The more I listen to it, the more I like it. I think it has become my favorite Hades OST ever. The dread, the tension, the drama, the power and rage... It really fits Prometheus bossfight.
I love how the composition doesn't make the mistake a lot of electro-orchestral pieces make where they just let the lead guitar dominate with a bit of orchestral backing. Every section gets a lead role.
You know when our parents joked about climbing over treacherous mountain tops and crossing croc-infested rivers to get to school in the morning? But now you are standing at the very same mountain and slowly realising they weren't fucking around. -They just forgot to tell you about the active volcano part with lava sharks.
7:37 to 8:03 has to be one of my favorite portions of any Supergiant song ever, it sells the power and menace of Prometheus so incredibly well, can't wait for more!
The relatively slow beat of this song really sends a feeling of dread, at least for me. The music isn't encouraging me to keep fighting, it's pressing against me, it's empowering Prometheseus. But I keep fighting anyways, there's no time to give in, not with so much at stake. I fucking love boss themes that send a feeling of dread and hopelessness, like Adventure's End from Mario & Luigi Dream Team, probably because I'm a Nintendo boy and typically unacquainted with this kind of stuff.
The foreboding, the heaviness, the orchestra. I would give a lot for a chance to listen to this live. Ahhhhh no my soul is leaving my body, I’m moving to live in the Crossroads as a shade
Always lovely to hear more Supergiant music, and thanks for posting the songs to your official channel for everyone to enjoy. I still play the Bastion and Hades OST's while working, and hearing the Pyre White Lute OST inspired me to purchase the game and every OST you've released. Excited for Hades II! 💜💘
@marigolden_mariposa they're playing the update while on that shadow garden grown dark evil pack. Stuff that can only be found in the Hashish transport paths in Azerbaijan. The pack that was watered with the blood of 12 dragons
It should be noted that this theme is a general theme symbolising the eponymous wrath of the heavens, or the olympian gods being generally quite petty and vengeful, and this is *not* prometheus's theme (his is olympus aflame). We know this from in-game music player shade's menu describing songs. The reason this is important to note is the metal here is pretty much melodic doom metal and way darker than Hades's own theme and pretty much any cthonic theme, which is more frenetic, but still more positive than this fairly villainous theme that is assigned to the gods. Not gonna say any more about this coz it could be spoilers, but anyone paying close attention to the story, as well as the new arachne content in olympic update knows supergiant is cooking with gas for hades 2. Seriously can't wait for the full story.
6:49 getting so hype im literally vibrating, 7:14 being the payoff... 7:40??? EPIC oh and i love love love how it transitions to a more steady, heavy beat i am so happy to be alive to be able to listen to this
Honestly, this tracks feels like they put together Elden Ring and Hades OST (especially the first half) edit : of course it means it's absolutely insane
There are parts of this that give me Basil Poledouris vibes. Chronos sucks, I don't want to grow old and die. But my man Prometheus gifted us FIRE! I can't help but be just a little bit in his corner for this one.
Prometheus' fight reminds me of the Prime Souls in ULTRAKILL- absolutely no breathing room whatsoever, just an infinite chain-combo of _flames, fists, and fury..._
And so Darren Korb gave fire unto humanity (again)
I read this in the narrator's voice lol
for this he was chained to a rock for aeons, and given the ability to do 60 damage in one attack
@@uffle 150 you mean xD
I’m sorry for ever trying to compose music
Hell naw!! The more we all create, the bigger music itself becomes.
Don't forget, this was an entire orchestra, every single one of them started somewhere too
Forgive my hubris
Don't be ashamed, let it inspire you to be your best, more music is good for all of us
"I regret everything! -- I regret everything I've ever composed!"
0:00 to 9:20 just hits so hard, dang
So true. ✌️😔
“You gods… I hate… you all..”
5:49 When you start headbanging to violins.
Prometheus didn’t steal fire from the gods, Darren Korb did and gave it to abbey road
The more I listen to it, the more I like it.

Prometheus is the clear representation of a walking jumpscare.
These new songs make me scream "Zeus... ZEUS!"
“Your son has returned; I bring the destruction of Olympus!” Ahh song 🎵‼🔥
THE FURY OF OLYMPUS
What a banger, combination of rock and orchestra with flutes and choral.
Why does this part hit so hard. 4:57 awesome just awesome.
now we are cooking with fire
Underrated joke 😂

Will it turn my pacemaker off?
Sounds like an angry spartan trying to get revenge for the death of his family by the hands of a god
Ares!!
The first thing I said to myself was “it reminds me of god of war” 😭
exactly my thoughs
Some big Bear McCreary vibes
I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE
I wonder how the story is going to evolve in Hades 2 and how this song will be incorporated, because maaan this song is good
They got a new orchestra and went all out, new songs hit harder than Prometheus
SUPER GIAAAANT! GIVE ME DIONYSUS' PANTIES AS AN ITEM, AND MY LIFE, IS YOURS!
Who knows, it might be his keepsake (though I doubt it lmao)
Gonna wear it as a hat
Easy to cosplay, actually

good point, it will be great to see something really f*cked up after the wholesome theme of hades :D
the way i linger for a while after prometheus says his last pre-battle line just to listen to this bop and only then press space bar to proceed....
gods this sounds so rich i need to stuff this into my brain, like at 5:49 it made me want to scream (in a good way)
6:49 getting so hype im literally vibrating, 7:14 being the payoff... 7:40??? EPIC oh and i love love love how it transitions to a more steady, heavy beat i am so happy to be alive to be able to listen to this
i KNOW i want to inject this shit into my body!!! raagghh!!!
this is like one of my fave songs from Hades II now 🥺
Shoot this is fire
That flute solo (or whatever the instrument is) is just... ugh! my soul-
Chronos's forces have nothing against Olympus now that they have *the process* on their side

1:12 "THE SISTERS OF FATE COULDN'T HOLD ME, OLYMPUS COULDN'T STOP ME. AND YOU WILL NOT SEE THE END OF THIS DAY ZEUUUUUUS!"
im an absolute sucker for distortion effects, 5:08 is eargasm material for me. SO GOOD
If Darren Korb composed for God of War
