That's really great work by you. Thank you very much for it. I have a question; Can find/estimate a volume of tube drawn by our data? Please, answer and recommend some video/source.
Many times I have issue of after creating the mesh in Salome and then using OpenFOAM, I cannot see the pressure, velocity, etc. data in Paraview, just the greyed out block? Typically copying and pasting a new UNV mesh file in the old case file I have as a sort of "template" produces this issue. I change all the names in the setup files in the 0 folder as well as the boundary file but that still does not fix it. Nor converting to VTK format. Scanning forums there is some mention of boundaries being confused (indices in particular) as Paraview can get "confused" sometimes and not find the results? Even if the OpenFOAM simulation diverges there should be some results from the time steps that Paraview should be able to display?
Im working with Paraview and I was trying to import my own data to create a figure. Is there anything you can point me to that will give me insight on how to do so. I have a data set of Pressure, Density, Temperature, and Radius for a Star and would like to display this on a sphere or cone. I've searched and all I could find are examples of how to use the data already given. Thanks in advance!
Thanks a lot for this video series. I was wondering if you had something similiar for ANSYS fluent. I am trying to use it for CFD modelling and 4D flow analysis but is dificult to convert dicom data.
Hello, I have a problem with my Paraview. I accidentally removed the "pipeline browser" command from my command window. Now I can't click on its functions or put it back in the command tree. Could someone help me?
Trying to learn from your tutorial which is great but, when I open the ex. file 3Dpipe.vtu it asks for a reader that is not installed what to do??? TIA
Are you sure you installed the latest 3.8 paraview version for windows? It should be able to open VTU files natively... try to open paraview first and then open the file rather than clicking on the file to open paraview
@@Feaforall Pardon me for asking again. Is the Javascript library just for client side (front end) or is it also for back end? Do I need to learn Node JS? I have search about ParaView Web but I am not quite understand well about it.
JavaScript is for the front end. For the backend, you can use any language you want, like python or Even PhP (Node JS would work too, but that’s quite complex for backend if you just start).
@@Feaforall Pardon me, but I think it would be great if in the future you also cover about ParaView Web in your tutorials. Perhaps with Python. But thank you for the explanations.
I suppose it’s possible, check the format of your file and if it’s supported by paraview in the documentation. If it’s not, find a way to convert it to a supported format. Check google for “convert dwg to vtk” for example.
Thank u for good video! I'm struggling in creating the cylinder in ubuntu :( Although I create the cylinder and click apply button, It doesn't appear......TT
@@FeaforallThanks for replying. Well, I downloaded the "bracket.vtu" file from your Github repo, although I did 'save link as' then saved the file as vtu.
Thank you for comprehensive explanation. It was difficult to understand how use this tool before watching this video
i gave up on Paraview cause it's too hard. Hopefully I will get back to it after watching your video series. Thanks for making this.
Not that hard when you have a little practice. I hope my videos will help you!
Thanks so much for this series! It helps me a lot when I am dealing with my vtk files!
Many thanks for the videos! It's being nice and easy to learn ParaView with your videos! Cheers from Brazil!

Hi, pardon me, but right now I want to develop a web view for 3D object. Could I use ParaView for it? What I need to learn to develop it?
Search for “Paraview Web”. There is a way to run paraview in the background and communicate with the browser using JavaScript.

Maybe a bug due to Korean operating system language... my guess. You should report to the Salome Forum
thanks mate
How can I open .vtu file? when I open vtu, ParaView asks me for open data with!! what to chose?
Paraview should open vtu without problem. Maybe your file is not really a vtu format file? How did you generate that file?
