I am really excited to offer these stencils for sale. We designed these to help both beginners and experienced leather workers to quickly layout and design. They allow you to layout a perfect flow line of scrolls. We designed these scrolls to be stretched out more like a traditional engraving scroll. We also have a Sheridan Scroll set which produces a more open scroll and circular Sheridan style. Both scroll styles can be used together or individually. You can plant a flower at the stem or turn it into a finial for just scroll designs. There are five different sizes of scrolls included in each style to make large layouts and awkward shapes easy to fill.

I bought Vegetable Tanned Leather-Full Grain 5-6oz. It is hard for me to carve in...Did I purchase the wrong leather for tooling? ( I am totally new to this and this is the 2nd time I bought leather and it hasn't worked out properly. Thanks in advance.

I would start with one set of scrolls and then go from there. I like to use them both together but think the scroll is easier to start than the Sheridan scroll.
