page is Fingers Live for Hunger TV, Little Girl Gone (official video), and Little Girl Gone Requiem Live (different vibe from the original song.) There's also Ren and Chinchilla busking in Brighton which is worth the listen! Love your genuine reactions to Ren.
i love your humor, dude! and i love this song-the story of my 71yr old life. chinchilla is a bad ass!! check out 'little girl gone'. kathleen bts renegade
You’ll find the Ren is a talent magnet. Everyone he collaborates with is worth looking up on their own. Each member of the big push. Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, Eden Nash, Bibi,
I think the beauty of a song like this, especially when someone as yourself doesn't have direct experience, is that it offers a genuine window that allows others to gain a better understanding. With Hi Ren, for example, either a patient can show their therapist/loved one/etc the video and say, "This. This is what I'm going through." Likewise a therapist can present to a patient as a question. However intentionally or unintentionally, he's providing language that can really communicate these complex issues. Not to mention making so many of us feel seen. And no worries if you can't relate directly. What's also so awesome about Ren’s music is that it creates dialog. If you haven't already, I'm going to suggest reacting to his video about hitting one million subscibers here, and how that relates to success. No singing. Just an awesome look into one more thing that makes Ren tick. I think you'll thoroughly appreciate it. Cheers.
Chinchilla is an amazing artist in her own right definitely up there with Ren another rabbit hole for you to dive down. Start with Fingers Live then go with Little Girl gone both are out there great!!
This is such a powerful song and performance. Their voices are beautiful together and the lyrics are so impactful. You should also check out How to Be Me (live) as it is also beautiful and another amazing performance. For Chinchilla, Fingers live or Little Girl Gone are good places to start. Loving your reactions ❤
This is one of my favorite Ren songs ..its so powerful ... Chinchilla and Ren are amazing together Great reaction video. Its funny you saying that maybe Chinchilla is a ghoast because I think, in this video, they are representing ghosts dressed all in white ... i imagine they are ghosts who somehow cross paths and they are singing about their pain and turmoil.. I don't know what everyone else sees but thats my interpretation
Great reaction!! +1 sub and looking forward to more reactions (of all kinds) from you. I was prescribed meds for 20+ years that changed who I was. Even I could see it. But when doctors tell you 'you need this', you trust them and take the meds. Finding out later that you did not need them, but the medication had damaged your body is more than a little devastating. I did as I was told, took the meds and walked around in a chalk outline. I wasn't myself when I was on them, and I really didn't like the person I turned into. I finally was able to get off the meds and felt better after that.
Fingers Live version. It’s hungertv version. By chinchilla. You will see why Ren calls her his musical sister. Has to be Fingers live version. It’s crazy live performance. It’s epic.
On a similar path as you at the moment. This came from Dad today he's 87...as of now open-heart surgery has been scheduled for me this Friday morning. I will likely be here six or seven days more after the surgery, then some type of rehab help after I leave the hospital. I will update you as things unfold or change before Friday.
@@toxicgnome8445 Dad survived his surgery at St Vincent in Green Bay this morning and is doing well. We just got some grub across the street at Fox Harbor . Back at the hotel now.
For me the "chalk outlines" are what's left after you take the pills. It's the shadow of your whole self. I believe that for some, antidepressants can dull the pain but also dull every other emotion. I'm not anti medication AT ALL. I take an antidepressant myself and for me it has saved my life. But it is bandage. The bandage allows every day function but unless we look underneath it and heal the wound (which can be painful) it's unlikely we will ever be our whole selves.
You would love Chinchilla's catalog as well.

The word for the phobia of being okay. Is called cherophobia. Now do you know why the chair is so loud?
I think many would agree with you about Doctors taking time to assess things before giving out pills randomly
