I love your goal for 200 episodes. Can you believe you're almost a quarter of the way done?? It seems to have just started and the goal is already coming fast. Maybe 300.
Next harvest, you could rent Macdon equipment and harvest your fields, then put it on a worker for a contract field and get a 25% increased yield. After that, you can put the excess into a rented grain mill for flour or just sell the rest of the crop from the contract.
landscaping with a smoothening brush works on fields and it does not delete them like it did previously, you could try to make a quick pass over the field to smooth out the ground a bit, i did myself when i bought some of those fields, ALSO, third time i mention this, you can paint out the field on the paddy field where you get water from, it will still fill up with water, a good way to make the yard look nice
Indeed! And if it is not solved by the 1.3 patch, yu could smoothen the field, like has been suggested by Gaenji6852. Smoothen will not remove the field, so that is safe to try (as long as there is no crop or swath in the field).
In case you missed it on the 1.3 patch notes (not sure when this was recorded) the direct seeders should now plant over the hail damage. I don't think I'll ever get used to how that MacDon looks, but that's too substantial a bonus to turn up my nose at. Cheers!
Hey Dag, always ignore the negative comments, we love your content truly. Most days in the morning im waiting for your uploads so i can grab a cup of coffe and chill! May the Lord Jesus bless you all!
Other then the rudeness of how the comment was worded, it is a legitimate comment. The bits that are being missed aren't a bug. It's the game working exactly as it's supposed to. Because Dagger extended the field, it now covers a VERY uneven bit of terrain. Which isn't a huge deal when he's using the smaller width machinery like hi planters and the Massey's header, but it becomes an issue with the larger MacDon header. It's wide enough that the 2 ends of the header are hitting the higher ground, which pushes the header up and leaves the grain in the middle unable to be harvested. So when he went back after and harvested WITH the terrain, instead of against it, it worked fine. For that part of the field Dagger will just have to do one of 4 things: 1: not plant in that section, or just not harvest it, as it's too uneven for the header 2: use the narrower header on the Massey which is able to squeeze between the raised parts and harvest that bit, but will lose out on the bonus from swathing it 3: do what he did this time and go back over those sections at another angle, to go with the dips in the terrain instead of against them, allowing the header to dip into the valley and get the grain 4: use a flexible header later down the line, which are made to bend with the terrain, so that most of the header can stay at ground level, even if one of the ends hits a raised part. Though, that'll also mean using a normal header which looses the swathing bonus. So really, 3 is the best option, even if it takes more time to harvest. But that's the downside of extending the field into such an uneven bit of land.
if you want to fix the mac don header problem you can run the smoothen tool over the parts that are missed it but it does cost money so its not the best solution
Anyone telling you you're dumb for the game not functioning as intended is just being rude. Please ignore them. You make great content and we all appreciate your efforts!
Daggerwin your not “dim” in the slightest! I watch your machinery restorer channel and consider myself handy with cars and other machinery but the quality to which you do the work to on those jobs is something to be proud of! Also looking forward to the new feel of that channel with just showing anything you’re working on instead of just only the long form restorations! Keep up the good work!
Daggerwin if you want to not have to go sideways with the swather you can soften the field before harvest or you can enable the swather and drive backwards and it will collect it keep up the good work 😊
Lettuce will drastically increase your income that’s for sure. I had 1 large greenhouse set just to lettuce for an entire in game year. Then I sold it at the best price in January. I had something like 44 pallets around there anyways and I got just under around 160k for all of it. Definitely worth doing in the early stages just to help grow the farm a bit more.
But not activating other productions does not increase lettuce's production cycles per month, does it? So growing everything makes more money, it's just a question of greenhouse storage space, you have to clean it more often
It’s actually the opposite, the more productions enabled the slower it is. So let’s say you had Chilli and Lettuce enabled, then it would half the cycles per month for each of them. 3 productions would divide it by 3 so on and so forth. The more products enabled the lower number of cycles it does per month. To optimise production you’re better off having only 1 product being produced for maximum efficiency. Its not very well shown on the game, it would be useful if it updated the cycles per month to reflect its production rate when more is enabled
You should maybe just rent a big bailer until you can afford one, don't think it would cost that much and then you have a lot easier big bails to manoeuvre around the farm!
The MacDon definitely has an issue with GPS - if you don't set it up and just do it manually, you should be fine. I had the same issue as you, and direction of harvesting didn't make a difference until I switched GPS off and came back to that area later.
Just to let you know you don’t need straw unless you produce some manure so there’s no need for straw unless you’re going to sell it and straw doesn’t sell that much so you better off using the straw as a mulch to get another two or 3% on your fields
With the sunflowers when you are harvesting 1 rent the header but also do a contract with the header as well or 2 do a contract for cutting sunflowers and rent the machines to do the contract and use it on your own field as well. When you bought the sunflower field I think you should have waited until it was ready for harvest and do all the contracts on the field to maximise your yield
It might be quite beneficial to rent the dairy instead of using the one you placed considering the processing time between sawmills. Also can you please run one of the £60 engines until it dies, the yellow and red ones seemed to be running very rough at the end of the 60 minutes and I was waiting for one of them to die.
The only real way to fix the meadow grass issue is to turn it into a field with a plow then plant grass, that way it will keep growing back and actually provide food.
It is arguably more realistic that the header wont cut on the eneven ground, makes us have to think a bit more about ground levels with field expansion (which you would have to do IRL).
I saw that if you put a weight (with a built in hitch) on the back of a tractor, the thing pulled is no longer subject it’s speed, and you can then pull as fast as the tractor can go. (Even when pulled by a worker)
In 2000 there was a storm that included many tornadoes in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in Texas. In that storm, my family watched as a tornado funneled up as it was coming right toward our neighborhood. The same tornado came back down about a mile further with our neighborhood in the direct line of its path. To this day i dont know why we were spared...
You are right the baler seems to not pick up swaths that have grain still in them. I do find it hard sometimes to see the difference between threshed swathes and wholegrain swathes. I have found that going over as best i can with the harvester, then bailing the straw reveals the swathes that still hold grain which I go over with the combine. I haven't tried but if the Macdon gives 25% more yield for crops maybe it does with the mower head as well. I know it is not as wide but you would end up with more bales for silage or hay that way.
Hey Dags love the videos. I had an idea about using the loans. You could think of it as a home equity line of credit to use whenever you need it to help keep the series moving along. Plus I’m not sure if you can get a corn/sunflower header for your current combine. 👍
The swather isnt the problem as far as the uneven ground. Any large header will have that problem. It had that same problem in fs 22. Anytime when the header cant cut straight across it wont cut at all. Adding to your field is what made your problem.😊
@Daggerwin why not rent a truck and double hopper trailer to do a mixed load of grain to the grainmill in future. Rather then 5 or 6 small loads go 2 or 3 big loads and im 99% sure youd profit allot
@Daggerwin I dont know if you know this or not, since I have never seen you do it, but your telehandlers can (x) unfold, which sits you up higher and you can easiler see better when you are stacking with your fork. I just learned. Its really nice when you are stacking, you can see better.
Love the series. I see i need to catch up on some episodes that I missed. Just and FYI. Not sure if you know this. For water there is an "Old Wheel with water tank" wind wheel that costs 10 000 euro that can supply water. It is in the build menu under "Containers". So you don't have to flood the rice field every time. I know it is expensive but see it as a cost of 1 collectable and then free water. It fit into the farm aesthetic and there is not a 2x2m random rice paddy on the farm. Also try to use the "Soften" tool in terrain editor to "level" the field that does not want to get harvested by the Macdon header. Not sure if you have already tried that and I missed it
that happen a lot with headders in the shop when they spawn usually a weel is stuck in the ground also play the game ur way, if u r having fun that's all that matter don't let those comments get to u
You should consider getting the Stock Price Checker mod. It shows you the best prices and locations for each commodity you have and gives cumulative total for how much profit you have to make.
As many others have said in past videos, the cows are NOT fine. Their health is at 0%. The meadow grass that comes when you place the pasture is bugged currently, and isn't just not registering in the screen, it's actually not counted as food at all past the first month or so. What several people have suggested is to either super strength your tractor and mower into the field and mow it once, or for a more realistic option, you can buy the small riding mower, toss that over the fence, and mow it that way. (Thought I'd also say that using super strength in this case isn't really unrealistic, as IRL there would be a gate somewhere in the fence so you could access the pasture. How else do you get the cows in and out of the field?) Either way, mowing that field once should fix the bug and have it be treated the same as your barn's field. The barn field actually registers the meadow as food, because you didn't use the meadow that comes with the barn. You had planted that as grass yourself before you bought the barn, then just used the existing grass field, instead of spawning a new, bugged, meadow.
I think you can try smoothening the terrain, afaik it doesnt remove the arable ground, because it seems to me atleast, the inflexible header of the macdon is not reaching the crops in the concave areas of the field, like the ends of the header are pushing up the middle relative to the ground
u need the other massy Ferguson I think it is that the rear end tilts up for hills to level the combine and the headers and gle tilt sideways for uneven hills so u dont get the missed parts while combining
with the field you have to harvest sideways if you use the soften land tool on max size change to round using B key this now acts like it did in FS19 it raises and lowers at the same time so might get rid of that annoying dip that the headers cant cope with flexi headers should work ok, before you do this save the game and turn off auto save in case you mess up :) ps i should read all comment first lol already been mentioned. as always loving this series and plenty of outtakes :)
i know im late but, the solution to the wheel stuck underground is to attach the harvester to it, and fold/unfold the header, the folding animation is locked so it cant be affected my immovable objects, forcing the wheel off the ground
Not sure but I think there are some issues with that steep field. I use it for grass and even the butterfly mowers skip bits, and those are usually quite flexible.
it's actually not your fault or even the game's for the swather's header not working right. the field is uneven and the macdon machinery is just not equipped to deal with the slopes on that field. it cant keep the header level with the ground because there is no header leveling function like those on the fendt csl and massey ferguson al4 harvesters. hopefully a update/mod will add the smaller macdoc headers for steep slope work.
Having a mod that is almost cheating due to the obscenely low cost is not genius... Look at the cost at of hiring a 300k tractor vs the cost of 300k production building.
hi dag i have been watching your videos since before covid they really make my day you are pretty much the only youtuber i watch and 2 videos a day are awesome. only problem is i am struggling to keep up! keep up the good work❤
Question for everyone. Please be nice. Regarding FS19 is there any difference between the premium edition and Giants Season Pass? Trying to settle a friendly argument about what come with each. Is there any thing in the Premium packag that's not covered with the Season Pass? Thank you to all who read. And a special thank you to any who help with an answer....❤❤❤
The patches that dont get harvested by the swatter is because they have a dip or are not smooth enoug for the header. i had this in fs22 , it helps if you just smooth the terain using the terraform tool.
I actually thought the trailer didn't have a wheel 😂😂😂 I was thinking to myself, how is that actually possible. Things like these could only happen yo you daggerwin 😂 It makes for good immersion though..! 😂
As of today, there has been a patch, i am yet to try the swather on uneven ground. however i believe the MacDon header is not "flexing" on the uneven terrain. it is acting as a solid object at all times.
I think the mac don header struggles where the fields go into valleys as in a V shape under the header, seeing as the header is so wide and thus voids the entire row as a bug or something.
in real life this is very common where a long header will not work on certain hilly areas. the farmers will have the land "leveled" for their long headers to work better.
Could you terraform the field to smooth out the slopes and then plow a new field in ? I know that kind of sucks seeing the game and equipment should just work, but it might be a workaround until it's fixed.
On tonight's episode of Farming Simulator, I watch a tornado. A wheel gets suck in the ground, and i look at a muddy tire
Love your comments!
GTREAT
Your comments are helarious
All the signs are there if you know where to look.
Awww they do small
I love your goal for 200 episodes. Can you believe you're almost a quarter of the way done?? It seems to have just started and the goal is already coming fast. Maybe 300.
they'll have a sweet new mod map out he'll have to play by then.

contract works only with a mod

Also fixes the shy Swather wheel

@@ScientistMan96 can’t he just smoothen the land with the landscaping tool. Just use the really large smoothing brush then re-plow
I believe the "HAIL DAMAGE" can be corrected by plowing the field.
Daggerwin, good sir. What must the viewers do to persuade you to bring back the old,. "Daggerwin, realism is key" introduction?
if you want to fix the mac don header problem you can run the smoothen tool over the parts that are missed it but it does cost money so its not the best solution

Harvester issue, I think it's a feature not bug. They added 2 combine harvesters designed for hills / levelling combines, look in shop.

Keep up the good work Daggerwin, this series is awesome.
28:30 that's the built in jousting feature for if another tractor approaches you menacingly
Daggerwin, you can get the Kuhn 4m subsoiler from Mod hub instead of renting the plow. Will be nice to show off the new texture.
Good luck on the last 55 thousand subscribers tell you hit a mil🎉
i think if you try smooth tool to smooth the areas that wont let you harvest that might fix the field untill they put out a patch :) worth a try
The next time you rent the MacDon, you can use the flex draper head and that way you won’t miss any bits in the field like you previously have😊
With the sunflowers when you are harvesting 1 rent the header but also do a contract with the header as well or 2 do a contract for cutting sunflowers and rent the machines to do the contract and use it on your own field as well.
When you bought the sunflower field I think you should have waited until it was ready for harvest and do all the contracts on the field to maximise your yield
You might want to try the flexible header for the swather. It's more expensive but it may help cure the problem of missing bits.

Also can you please run one of the £60 engines until it dies, the yellow and red ones seemed to be running very rough at the end of the 60 minutes and I was waiting for one of them to die.
Hutan Pantai's dairy is only a sell point and not a production, you have to build one to use as a production unfortunately.
On wet rice you only flood the field for the next two months or plants will die. You can read about it in the help menu! Hope this helps
Dagger do the grapes on the back side on the hill area. The vinyards looks so good on the hills
The only real way to fix the meadow grass issue is to turn it into a field with a plow then plant grass, that way it will keep growing back and actually provide food.
Loving the series nice easy way to wakeup and fall asleep to.
It is arguably more realistic that the header wont cut on the eneven ground, makes us have to think a bit more about ground levels with field expansion (which you would have to do IRL).
soften the the field in building mode, that should help on the harvest
i think renting production make the game too easy
The wood chips you can put it in ur tipper trailer and sell it at the animal dealer
Daggers get the 20k subsoiler, it gives you a plowed and cultivated state. Love your videos mate 😊
you can use the softening tool to minimiz those patches when harvesting
I saw that if you put a
weight (with a built in hitch) on the back of a tractor, the thing pulled is no longer subject it’s speed, and you can then pull as fast as the tractor can go. (Even when pulled by a worker)
The best part of using the swather to mow is the fact that it drops rows, so you no longer need a wind tower for silage and grass.
It's good that the tornado doesn't come lots
You should smoothen the uneven field so harvesters won't miss any pieces
You are right the baler seems to not pick up swaths that have grain still in them. I do find it hard sometimes to see the difference between threshed swathes and wholegrain swathes. I have found that going over as best i can with the harvester, then bailing the straw reveals the swathes that still hold grain which I go over with the combine. Next time you use the Macdon try the FD140 Flexdraper instead, it might work better on the uneven ground
The swather isnt the problem as far as the uneven ground. Any large header will have that problem. It had that same problem in fs 22. Anytime when the header cant cut straight across it wont cut at all. Adding to your field is what made your problem.😊
Don't forget again that you can side swath so two swaths go into one. This means less work.
@Daggerwin why not rent a truck and double hopper trailer to do a mixed load of grain to the grainmill in future. Rather then 5 or 6 small loads go 2 or 3 big loads and im 99% sure youd profit allot
you need to get the health of the cows to 100 by giving them food to get a load more money
@Daggerwin I dont know if you know this or not, since I have never seen you do it, but your telehandlers can (x) unfold, which sits you up higher and you can easiler see better when you are stacking with your fork. I just learned. Its really nice when you are stacking, you can see better.
Update 1.3 has fixed the issues with the macdon
Maybe try using terraforming tools to smooth the terrain on field 32
18:30 this music reminds me of the old midi tracks from the early 2000's web games
Dagger if you stack two pallets in front of each other and 2 on top you can carry 4x pallets instead of 3
Dont need to worry about beams and long planks for temple its going to need aloooot og those two
Love the series.
Not sure if you have already tried that and I missed it
If u smooth the feild with landscaping tool it would help with harvest
hey daggerwin, have you considered using the farm shop sell point. It could save a lot of travelling around the map
that happen a lot with headders in the shop when they spawn usually a weel is stuck in the ground
also play the game ur way, if u r having fun that's all that matter
don't let those comments get to u
You gotta use the auto leveling combines for the hilly fields. There are two of them.
Daggerwin is the best farming sim player i watched.love from malaysia.❤
You should consider getting the Stock Price Checker mod. It shows you the best prices and locations for each commodity you have and gives cumulative total for how much profit you have to make.
the tornado might be the most underwhelming "addition" ive ever seen in a game
As many others have said in past videos, the cows are NOT fine. Their health is at 0%. The meadow grass that comes when you place the pasture is bugged currently, and isn't just not registering in the screen, it's actually not counted as food at all past the first month or so.

Man you really are pumping out these episodes like crazy loving this new map
Try the flex head next time might work better for the harvest
u need the other massy Ferguson I think it is that the rear end tilts up for hills to level the combine and the headers and gle tilt sideways for uneven hills so u dont get the missed parts while combining

I am curious how the Macdon will handle contract work, it may be a great way to get an even larger bonus than usual, especially on large fields
i know im late but, the solution to the wheel stuck underground is to attach the harvester to it, and fold/unfold the header, the folding animation is locked so it cant be affected my immovable objects, forcing the wheel off the ground
maybe try to soften/even out the field with teraformin might solve the issue with missed parts ? feels like it should help at lest :S
the header spawned underground basicly, its known bug that should be fixed with 1.3, otherwise just reset to the shop.
The swather should still cut it, just not as low, that's how it would be in real life
I think you might need to use the terrain tool in the big field
Hi Dag. You need to level the ground for these large headers.
Wish Giants added field harvesting Lettice, spinach has a similar harvester to Lettice. Also onions with their harvesters and other similar crops.
Great video Daggerwin! It was a genius idea to rent the productions as it's paying off with big money!
Having a mod that is almost cheating due to the obscenely low cost is not genius... Look at the cost at of hiring a 300k tractor vs the cost of 300k production building.
the temple takes almost 200 pallets of beams and almost 200 pallets of long planks. short planks are an outlier at just 12 pallets
You sounded so soft when you say "like faffing about" 😂.
When u say let us, i always hear the food lettuce 😂
Hey Dag, if you Landscape & Smooth field 32 it will correct the harvesting issues.
hi dag i have been watching your videos since before covid they really make my day you are pretty much the only youtuber i watch and 2 videos a day are awesome. only problem is i am struggling to keep up! keep up the good work❤
I'm watching your last co survival series of 22 and every night I see notifications of your videos now i can't keep up. Lol
Maybe when you have more money smooth the field a bit
Keep up the good work! Very entertaining!
I think the mac don header struggles where the fields go into valleys as in a V shape under the header, seeing as the header is so wide and thus voids the entire row as a bug or something.
Not sure if you mention the update in this video but the wood sell point at the other map has been moved to a more convenient area at the saw meal
I think the new update has a patch note for fixing those random damaged spots not being re-seeded correctly
in real life this is very common where a long header will not work on certain hilly areas. the farmers will have the land "leveled" for their long headers to work better.
New larger Headers are suppose to flex in real life
Hey Daggerwin use terrain tool after plowing to smooth the field out .
We're going to have to change your name to Daggerwin the Sign collector. 🤪🤣🤣
28:00🤣
8:18 you can try smoothing in the landscaping tools?
Could you terraform the field to smooth out the slopes and then plow a new field in ? I know that kind of sucks seeing the game and equipment should just work, but it might be a workaround until it's fixed.
