    Robotics is the biggest disappointment of my life. It's 2024, where are the robots? I guess its easier to write fancier papers and shift the blame than delivering real products...

      There are many robots! Go to any number of humanoid conferences, tons of those being made by all kinds of companies. Or if you want to see robots in production environments, welding robots have been around for a long time. In the mining industry there are large autonomous trucks that move soil and rocks to and fro.
      Now if you mean an intelligent, autonomous, general purpose robot, then that is a different story…

      The fault falls to the opportunists, like VCs, wall streets, manipulative rich elites who promote the idea that robots should be in humanoid form that act like human in our daily life right now.
