This time I am going for a surprise trek once again. While browsing on Facebook I saw an advert of a Deck of cards with 52 different Maltese locations on each card and got me hooked, I wanted one. I reach out to them and in 2 day I had my packet of cards, very interesting treks and high quality. One each card you find a QR Code that you can scan and the Google Map trek will upload onto your mobile. This time I choose to go to Mellieha area and do a 6km loop with a 100m of elevation around Ghadira Nature reserve. I started at the Red tower, made my way to Ghadira Bay, then to Popeye Village and then to the nearby cliffs. Really beautiful trek.

Thanks Pierre or a good vlog featuring an interesting system for intelligent trekking. Amazing how much one can do with a simple pack of cards. Sorry could not follow this vlog earlier as I was away for sometime, but appreciate the sharing and I will try to have some more info for its use. Well done and thanks for all your dedication/concern about our country.👍👍

How easy is it to follow the track on your phone? I'm so hopeless with maps lol Gorgeous scenery.
By the way, you are showcasing the beauty of the Maltese Islands way better than the many official tourism channels and websites. Well done!

Thanks Mari, what a compliment. One has to be familiar with google maps, but I will be testing more in depth soon. Also have a look at their website, facebook and insta Trek Deck Malta.

    TREKKING BY CARDS ♦️🚶♠️.
Pierre that's a nice long trek with varying scenery 🌲 🌊 . Like circular walks with same 'start & finish' spot. Obviously, a lot of thought and planning went into designing those "Trek Deck - Malta" cards. Brilliant idea.
That derelict structure @10:35 is what used to be a "Sienja"💦 🐴.
Shame and sad that "Festaval Hotel" complex (designed by Richard England) never been re - developed🤔?
    Thanks Pierre 🚶🎥 👏
    Cheers 👍🇲🇹❤️🇪🇺

Thanks John, do you think those pedals at the end, were used to make it turn ?

Hi Pierre. I think that part you called "pedals" are actually the transfer water buckets . I vaguely remember "Sienjas" - they used to have a donkey to drive them ( 1 Donkey Power 🐴 😂) It you put "Maltese Sienja" in your search engine you'll find a bit of info especially under "Agriculture in Malta in the 19th Century". Those were the simple old days!.
      Cheers Pierre 👍🇲🇹❤️🇪🇺
