Sir, I made an ORCID ID. On the same day, I tried searching my ID in Scopus, but nothing shows up. Do I have to post a submission in ORCID first in order to match my Scopus profile?
You need to have Scopus publications and the same to be listed in Orcid, Regards

In Scopus we can't create an author ID, Scopus will assign the author ID itself

In that case, contact the Scopus support team service.elsevier.com/app/contact/supporthub/scopus/
and write to them about it and request to link and activate her Scopus ID. Regards

Your name should automatically be reflected and when you publish multiple articles with different names (short form/style) later you may have an option to select from the dashboard

Thank you for approaching the reason may be (1) you may not have published Scopus Article yet (2) your article is not indexed in Scopus (3) If you have published recently, and it is indexed in Scopus, so it might take couple of month to reflect and after that your ID will be generated automatically via Scopus & you may do the same search after that. (4) The Name & Affiliation mentioned in the article and in your search must be Same

If the university is not mentioned in the Scopus data base then how we can register our university/institute in the Scopus database
Normally Affiliation ID gets created once affiliated faculty/staff publish papers which are indexed in Scopus, however, If your University/institute doesn't have Affiliation ID, may request Scopus team @ service.elsevier.com/app/contact/supporthub/scopuscontent/

A Scopus Author ID is automatically generated for the first time one of your publications is indexed in Scopus.
@@eSupportforResearch - Without any publication, no Scopus ID can be created and hence no reviewer access to Elsevier right?

@@GameboyZoneRocks reviewer access to Elsevier is different, you need to review articles pf Elsevier journals to get access to Science Direct/Elsevier. Regards

As earlier mentioned, If the journal was indexed during the publication time, then yes it should be visible in Scopus

One more query is in how many days does the published paper of an author appears in the author search in Scopus?
It depends upon the Journals and papers submission to Scopus database. It varies from 1-6 months case basis.

@@eSupportforResearch Sir, the papers are in the discontinued journal. I got them publishrd from "agents", that I now regret. Can I now anyway create my account?
@@suhailmohammed411 you may create account but I doubt those papers will appear in your account as that Journal is discontinued and probably those papers are not included in Scopus, how ever you may check as suggested above.
