@@RyanLendt hey Ryan. Is this the same tuning and riffs/ notes for the acoustic album version? I cannot find any lessons for the album / acoustic version
I just want you to know how many songs I look up tutorials on where you're the only person who has a legitimate video on. Sometimes you're the only one at all. And so I really appreciate what you do. You've certainly fulfilled many of my needs in regards to my weird, ongoing compulsion to learn, dissect, appreciate the mechanics of,and ultimately add whatever song strikes my fancy at any given moment to my extensive list of covers. Moreso than your ability to transcribe these songs and then make these videos conveying that information even,I'm pleased and impressed your taste and selections.
This is forever my fav song to play acousticly and electric i love the ending when they play the 10 9 11 and 12 frets on the g string with a wah waver its amazing
Ayy, thanks for the nod, Ryan! And thanks for the lesson. This lesson was great because it challenged me to work on a number of different disciplines, like arpeggiated picking, fret-hand muting, and strumming control (like not giving in to the tendency to strum too hard on accented beats). I worked on this one for maybe three hours last night with my acoustic and I think it's safe to say I'm feeling pretty comfortable with it now!
That's exactly the thing Samuel - learn every single song you could ever want to learn and you'll learn to play the guitar by accident :) Cheers to you friend and thanks for having me
Thanks to you I got through some parts of this song that I always had trouble with ... Your a great person and guitar player / teacher ... And thanks for the shout out ... it means the world to me
I saw you hit 80k and Steve dangle hit 180k at the same time, there’s a lot of Ryan’s in my life, my dad, my friend Ryan, my music school advisor and my online guitar teacher
10/17/19. Tuning: DGDGBC. Lead at 9:08mark: A octaves: 11 12 14 17- 16 12 14 17- 12 11 14 12 11. Bass is playing low D note with the one G note. Take care, Ryan.
In a deep, hypnotic-type voice and lots of hand waiving......Ryan you want to do the Rusted Cage lessons very soon. Back to normal voice now and not so much hand waiving.....Not sure where that came from but I agree.
haha me neither but I'll take it :) Rusty cage hasn't not been on my mind since you first mentioned it - I gotta rest up from this rabbit hole (hint) but it's on my mind!
Sooo the moral of the lesson is!? .... YA MIGHT WANNA PICK ANOTHER S.G. SONG TO COVER!!? Ha! Thank you for your time & efforts! Especially on this one!!
Ryan you have done Justice with teaching Like or Suicide I thank you soooooo much for Learning all of us to try and feel what Chris Cornell felt when this song about a bird that ran into his house window killed itself and he found it!!!!!!AWSOME TUTORIAL!!!
It's no shame for one to admit something is over him...and this is it, this is over my head... BUT on the other hand I am just about there to learn All those yesterdays, only thanks to you...and the solo too 😀 You can always tell the Stone's solo from Mike's solo I love Stone 😀
Wow yep great choice atleast more up my alley, wanted to learn this but is hard because they are all over the place in tuning so kinda hard to dedicate a single guitar to them.
Please, tutorial of Rusty Cage Soundgarden Version !! ... I learned the bulk of the song, but I don't have the details or transitions between riff !!!!
How does he do it? How is it that Kev can work *that* out by ear? Perhaps Kermit does the work and Kev steals the glory. However it's done, top job, Kev 'n' Kermy!
Kermit DOES do all the work - his only demand is that he be in all the videos ;) what is somewhere? somewhere over the rainbow? I'd love to do that song. I'm not making a joke here in case that's not what you meant :)
@@RyanLendt I meant "Somewhere" the Soundgarden song from Badmotorfinger but "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with a Kermy cameo would be fine too, Kevdt! (I'm adding the silent 'dt' to the end of your name, Kevdt. Hope you're good with thatdt.)
Maybe do Love Is Blind by Ryan Lendt and The Leavers in the futute? I've been listening to your songs on spotify and they're all fantastic Edit: nvm i found it !
Chris made so many great tunes with alternate tunings. Thank you for doing what you do Ryan.
the chris/ben duo may never be matched. Cheers and thank you Mike :)

you're the best. thank you so much, greets from germany. all chris' songs are like a mirror in his apocalyptic soul. and now its that time. corona
well played Mr. Red, well played :)
Classic Soundgarden: weird tuning, use every single fret on the fretboard.
well described water earth :)
I saw you hit 80k and Steve dangle hit 180k at the same time, there’s a lot of Ryan’s in my life, my dad, my friend Ryan, my music school advisor and my online guitar teacher

I like this song way more than I should. Great lesson!
I won't judge you for that - thanks Lorenzo :)

that basement was a mysterious place.
Ryan Lendt It was probably just residual energy from jamming all the time.
This song is just to die for! ;)
this is a perfect song :)
That's two things to look forward to on Friday then! Thank you, Ryan :)
I have a sneaky feeling it's going to be your favorite effort of mine to date. thanks for this whole nudge Rasmus!
@@RyanLendt It will take a lot to beat Zero Chance and In My Tree, but I have every faith in your ability :)

yep, you can't really jump the tracks a bunch when a soundgarden song is on the tip of your brain
Great song 👌
Thanks Ryan 👍
I'm happy you're happy Archer :)

definitely in my plans d'A thanks man!
Hey Ryan, I love your videos as usual! Could you do more Soundgarden, like Slaves and Bulldozers, or Hands all over, it would be awesome 🤩
Thanks VK :) fear not, we will continue to do all the soundgarden - thanks for the request!
Can you show Birth Ritual, please, there is not much info on it that I can find :)))
yes i must indeed
How do you play octaves In that tuning
I don't recall the tuning :(
Great song mee laddy!
hey thanks deezy ;)

PS: Has Kermit (or Kev) ever done "Somewhere"? Not that I can see. Either I'm slack or K n K are slack... or I'm just undergoing a major mindflower.

How about doing Swingin’ by Tom Petty, Ryan?
TWODOGMOM!! I'm ashamed to tell you I don't know that one - it's on the list!
Ryan Lendt Great song! Definitely give it a listen. And, thanks for adding it to the list!
Yo! Can ya add Sex Type Thing unplugged to the list? Theres nothing out there on it, and if there is then its extremely hard to find
seriously? this surprises me verily. it is most definitely on the list Benny thank you!
Kickass
thanks man :)
Octaves on the A-String sounds like a good band name..... or maybe Octaves in the G-String would get more attention !?
budum!
Blow Up The Outside World
yeah baby
Thank u sir

You rock JV - I think i've responded to this comment at least three times and youtube won't let it stick. hmph.
Ooohhh yeah! Bananas!
who doesn't like bananas!
A little ironic song title considering how Chris went out.
yeah :(
Who dislikes this?
surely not anyone named Ryan ;)
Okkk another band name.... Mind Flower 🌸....
that's legitimately valid
