My sister also broke her femur and ended up receiving the same surgery with the pens. She was in a wheelchair/using a walker for about a month and returned to playing soccer a few months after that. And she still has the pins in today with no problems and never needs to get them removed. I highly recommend!

I sorta did the same thing I dislocated my hip and had 3 fractures in my leg and had 2 surgery’s and haven’t walked in 5-6 months

My little sister had the same break when she was 14 years old. They ended doing surgery to put a metal rod in it. She’s 27 now and has never had any issues. Praying for Ollie’s speedy recovery!

To be honest Missy I opted out of this exact situation before and I've paid for it my whole life. I opted for no surgery and I'm 37 and still having issues because it did not heal properly enough like they thought. To have mine fixed now it would take rebreaking it starting over. It's such a tough decision I know. But fix it while he's young

I had surgery but for a different reason. This will be a better option in my mind because ollie will recover quicker and you will do the things that you have done before. We all hope ollie will well soon

I agree with you about the surgery being done from the beginning! As a Mama, I'm highly upset and angry that they didn't do anything to at least prevent the break from bowing out! Ollie is little less than 5 months older than my son, we have been watching for years!

My sister broke her femur when she was about Ollie’s age, but it was a much bigger break than Ollie’s, she has a rod and a plate in her leg, it’s very stressful when they are at that age and it’s scary but you guys will make it through it ❤️ praying for a speedy recovery!!! Sending love and hugs!❤️

Guys, his leg needs surgery asap. He needs to get that bone back into place otherwise it will give him lots of trouble in the long run. Nothing else will help as much as surgery. He will have to go through with everything that comes with surgery so he can heal well and be as good as new! Remember, ‘ a stitch in time saves nine’ ! I’m praying for your boy. I’m sure you and Bryan will make the right decision but having a needle phobia myself I had to go through surgery’s as a teenager and there is an option for you to be out to sleep before any needles. This was a great help for me to reduce the anxiety and could help Ollie! Maybe talk to the hospitals to see if this is an option. Get well soon Ollie!

I mentioned in another video about my husband breaking his Femur years back and when he had surgery a rod was put in. He has no issues having a rod. He even as one in his lower leg from another injury. Continuing to keep Ollie in Prayer.
