Thanks for watching and remember to always respect the power of your power tools.
We will see you soon.
I watched 4 reviews none talked about 1 1/4" rise off floor. Thanks for covering that.
Lifesaver! At about 5:40 plus you gave me the best method yet to simply and quickly note differing levels. I’ve got to sort out and level a new floor on sagging uneven joists and this is the best way to get my measurements that I’ve found. ❤
Glad I could help.
Best video explaining how to use a laser level, kudos to you for the great lesson. Much, very much appreciated!😎👍👍🙏🙏🍻
You have a good way of explaining why the floors aren't perfect. I have everything ready to go for the new eng hardwood floors but like everything else in life the finished result comes 90% from preparation so I'm not doing anything until I make sure the floors are flat and screwed down (nails were used on my floor). I'm going to pick up a laser today.
Woood subfloors are never perfect because of the lumber supporting them. Typically a 2x12 is not perfectly straight. The crown will be placed up by the carpenter's so the weight of everything tends to push them down. A cement floor tends to be even worse because of hand trowling. In any case all of these issues can be taken care of with self leveler. In my case, poor quility of workman ship when the addition was built on house. Floor is extremely out of level.
@@detroitdiy since my post I've been doing research and I think I may have answered my own question. Most laser levels have the horizontal line sitting so high off the floor. My engineered hardwood says there can't be any peaks or valleys more than 1/8th of an inch so I was hoping to get a laser level that would project a line 1/8th off the floor but that's not an option. Oh well

Watch this video and i will show you how a laser level will work great for you.
Yes, I hate it when I purchase boards that are different widths!
the self leveling feature is crap, use a level on the wall and adjust the laser to that
Do these lasers fit on a standard camera tripod?
@pinkypromise111 yes, most of them have both size thread inserts in them.
@@detroitdiy Thank you for replying back!👍

What tripod was that
One of the tripods I got from Amazon. I use them for making the videos. Not sure of the brand. They have alot of different tripods on there.
That paint stick looks awfully similar to a tape measure
Sure does!
i believe the customised stick would help with clarity/ease of placement when doing a large space.
1/8 thats more than 3mm, unacceptable. Even the cheapy is accurate to .5mm
I didn't click on this to hear about the history and life span of boards...
😂😂😂 awww
It's free. Only complaint when u have to pay
Where’s your video knumbnut?
Relax bud lol
