As a low spender I’m sorta like whatever about the gem slots, but I never ever want to see those people in any sort of battlegroud. They can fight against themselves
Not even real gem slots. Resonance sockets, basically haha. No new build diversity, additional gems. Very stupid major patch.
You're right, this unlocks at 8000 resonance. There will be 4 primary gem slots that, as far as I understand it, will not give you any actual gem effects. And each of those 4 gems will hold additional 3 gems, so basically its 16 more gems to rank up on top of the currently existing 16x 5* gems and 24x 2* gems that have to be ranked to 10 in order to max resonance. These gems are of course in addition to the 8 main gems you would need at Rank 10.
This means there will now be a total of 64 gems required, a combination of 5* and 2*'s, that will need to be ranked to 10 lol. All while we continue to fight in the same BG maps and otherwise do the exact same shit while continuing to spend money haha
As a whale that's over 8k resonance I can confidently say I am not happy with this and it is not at all what I would have wanted. I would much rather a major update that is lifting all players up in some way so there is more enjoyment of the game, not blatantly separating whales from F2P / mid spenders in such an aggressive way with nothing new of substance other than more of the same money schemeing nonsense.
2/10 Netease. The only thing more disappointing is the fact that I expected better like a fool.
@@Deverik1981 whales are already completely separated from F2P/mid spenders so its not like this will separate them even more.
If you are looking for a challenging MMORPG play Flames of Valhalla. No pay 2 win because everything can be farm inside the game. If you want fast progression with a lazy attitude you can visit the game shop.

That's how this should work, and i hope they implement it so everyone can somehow benifit from that, there is already a huge gap between players
And this will create a bigger gap, and making such a big cobtent update for 50-200 Total Players worldwide who will be really the only ones who benifit is quite dumb, if that happens, it will devide people again, and ohh boy trust more people will just scrap the game and move on.. Battlegrounds already unplayable for 95% of the F2P unless they use broken classes or forced to use Suzan.
Im down with the update lets go #TeamDiablo but please make sure to not forget your wide audience which plays the game, whats are 1% which really keep the game on float for the rest. 99% but don't forget that 99% are consumibg your content, and watching youtube creators, posting on reddit, introducing the game to their friends, bringing more people to overall cintribute to the whole experience

9:36 If you look at the minimap, it looks like the map of Purge the Depths. So it would make sense if these were not actually 2 new game modes but new things to do in Purge the Depths and Castle Defense.
9:36 - It's the 2 new PVE modes that seem similar to Gauntlet or Kions with that UI element.

Leaks happen for a reason. I think they want to see the people react and how, they react and adjust accordingly at least, i hope so. I won't continue playing if this is the way it goes as currently advertised

I mean if you have customers with bottomless pockets and thy are maxed out why wouldn’t you make a way for them to keep spending.
I'm never going beyond 3k resonance, because if my observation is correct, Battlegrounds match you up againts players with minimum to maximum CR difference of plus minus 3,000, so If I have 4,000 CR, I could be pit against a player with minimum 1,000 CR and a maximum of 7,000 CR if the tean imbalance kick in. So increasing more could pit me against 8,000+ CR.
So ok question I could now active my extra slot gem at rank 5 instead of rank 10 but why the gem power isn’t raise to unable you now get new wings in the game I still have to reach 1000 ress to get wings I find this not making sense it looks like gimmick to me I still have to grind to 1000 ress steupss
So thy changed the paragon tree and crunched the paragon server level to make it easier for new players. But then do all this to make it even more confusing to new players.
When i heared about the new "runes" i already expected it to be just another kind of gems, so yeah for those who can't even build up the "normal" legendary gems they will maybe not really give an advantage cause you mostly have to decide to where you spend your limited platinum, and in the end the combat power you get from it will maybe be the same, while whales can just max out both and get twice the power for it.
Of course .. its just what i expect, could of course be totally wrong. But hey .. i played Marvel Future Revolution and from that just expect always the worst when it comes to monetisation, whales vs. F2P and that stuff.

Should have a system where 1 to 3K players get a slot,3 to 5K get two slots so on and so on. That way, everybody gets a piece.
So far I have been pleased with this year's updates.
Another carrot to chase. They already one shot everyone and for all intents and purposes are immune to any damage. Not my money no dog in this fight and as long as they spend the lights stay on.

Cheat Death has a longer CD. Phoenix Ashes has a longer CD.
It needs a 300 seconds CD or, my own nifty brain storm....
Have it usable only ONCE per BG but you CHOOSE when to use it (have a little pop up near your skills? Interactive procs are a fun mechanic to mix with plain old CD based systems like DI.
We have no resource management, so things like that would be cool.
That or it needs to be restricted to PVE, have a rare version that is has some drawbacks big enough to make getting the lego version still worthwhile.

Since Awakening is now available at level 5, lower resonance players will also get a lot of new resonance sockets. The whole "whales get something others don't, whaawhahwaaa" is ridiculous.
you only get the awakening bonus at rank 5. more reso is still at rank 10

According to the information we have so far "„Legendary gems can be awakened at level 5 and the awekening attributes will increase with the level of the legendary gem“ - means the attributes will not be at 10% at the beginning, but there is no in information that the extra slots from awakening won't be available.
