  • The best used boat survey will never uncover every issue the best maintained boat can hide. As more and more center console boats big and small are being outfitted with hard tops as standard equipment, leaks in boat hard tops are just one more thing to add to your checklist if you are in the used boat market of this kind. The more accessories you have drilled through the top, the bigger chance of a leak and we have tons of accessories. We have ignored what was once a small issue for over two years until the problem has grown to harming our new JL Audio Speakers, internal wiring, and potentially the top itself due to rot. This video is the first part of us removing many bolts and screws, observing the problem(s), and devising a plan to fix the leaking hard top as well as some minor electrical work and powder coat paint chipping/flaking issues.

How does it cost to buy a new t-top?

Based on various parts I have inquired about I won't be the guy to buy a new one. For example I have read about new cushion set from the factory being $3,000 so I am thinking at least $1,500-$2500 for a new top. As far as I know mine is not beyond repair right now.
If I were wanting to spend that kind of cash I think I would replace the console, frame and top w/the second helm station.
