Oh Christine what a great haul and how much fun you and Sharon are a hoot wish I lived closer but to far to come from Australia but you put a smile on my face 🥰 cheers Robyn ❤
Loved this and all your purchases! Your outfit was great. I think it’s important to enjoy shows and not to worry too much about trying to vlog during them. I’m coming to your virtual sewing day tomorrow, so look forward to saying hi to you then! Xx
Thank you Christine for taking us with you to the show. I did think of going but I never enjoy the drive over the Blubberhouses. I have since discovered a coach company in Clitheroe who do a day trip so maybe next year. I think that your decision to book a hotel stay was a good one and I wonder did you go to Betty’s Tea Room, always a treat. I think you were very thoughtful in your purchases and didn’t get carried away.I look forward to seeing your embroidery🤣I dread to think of the kits that I have bought but not completed.Happy sewing Christine, love to your little doggies🥰
We will definitely be returning next year so we could meet up. Unfortunately Sharon had an event for 80 to cook for on Saturday evening so we went back Saturday morning. X
Lovely fabric for your jacket Christine, it's going to look stunning. I never thought to stay at the White Hart Hotel and the rooms look comfortable and you get parking which is great. We usually stay at the Crown Plaza which is at the Conference Centre and we go there for convenience and parking. I have an Accuquilt cutting machine and a die for rag quilting. If she is not in any hurry to make her quilt I could bring them down when I visit the social at beginning of next year. The dies are quite hard to come by now and the pieces are a bit of a faff by hand. Best thing to use to quilt these are actually brushed cotton. I've made a couple of baby ones.
Hi Libby, thanks for the info on the rag quilt. I’ll let Sharon know and would be lovely to see you at one of our Sewcials. I’ll be posting dates for next year in the insta page @north_west_sewcial today so give it a follow xx
The new way is pale concealer under the eyes to make them look bigger and it works .love the dress it’s a year later and I’m going in November (I’m exited now in July ) 🤣🤣🤣
How to make a Rag Quilt by So Sew Easy on You Tube might be useful for Sharon or How to make a Rag Quilt tutorial by Erica Arendt. Looks like you both had a great time and look forward to seeing you makes.
Morning Christine, it was lovely to meet you and Sharon, im the lady that was buying the zips at the same time as you. We didn't get home till 10 past 8 as our train was cancelled 😢. But had a fantastic day. Will defo try and make one of your socials in the new year xx
I live in Canada, rag quilts are still very popular here as they are so easy to make. You need brushed cotton fabric and a good pair of sharp scissors. Always pre wash this fabric as it shrinks 10-13 %. Brushed cotton will dull the needle as well. Cutting the seam allowance is a tedious job, and another hint is. fluffing it up in the tumble dryer can make a big mess, people here go to the laundry to do that.
I’ve done loads of cross stitch ladies in hats used to sit down for half an hour and three hours later id’e still be there do I need to take a little travel case on wheels in case the fabric is heavy ,is that allowed glad you enjoyed yourself might see you there will definitely speed if I see you xxx
Looks like you had a great time Christine. Do you know who the company is where you got the zips from and if they are online, they're just what I'm looking for 😊
