I’m in the video waving a big flag down on the fence. Loved seeing your thoughts on our league & your night in the Cove. Appreciate your kind words about our support too. We know it’s not the never if the Premier League. We know passes go astray & players panic under pressure. But it’s still our football & our club! Sydney FC has a different vibe playing down at Kogarah than we did at the old Allianz Stadium. But the club is one big family, from the CEO to the players to the supporters. Several of our players wanted to stay with us at their team hotel the night before the Grand Final rather than go to dinner. We have quality footballers in our side. Adam le Fondre moved from Bolton Wanderers Milos Ninkovic has become an Australian citizen & Alexander Baumjohann is an ex-Bundesliga Star You were there in the night ex Melbourne Victory stalwart Kosta Barbarouses scored 2 against his former team. They are beyond salty about it! 🐍
I’m a Sydney fan and very involved with the ultras, this isn’t even our biggest rivalry. It’s definitely a tense one but our biggest game is the derby against Western Sydney Wanderers, not Melbourne. Though we do hate Melbourne a lot
Sydney vs Victory is the biggest game in this country the two original teams in the two cities that have had a rivalry since Melbourne was founded in 1836
I remember I was about 12 years old, 2008, Melbourne home against Sydney, before the wanderers and heart/city were even in the league, would have been the biggest rivalry at the time. Riots and all. Was crazy. This is football
There was a W-League women’s game beforehand so it was seen as disrespect towards our female footballers to hold a march in the middle of their game. Sydney FC three teams one sky blue family 👕👕👕
You should go to Melbourne to see the big blue derby, because the crowd there is actually equal with teams fans, this game barely any Victory fans came
The Aussies have a decent little terrace culture going on. Best fan groups are The Cove, RBB from west Sydney, used to be North Terrace from MV but not sure how it’s going down there these days. Good to see
As a Melbourne Victory fan I think I can say the problem is that we are playing terrible and as a club we don't want to pay to fund the downward trajectory of the club
Goodbye Poch 😭 it was never pochettinos fault for how we're playing, it was 100% the players. Their passion to play has just vanished for some reason, but levy should've given poch another chance to prove himself 😭 poch has changed our club from a mid table side to a champions league spot almost every season. Terrible decision to get rid of him 😭
George, theres no ultras in Australia, we have casuals depending on clubs like youve got some in Sydney FC's club but its not an Ultra mentality as per say as compared to that of European Continent....but it is a hybrid of such between that and British styled atmospheres. Best of both worlds in terms of Terrace styles within Australian Football. But you probably havent been towards the best supported side in the Australian League which is 8 hours south of where you are in Melbourne at Melbourne Victory (even if they are my rivals, I support Melbourne City, owned by the Manchester City owners themselves) but youd have a far more ultralistic style down here in Melbourne than you would with Sydney FC, you might get it with Western Sydney Wanderers but thats about it. But nonetheless, welcome to Australia mate, enjoy football here.
@@timhoutas2199 yes off field....its horrible lopsided etc etc. Onfield. Its far far better than the Sydney Derby with 1 team winning all the time. Sydney fans do get tired of winning against Wanderers all the time. Its not the case with the Melbourne Derby almost evening out of results/clashes. City hierarchy knows it wont get thousands upon thousands of fans/supporters to City. But it can build on what it has off field. The few supporters and numerous and numerous amounts of seagulls.
no shit. compare the amount of money the prem makes compared to the a league. it doesn’t help when eurosnobs claim to be football fans but can’t even support football in their own country
Those Ultras take it too far, if you ask me. Not even paying attention to the match with all the screaming, smoke and flares 🙄 It’s still about football, lads.
we're better than Americans in atmosphere, were more European and better than anything than 90% of the English sides bring, at least we chant for 90 mins straight, only one we cant go against is Crystal Palace's Homesglen Ultras, Celtic's Green Brigade, Rangers Union Bears....the rest, our best terraces outsing and out perform any British terrace there is. We're more comparable to the European Continental Terraces if that. We're just better than most Brits.
Eli A. True. Most of the British atmospheres are dead. However, I've seen quite some videos about Australian fan culture and the pregame atmosphere and general chanting style, look of the tifo and appearence of the ultras, is very American.
@@elia.8001 That’s because England don’t have Ultras. The chanting isn’t choreographed either, it’s more spontaneous. I like the Aussie fan culture tho, it’s good to see.

🔥🔥🔥, Atmosphere before game wouldn't have been as good because no Sydney FC march was aloud (hope you enjoyed the beer shower when we scored)

Sydney FC three teams one sky blue family 👕👕👕
Definitely choose the right game imo Sydney v Tards at our stadium
Great vid. Honest and still gets into the football and the crowd. A true football fan. If only the A League were as good as EPL.
You should go to Melbourne to see the big blue derby, because the crowd there is actually equal with teams fans, this game barely any Victory fans came
Poch just got sacked 😭😭😭
If only you could of gone to Syd FC v West Syd Wanderers. That’s the real derby
Samuel Nockles Brisbane vs Victory*

Come to South Africa Chiefs Vs Pirates
Come to Greece,Serbia etc to see the real ultras
The ultras from Benfica (Portugal) are also very good but of course in Greece and served are better

Kyle Sekenski I know right. Ultras aren’t fans. All they do is stab people at every game.
