I love seeing things like this. It's a genuine piece of American folk art. It exhibits the highest levels of imagination, creativity, and craftsmanship. I honor you Sir. Well done.
Goddamn I love mechanics. When everything is working how you made it and want it to work. Especially a project like this trike. Every day when it is not raining and having this in your garage,is like a new day.
I'm glad this video is finally getting some exposure! The 8:71 BDS blown V8 was built by Tim Cotterill (owner who is shown riding the beast) with John Arruzza, and Michael Lees with a ten gallon fuel cell and three speed and was just delivered Jan, 2009. The bike has around a 144" wheelbase and although not fully proven is estimated to take 1000 bhp running on pump gas. Tim has taken it as fast as 150 MPH in the desert and he's sure there is more in there.
I am an Artist and former Custom Car builder and this is the Baddest Piece of Art I have ever seen on three wheels besides the Builders other Vehicles.......
hahaha => the part when he picked up that woman he used a parachute ;-D never saw that one comming ;-) and then the subtle smile on his face, beautiful ;-D nicely filmed and great piece of art he's riding ;-)
Not bad for a boy from Leicester in the UK whos pretty good at carving birds and dont forget those pretty cool frogs he makes. As we say here, "the boy done well". What a stunning trike.
Saw this awesome bike on another post getting hated on by bunch of idiots who don't appreciate craftsmanship. Seeing this front on pulling out the garage at the start of the video put a big grin on my face. This is utterly crazy in the best possible way... love it. Nice video.
The VIDEO production NEVER put the trike on a dyno. The picture was NEVER 'sped up". We used a camera car to follow and flank the Rocket II. We also mounted the camera in numerous places ON THE TRIKE itself. MOST of the video is shots from the hard mounts. The song people are asking about is an original piece made for the edit. We did have to stop for A LOT of ice to cool that thing down frequently. Tim didn't receive ANY tickets. The crew received THREE in the making of this video.
I'm sure if you asked Frogman, he'd tell you that yes - his leaning into the curves shift of his body weight really does impact a faster corner with this 4 wheeled trike layout! Getting his groove on. Nicely done "trike"!! cruzen3
hi tim been searching for your cbx for years, have the photo on my garage wall saw this then noticed cbx in background, nice to see the cbx is still alive
WAUUWWW, I THOUGHT I'VE SEEN IT ALL, BUT THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST INCREDIBLE, BEAUTIFULL... WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT, THERE ARE NO WORDS HOW I CAN DESCRIBE HOW AMAZED I AM BY THIS PEACE OF ART !!!!
Was going back to work after my lunch break when, passed by this Crazy Ass trike on Gardena Blvd. I road a couple blocks then thought, I gotta go back and see what the hell that Silver Monster was. That's when I met Tim Cotterill & his Rocket II. Truly the most impressive fab work I have ever seen. Glad I spoke with him, cool dude. When I got back to work I was stoked cuz.... to see fab work like this it really motivates me to do something similar but on a much smaller scale. -Honest Mike
I use to work three door down from Tim. A true Renaissance man. He does sculpture in bronze and is known around Venice as Frogman. He has another trike, or did that was modeled after a Ferrarri type design. Bad ass. I'm proud to have a couple of his bronzes in my collection.
how cool is that, I would have loved to be on that build project, ive built a lot of dangerous toys in my time but that one rules on the toy list. Nice job on the build , like the other guy said , it would be nice to see some more of the mechanics of it but I get the video. My neighbors would not be surprised to see something like that come out of the shop. Bitchin ride Tim !!!
I agree. What is the actual artist and song presented in this video? I mean the guitar solo piece. And I'd like to know the actual piece - not Darude's Sandstorm :D
hello tim still have the cbx trike posted on my garage wall ,this is even better, glad you made it in usa ,love the frogs ,tried to trace the old cbx trike ,hope its in a barn somewhere so i can restore it ,do you have any info on it please
The 200mph shot I would bet a ball that was filmed on a dynojet, no way has this dude himself taken it that speed down a road. Would seem he would be the chute himself if he attempted it. I would think 120 maybe tops?? It's all about looks!! Two thumbs up from me on this unique build! :)
5:12 "Dude! Go back! I think she fell off in the tunnel!! " Wicked looking machine! 5stars. Almost like something out of The Road Warrior, especially going through the desert.
Im expecting at any moment that some guy with a bitchin pompadour is going to pull up in a modified yellow Trans Am, and a loud pulsating UNTZ is going to start playing from the heavens.
ok the videos a little bit 90s but that's ok. this is absolutely amazing :D and it's all real, its not just a video project, it's a real trike, real think, it's a daily motorcycle, so yeah. for all the people wondering, this is all legit! :D
Dan Martin tell him that not me hahahaha. I would be a little scared for its mpg, but if he's wealthy enough for a project of this mass, gas shouldn't be a problem
an awesome trike but two questions. 1 - how did the camera car keep up at 200mph. and 2 - if he passed the girl at 200mph all her clothes should have got ripped off. Nice work!
Has Frogman shown his creations on Jay Leno's Garage? I also wonder of the traction balance front to rear. Great project machine, I've always liked big engines on bikes.
This is a seriously long Marlboro, man. Love the highway - haven't seen it in years. Q's: 1) Are you really going without an air filter? (Or am I stupid?) 2) Did you really street that thing without paper? 3) If you were to try to license, is it a 3 wheeler? (Legally in CA?) Wow - what a guy's thing!
Very nice trike! Is the front end from the V-10 Viper powered Tomahawk? Hit 200mph that took some serious balls! Awesome work though, keep the shiny side up and the rubber on the road!
I come back about every 2 months to watch this and get my fix , This bike is king of all. Its the holy grail of trikes. And tim is Awesome.!

This the baddest bike, the frogman is king, rides the coolest ride, everyone else is second.
I am an Artist and former Custom Car builder and this is the Baddest Piece of Art I have ever seen on three wheels besides the Builders other Vehicles.......
The coolest ride I have seen in a long time. Just not over functional, allows you to go from A to Z with keeping you to stop between.
hahaha => the part when he picked up that woman he used a parachute ;-D
never saw that one comming ;-) and then the subtle smile on his face, beautiful ;-D
nicely filmed and great piece of art he's riding ;-)
Brilliant creation, and fantastic shooting.
Not bad for a boy from Leicester in the UK whos pretty good at carving birds and dont forget those pretty cool frogs he makes. As we say here, "the boy done well". What a stunning trike.
One of the coolest vehicles I have ever seen.

Love the whistling sound of that big old huffer on that big block.
perfect design and perfect execution of the master steering
What a great video! Thanks so much - wishes from vienna (europe).
Saw this awesome bike on another post getting hated on by bunch of idiots who don't appreciate craftsmanship. Seeing this front on pulling out the garage at the start of the video put a big grin on my face. This is utterly crazy in the best possible way... love it. Nice video.

I love how he leans into the corners.... like that'll make a difference.
Hats off to the engineering tho, we need more of you good sir!
I'm sure if you asked Frogman, he'd tell you that yes - his leaning into the curves shift of his body weight really does impact a faster corner with this 4 wheeled trike layout! Getting his groove on. Nicely done "trike"!!

installing a front camera definetelly will help on a highway. piece of art
Beautiful work, and if that thing was really clocking 200+ mph...ballsy, real ballsy.
HOLY SH*T!!! That is sick! Just idling sound amazing and the acceleration sound is Off tha Chain!

This guy should produce his own adventure series!
Excellent production, amazing vehicle, but worthy of HD mode.
I can only imagine how fun he have on that amazing bike :)
Init
With that much chrome on his trike, no wonder he has to use sunglasses to ride that beauty!
that thing is badass, impractical, but freakin badass
dude its impractically badass!!!
One of the horsemen of the apocalypse lol. Awesome ride.
Kinda reminds me of something you would see in a Mad Max movie,,,Awesome Trike,,I want one!

Просто отлично. Отображение инженерной мысли и экстравагантности.Забыл высказаться про романтику она 100%-ная.

What wild ride, it's all motor......that''ll get the heart pumping. Only thing missing is the six pack holder.
Really good... Funny too, liked the smile when he picked up the chick on the side of the road. really nice piece of work. Pretty as some would say.
Batman needs one of those only in black, nice bike!
Good to watch a cool video with out head banging music nice trike.
I agree. What is the actual artist and song presented in this video? I mean the guitar solo piece. And I'd like to know the actual piece - not Darude's Sandstorm :D
very, very ,very , good , hi I'm from Brazil and I enjoyed very much your bike !!!!!
This is the most manliest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Frogman,You totally Rock :)
Love that helmet...he looks like a biker from the 20's had came to the present in a time machine
Crazt but beautiful. Blown V8 on a trike? Too insane. I love it.
OMG! That is one wicked ride! Looks like something out of a Terminator film! lol
Music is David Hayes Channel 9(And Interlude, By Kyle And Eric) Peace and Waves Album
The video editing is as artistic and well thought out as the strong preforming trike itself...well done
Now that's just a whole Different kind of crazy kool.
Love it!!!!!! 👍🇺🇲🤙✌✌

Wicked looking machine! 5stars.
Almost like something out of The Road Warrior, especially going through the desert.
gasp!!! awesome. engineering at its finest.
Brilliant from start to finish.
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a rush it must be to open the throttle of that bad boy!! Wooohooo!
As ridiculous as this thing is, I love the fact that he actually rides it instead of just having it in a garage and not using it.
OMG, the purple dress and legs up to there for the win.
Im expecting at any moment that some guy with a bitchin pompadour is going to pull up in a modified yellow Trans Am, and a loud pulsating UNTZ is going to start playing from the heavens.
Este trabajo es increible !!
Frogman lost the Hot Hitchhiker Chick in the Tunnel, LOL!

that looks like a smooth ride. that is a bad motor scooter, kick ass dude!
that thing is a work of art !
an awesome trike but two questions. 1 - how did the camera car keep up at 200mph. and 2 - if he passed the girl at 200mph all her clothes should have got ripped off. Nice work!
That so extreme its in the realm of a Warner Brothers cartoon. I'm expecting the Road Runner to pop out any sec.
finally someone rippin it.
La verdad es increible las maquinas que puede crear el ser humano . sin palabras . expectacular es todo.
Has Frogman shown his creations on Jay Leno's Garage? I also wonder of the traction balance front to rear. Great project machine, I've always liked big engines on bikes.
I was thinking this thing should be in a movie. Then I realized I'm watching it.
respect for the creator! damn good craftsmanship!
I really think Tim should should try his trike out at Bonneville. Id be really interested in what it could do!
i understand what you mean. that makes sense. it seems like it should have a longer rear wheel section to me but overall this things looks awesome.
Love this bike! My best pick hot rod/trike the need for speed and passion of all time on three wheels!
A V8 Hemi on a..."motorcycle"??...great idea!!!...And it looks really badass...awesome machine!!
The bar has just been raised for all things epic!
This is a seriously long Marlboro, man. Love the highway - haven't seen it in years.
Q's:
1) Are you really going without an air filter? (Or am I stupid?)
2) Did you really street that thing without paper?
3) If you were to try to license, is it a 3 wheeler? (Legally in CA?)
Wow - what a guy's thing!
Very nice video.... very crazy Frogman....
Wow..A stunning machine you've got there.
Very nice trike! Is the front end from the V-10 Viper powered Tomahawk? Hit 200mph that took some serious balls! Awesome work though, keep the shiny side up and the rubber on the road!
Trike III is out, wanted to see it, thought this was the link.
That trike is frickin' bitchin' beyond words! And you ride it like a man instead of parking it in a museum. Awesome broh, 100%
