It is truly amazing how you always keep such high standards with every shoot .
It is very flattering, Robert, thank you, it's mostly the guns, they're high-end PCP and usually outshoot me 😉
Some shots spiral a little but you still know how to hit them. 💪 Thank you for taking us along on yet another successful pesting adventure. Alex! Big thumbs up! 👍
They do, Hasse, I noticed myself. I think it's the paint, buddy. I'm still testing some stuff. Cheers 🙂
Oh my. I love these longer episodes. "Oh, this is the young one and the sick one from like 10 minutes ago...'POING'...I just cured him." Priceless. We just went through a hurricane here. I was really lucky, but Cape Breton and Southern Newfoundland got absolutely pulverized. You would definitely be compensating for wind around here my friend. Great episode. A real "slug fest".
Man, I'm glad you're safe and the storm have passed, literally and figuratively speaking...
Thank you for finding the time to watch despite everything that's going on over there by you, friend 👍
Thanks for the most enjoyable video. I loved the slo-mo with the colored pellets, it was so easy to see the impact. Your wind shooting is amazing, as well as those at a steep angle. I hope it's not long until your next video. Cheers from Texas.
Thank you kindly, David 🙂 I'm already working on the next one, and let me say it's an honor to have you watching 🤝
Great idea moving to slugs. Negligible wind hold and excellent visual impact. Makes for an impressive video. Along with your marksmanship, of course.
Thank you, friend, most kind of you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂🤝
Have a great New Year!
I have shot in many military contests over the last 40 years & you are an excellent shot. I think you understand the principles of shooting a lot better than most l knew in the Army. To judge the wind & fall of shot at those distances on such a small moving target shows skill. Well done. I hope you & your family had a great Christmas & l wish you have a safe New Year. Cheers from "down under". Pete.
Pete, your comment is most flattering, such words coming from such a seasoned shooter really mean a lot 🤝 Thank you, friend, and have a great new year!
Another brilliant video, those slugs certainly do the job they were designed to do and that was some stunning shooting.
Thank you, Keith, I'm really pleased with their performance 🙂
Thanks to you to feed the cat, excelente work!!!
Thank you so much, friend 🙂🤝
That was some darn good shooting - love it when the feathers fly. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe bro.
I thank you for watching 🙂 And you stay safe too, brother 🤝
Your videos just keep getting better. Always enjoy your content brother!
Thanks a lot, mate, I really appreciate it 🙂🤝
Hi Alex, greetings from a cool overcast East Yorkshire. Yesterday, took out a skyrat that I've been after for a while. With avian flu still on the go around here, I am assured that the pigeons coming in the garden are feral, as all the racing pigeon lofts around, about four or five, are shut up tighter than a sharks arse, and that's watertight. We feed the wild song birds, and I don't mind the wild wood pigeons coming in, as they hoover up all the seed that comes off the table. So this bugger has been coming for a few days and chasing off the wild birds, but I was in my garden bar, with rifle in hand, only about 12 yards from the feeding station. Anyway, got it, neck through body. I've never had one bleed as much, all over the patio. The wife caught me washing down the blood, wasn't happy. Hasn't spoken to me since, but a few cocktails and nice Sunday roast has smoothed things over, until next time.
Good video, all the best, from Big Steve.
Hey, Big Steve 🙂 I must say your comment was most amusing 😄 Forgive me for saying that, I have my issues with my wife too, every now and then - mostly due to spending some of the weekends away from the family.
Nice going with the cocktails and cooking 😉👍
The blood thing - I completely understand, I've had cases I was worried workers at my permission might actually think it's a crime scene and alert the authorities 😉
Wow, is there really that much blood inside these? I always took them for relatively small animals.
@@DinnerForkTongue they are, mate. But it doesn't take a lot of blood to scare some people. If a sky rat hits the ground after a 80 feet fall from the top of a grain bin and rolls several times, sometimes there's a lot of blood and it stands out against the concrete.
@@AirRifleActivities Morning, Alex, yes I like a good laugh myself, there is too much sadness in this world to walk around with a long face.
You'll be pleased to know that all is smoothed over with my wife this morning.
Also been talking to my neighbour with the racing pigeons, he has asked if i'd like to come and shoot in his garded to clear some of this quite large flock of ferals that hang around, and more worrying, around his loft with this avian flu going on.
Longest shots will be less than 20 yards. Happy days!
@@stephenembleton8135 I'm glad all's fine with your lady, Steve 🙂 20 yards or not, the important thing is you will get the job done 👍
Excellent shooting Alex in those conditions, certainty making the feathers fly with those slugs, cracking video mate
Thank you, brother, I was really pleased with the performance of the ZANs 🤝
I was trained by the US ARMY on shooting long distance. I will say that you are one hell of a shot!! you know how to use the DOPE on your weapon system very well and accurate!
Thanks a mil, Manuel, it really means a lot coming from a sharpshooter with military background 🤝
Those long range shots in the wind are 1st class sir 👏
Thank you, kindly, friend 🤝 It's mostly the rifle, it outshoots me 🙂
Excellent, well done 👍.
Great to hear that prophet 2 regulator sing, such a unique sound.🙂
Zan 23 gr 218 and jsb Knockout 217 are proving accurate.
Currently using jsb 18gr pellets, 100bar reg setting. Pellet on pellet at 60m.
This RTI can shoot and be accurate with anything.😉
Hey, Gary 🙂 So it seems, a really versatile gun. 23 grains .218, just like Gregor showcased in his video. I'll have to see about that myself 😉 Cheers, friend 🤝
@@AirRifleActivities
I've only tried the Zan 218, no 217 available locally.😉
Make do and mend approach.

some fantastic pest control.....thanks for taking the time to make the video.
Thank you for watching, mate 🙂

Or free meal estate 😉
Genius
I use Zan projectiles myself they are fantastic and hit so hard. Will not be going back to pellets any time soon, have you noticed the sound they make on impact
Another great video Alex keep up the good work on the flying rats
True story, Mike, there's this loud pop when they hit the target 🙂 Thanks, mate 🙂
Excellent job the Zan slugs really do hit hard😂
Indeed they do, Robert, thank you 🙂🤝
Very nice vid again. Thos slugs hitting hard and love the paint on them. Take care and keep them vids coming bud
Will do, mate, thank you so much 🙂 I'll paint more of them 👍
Awesome video and footage , them Zane slug are very accurate out of the Prophet ll , real solid impacts 💥
Love the slowmotion footage my friend popping them sky rats 🎯
Thank you, friend 🙂 I intend to try some more of the wide range of ZANs in the future. Cheers 🙂

excellent plinking beefy chest shots... your definitely upping your trigger game buddy...nice work
Thanks, mate 🙂
Hello, please make a video of the huben k1 that you hunt at long distances and at high speeds with 40 grain slugs or 34 grain slugs. Please reply. Your follower from Iraq 🇮🇶
Hey, bud. I always reply, even with some delay.
I don't own a Huben right now, but I may get one soon. Out of curiosity, 40 gr and 34 gr slugs in what caliber?
@@AirRifleActivities 5.5 Thank you so much
It is interesting how you calculate the wind direction and velocity.
David, the wind is always gusting. So it's kinda sixth sense you develop with practice and one that doesn't always deliver the expected result. In my latest video I admitted that I miscalculated or misread the wind on at least a couple of shots.
Now this is a much better air rifle than that other thing you try to tote around by far! Love the RTI. Nice shooting boss! Hey, sta slingin that sweet air rifle lead! Ed da pro snippin air man💥👇💪😱
😄 That "other thing" 😄 You mean the L2. They both have their application, mate. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers 🙂
@@AirRifleActivities I understand I think. But if you want full potentials, you need a very good air rifle with quality, superior accuracy consistency and a very high shot count capability. At least a 580cc to 700cc bottle tank on an air rifle. With 350 to 550 shot capability. I know you think those other air rifles are very cool but they are not! The RTI is close. Just saying
Fantastic video Alex and as always awesome shooting mate great watch 😁😁👌👌👍👍👍👍
Thank you, Casper, I'm glad you had the patience to watch at least a fraction of this half an hour long monster of a video 😄🤝
@@AirRifleActivities I had to paude it mate im watching the rest right now 😁😁👍👍👍
Awesome shooting. It was a very well put together video. Keep up the good work brother
Thank you, Fabian 🙂 Means a lot, mate 👍
That second bird folded in half 😂😮 boom!!!
Yes, mate, slugs hit pretty hard 🙂 Cheers.
Used to live in Philadelphia, Pa in an apartment and pigeons were congregating on the roof. The pigeons were pooping 💩 all over the roof, steps, and railing. Use of a firearm for such purposes is forbidden in city limits. But one day I came home and found piles of pigeon feathers all over the steps. I looked up and saw a hawk circling. Apparently the hawk was picking off the pigeons. The pigeons never returned! 3:36
That's really interesting, David. I've seen hawks here and kestrels too. I've even shown some in my videos. They manage to scare them off for a minute or two. Then they return. A wild raptor would get one and leave; maybe two to feed its young ones. But they don't seem to stay too long at that place - I imagine people scare them.
@@AirRifleActivities Hawks diving in big cities like Philadelphia involves a higher degree of risk for the bird. The hawks can crash into buildings or vehicles. City pigeons are very experienced navigating in the big city.
Those slugs sure anchored them. Awesome marksmanship and a great video.
Thanks, brother 🙂 It's mostly the gun, not the "device" behind it 😄
@@AirRifleActivities 🤣not entirely true the rifle is only as good as the one operating it.
"I just cured him" I scared my cat laughing so hard.
😄 I'm glad you enjoyed it, mate, don't show your cat any of the videos, it'll want fresh pigeons 😉
Always great video content. Those slugs do a very neat job, not to mention the shooter!
Thanks for this.
Thank you, Reg, the slugs do a much better job than the shooter 😉
@@AirRifleActivities :)
Awesome shooting!! Seems those slugs are doing very well. I wouldn't worry much of the occasional wobble.....I had that too. Superb video buddy!! Oh, always nice to get crows down. 🙂
Hey, Bob, it's been a while, it's a pleasure to hear from you, Sir 🙂 Thank you for watching and for your comment. And I hope all is well with you and yours.
@@AirRifleActivities Thank you my brother. I still watch all your vids even though I seldom comment on anyone's vids.

Just incredible shots despite the wind!!
Thank you, friend, sometimes shooting in the wind can be really challenging 🙂
Some awesome long range shooting my friend 👍👍
Thank you, buddy, I appreciate it 🙂
Outstanding video. Those slugs are indeed effective. Thank you for the post.
Thank you for watching, Gery 🙂 More coming soon, friend.

Loving your videos, you are pulling off some fantastic shots, but l can’t help thinking you’ve got a job for life there with the way they are breeding 👍,keep them coming, many thanks 🙏
You're not wrong, Phillip, they nest in neighbouring properties where the owners do nothing about it...
I won't give up nonetheless - we've already reduced their numbers and we'll make sure we keep them low 😉
Thank you, friend 🙂
Good shooting. I am a marksman for my job and I also hunted all my life. You are a good shooter.
Thank you, friend, means a lot coming from a fellow shooter 🤝
I've watched a few of your clips now and really enjoy them thanks for bringing us all along with you and do you think you could maybe have some shots zoomed out to show how far you really are occasionally as it's hard to really guess isn't it cheers
Thank you, David 😊 In some of my videos I state the distance, when the distances are longer. If it's close to medium, I usually state at the video start.
Thank you for watching and welcome to the channel 🙂
هوايه الصيد جميل جدا ، شكرا على الفديو الرائع 👍🏻
You're welcome, mate, cheers!
That high pitch pinging sound I’m guessing the hammer hitting the valve is BRUTAL when wearing earbuds
No, you hardly hear that sound, it's the camera that's close to the valve and the slow mo footage. And it's a separate valve which can be removed if you like - it's not the one the hammer hits.
Great video and great shooting! The bright green paint makes the slugs very visible for seeing the shot connect with the birds. Yes I noticed a few shots corkscrewing slightly. Have fun and keep these awesome videos coming so we can share in the hunt, thank you! Have not seen your hunting companion out with you for a while hope all is well?!
Hey, bud 🙂 Thank you for watching and your comment 🤝 Like I said, I suspect the spiralling of the slugs was caused by the uneven paint distribution and also due to paint on the side of the slugs too. My bad on this one.
My boys are fine, thank you for asking, you'll see one of them in my next video, they've been busy but still are helping a lot in tests of projectiles and accessories 🙂
I like how you show the shots in slow motion. Good shooting
Glad you liked it, Henry, thanks, man 🙂
Excellent video! Researching the Prophet II as I want to shoot slugs also. The ZAN's are devastating, I don't see any of them flying off like when hit with pellets. Looks like the Prophet II is a great platform.
The gun is great, I'm really pleased with its performance, bud 🙂 ZANs didn't disappoint either. I'm about to try another brand and weight, video will be live in a couple of weeks or so. Stay tuned, bud, more interesting stuff coming soon, and thank you 🤝
Perfect as always!!!
Greetings from Croatia
Thank you, friend, greetings to Croatia 🙂
Looks like the prophet 2 with the new barrel is a beast!! Shooting those 22 cal slugs straight as an arrow. How fast are you shooting the slugs?
The gun really performs great, bud 🙂
I think I stated the velocity in the video but I'm not sure anymore, I usually have more than one video in the making at any given time 😄 It's 960-964 fps. Cheers 🙂
Great video and great shooting Alex!
Those Zan slugs drop those Sky Rats like a bad habit!

Very good hits! Your videos are great!

Maybe one of your best vids, dude ! Airguns used here are extremely lethal, it is impossible for skyrats to move as they get hit like they used to, with these powerful shots. They're wasted instantly !
You did a good job when you shot both parent and sick child. Please, the people demand more headshots ☠
Greetings from city of Oran (Algeria) ✌🇩🇿💖
Thank you for the nice words, mate 🙂 Glad you enjoy the video. I appreciate your attention and greetings to Algeria 👋
That is some nice shooting equipment. My first gun was a Daisy BB gun which
you could load 350 or 500 BBs. Can't remember how many because that was
55 years ago. The PCPs were not invented yet.
Hey, Garry 🙂 A lot of guys tell me about the gun you mentioned. Never seen one myself, only on YT videos. I'm sure you had a lot of fun with it back in the day and I understand why. That's also why every now and then I drop all that fancy accessories and long range shooting stuff, I attach a camera to my gun and just start walking around my permissions. Sometimes I don't even record my outings, I do them just for the thrill.
Thanks, mate 🤝
Thank You!
Thanks for watching, buddy 🙂🤝
That is a powerful sounding gun and you are using what looks like heavy pellets . What is the power rating of the gun ? I can see on your slow motion the pellets arcing into the target but you hit the folded wing in quite a few shots and this is a very strong part of the bird and can deflect pellets , better to hit them in softer parts such as neck or head . difficult to do at these distances in that very strong wind .
Thank you, Dave, few people realise how challenging it may be to shoot an airgun long distance in wind, and the anatomy of the sky rats too. Usually I try to place a shot on a pigeon facing me - like this they expose their vitals. But sometimes they just won't give me such an opportunity and then I take the shot either way, hoping that if the projectile deflects by the bone, then I'll finish the bird with a follow up. That being said, most airgun projectiles deflect because the really good ones are made of soft allow which deforms easily upon impact. The gun is highly adjustable, you can tune it in a wide range of power levels, depending on the caliber too. You can check the link in the video description, it'll take you to the website of the seller where you can find further details.
Thank you 🤝
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻what's that ping sound after shots ?
Thanks, bud 🙂 And to answer your question: that's like the signature sound of the Prophet 2. It's the reg, I think.
Nice shooting as always. You should do a compilation video "cats taking my birds".
Thank you, friend, I was thinking about the same 😄 As soon as I have some more time on my hands, I may create one. Cheers.
Grate video
Zan slugs do a good job
Indeed they do, thanks, mate 🙂
I just bought the rti priest Alex few weeks back but being honest i caunt get on with cocking bolt, so iv decided to swap the trigger block out with the trigger block of a prophet, nice side cocking lever, 👍👍😁😁
Yes, mate, the straight pull cocking of the Priests was not exactly what you would call smooth or easy... You did the right thing IMO.
I ve been using Zan projectiles, and they perform much better than pellets, but the sound of impact is much louder, and scares the pigeons
I completely agree, bud. But then again, every time you hit one of the sky rats the rest leave the area at least for a while, no matter how loud the sound of impact is.
“I just cured him.” 😂
Well, I may have been a bit out of line there 😉
alex the time as come welcome to the world of slugs, Zan are great slugs but i find that mako slugs by precision ballistics are better, I shoot a lot of squirrels & it needs to be a head shot with most pellets for a clean kill, But the slugs will bring down a squirrel with a body shot, The impact is a lot harder & makes a mess internal, Love the videos man keep them coming all the best....by the way them tracer slugs look cool...
Thank you, friend 🙂
You may have a point about the Makos, I have to try them at some point.
Tracers take a while to paint but I have sth else in mind there too 😉
Cheers 🙂

I was reading through the comment trying to see if anyone mentioned the high pitched ringing sound when the gun is fired but found nothing concrete. Is the sound from the reg or the hammer striking the valve bud? It is a unique sound for sure and one I hope to have soon. Great shooting and video/editing work also. Thank you. BTW My favorite way to cure sick pigeons 😂👍💯
I dunno what component it is, but damn if it doesn't sound like a shrill tuning fork.
@@DinnerForkTongue If I had to guess I would say the regulator is turned up a bit and the sound is a hardened steel hammer and valve. Regulators don’t make that sound from my limited experience. They make more of a hiss not a ping. I wonder if RTI has a de-pinger in the works. Lord knows their engineering dept never stops or sleeps thank goodness.
That's the best way to cure those pests, Heath 😉 I was expecting to get some comments about that noise myself. There are some actually, it's not just you. The sound comes from the reg and has become like the "signature sound" of the gun 😉
The reg was set to 135 bar so it was not turned up too much, mate - the new valve by RTI makes sure there's no need for that unless you're shooting very heavy projectiles. Thanks, brother.
