I looked at that and guessed, "probably around 1". Not far off :)
As of this writing, the expression in the thumbnail does not quite match the expression in the video: the thumbnail shows the denominator for the second term as being √2 - √(2+√3) instead of √2 - √(2-√3) as in the video. As I first tried to solve the problem from the thumbnail alone, this discrepancy took me off course.
