BF is also the jerk for deciding to not renew his lease and throwing it in her face. I suspect even if she did cancel her plans and went to the funeral, he still would've pulled his stunt with the "my mom needs me and I need to figure things out" excuse regardless

Look, I don't ever like to bring this up at all because it brings me back intensely miserable flashbacks, but let's just say I had a "friend" in 2022 who I had a falling out with because he accused me of faking being depressed, when in reality I had actual cognitive distortions and suicidal ideations that were putting me in an all time low. On top of that I tried to explain to him that I felt this way for a couple years, but he chose not to believe me. And it was only getting worse, because at the time my mom recently lost her job of 27 years, my sister and I both caught covid, and I got harassed online for a dumb little argument. He then went around telling my friends and his friends about my depressive state and spreading false rumors about how our falling out went down, saying that I "befriended" these same people who harassed me, and therefore tying all of my depression and misery to one singular factor, claiming that I'm "faking it" or "pulling a stunt". Saying I'm selfish and that I'm too weak to know how I feel. And I tried to be as honest as I could towards him, even with the insecurity I have about bad communication as a result of my autism, but he wasn't having any of it and continued to say I'm just "blabbering" and a lot of other bullshit. I work at my local zoo, and our gift shop sells mobility scooters for people who have trouble walking. Now I get that walking around a zoo is tiring, but that doesn't mean a person who can walk perfectly fine can or should rent a scooter when someone with actual trouble walking needs it more. So one day, a couple, probably in their late 30s, maybe 40s, entered the zoo and asked me where they could rent mobility scooters. Now, while this couple was older, I could see they could walk just fine. With no canes or walkers in sight, they also looked pretty healthy even though the gentleman was on the bigger side. I did question why they would need them when they looked perfectly healthy to walk through the zoo without trouble, but I directed them to the gift shop anyway and thought that maybe they had a disability I couldn't see and thought was the end of that. Throughout the morning, I kept on seeing them, driving the scooters, and looking like they're having fun with how much they were laughing, which was a bit off-putting to me. Come the afternoon as I was breaking one of my co-workers for lunch at the exit gate, I heard on the radio that security was escorting a couple from the zoo and in just a few minutes I saw the same couple from that morning being the ones escorted out of the zoo. I later asked one of security guards what happened with the couple, and he told me that the couple were kicked out of the zoo for driving the scooters all willy nilly because they turned out to be drunk, and they didn't have any disabilities that would require a mobility scooter, they just wanted the scooters for fun.

Story 3: The discord friend is definitely lying. The biggest red flag is how they say they need more money to fight a defamation lawsuit or they could end up getting arrested. That's simply a blatant lie, you cannot be arrested for defamation. It's a civil matter, not a criminal matter. And even if that person *isn't* lying and really needs help, OP doesn't have any more help to give. Simply put, OP, the first lesson you learn about saving people is to never put yourself in danger first. Always make sure it's safe for you to help them. If you can't help any further, just be honest and tell them you've given everything you can. It sucks, but it's true, and you should never go beyond your means, no matter how worthy the cause. What you should do, OP, is do some research and find some resources to point them to. Point them to pro-bono law resources in their area. Point them to aid in their area. And stop giving away your money. Pointing them to resources and experts is *way* more helpful than bankrupting yourself.

Last story: NTA. She booked the trip way before the dad died. She apologised and tried to solve the situation after spending her money on a good occasion, it's not like she was going to eat in a restaurant you have to book 5 months prio. The boyfriend is the jerk in my opinion. He started acting vindictively because her girlfriend didn't attend the funeral. I don't know how her relationship was with his dad and from how she's narrating the story she would have gone to the funeral if she didn't spend a lot of money. Now I don't know what you think but in my opinion a funeral is just a funeral. The person is already dead and it's too late to interact with him but you can still greet him and show respect and love at the graveyard.

I had to use a mobility scooter a couple of times at Walmart due to my knee. My knee cap isn't where it should be, instead it's higher up my knee. On my bad days I can barely stand or walk due to it locking up on me. I have almost fallen on my face due to it and my knee locks up at the worse times. What I have is called Patella alta and they said they can't do nothing for me

Story 3: The discord friend is definitely lying. The biggest red flag is how they say they need more money to fight a defamation lawsuit or they could end up getting arrested. That's simply a blatant lie, you cannot be arrested for defamation. It's a civil matter, not a criminal matter.
And even if that person *isn't* lying and really needs help, OP doesn't have any more help to give. Simply put, OP, the first lesson you learn about saving people is to never put yourself in danger first. Always make sure it's safe for you to help them. If you can't help any further, just be honest and tell them you've given everything you can. It sucks, but it's true, and you should never go beyond your means, no matter how worthy the cause.
What you should do, OP, is do some research and find some resources to point them to. Point them to pro-bono law resources in their area. Point them to aid in their area. And stop giving away your money. Pointing them to resources and experts is *way* more helpful than bankrupting yourself.

Last story: NTA. She booked the trip way before the dad died. She apologised and tried to solve the situation after spending her money on a good occasion, it's not like she was going to eat in a restaurant you have to book 5 months prio. The boyfriend is the jerk in my opinion. He started acting vindictively because her girlfriend didn't attend the funeral. I don't know how her relationship was with his dad and from how she's narrating the story she would have gone to the funeral if she didn't spend a lot of money. Now I don't know what you think but in my opinion a funeral is just a funeral. The person is already dead and it's too late to interact with him but you can still greet him and show respect and love at the graveyard.

For the last story: I think that the girl is in the wrong. I lost my Dad when I was 15yrs old and it was very sudden. It broke my heart and I was kinda traumatized by the whole thing. I'm only saying that to show my reasoning for why I think that this girl is the AH. Her partner lost his father and he is grieving and she is being very selfish. Talking about how work has been so stressful and she needs this trip and she doesn't want to waste her money. She is making it all about her. She seems like she has no empathy or compassion for her partner and then she wants to complain more about how her partner doesn't want to sign the lease and how he wants to go and support his mother while she is grieving. This guy should run as fast as he possibly can, because if she does this to him what else is she willing to do
Story 2 - I'm not seeing a problem here, besides OP quitting... You're being told to work Slower and Not to work harder. You are being PAID to do Nothing. And the problem is that you're bored?!? You can do whatever you want as long as you Look busy. And it seems that you occasionally get to blow things up! That sounds like a dream job, not a problem. I had to use a mobility scooter a couple of times at Walmart due to my knee. My knee cap isn't where it should be, instead it's higher up my knee. On my bad days I can barely stand or walk due to it locking up on me. I have almost fallen on my face due to it and my knee locks up at the worse times. What I have is called Patella alta and they said they can't do nothing for me

Honestly I never assume anything when I see people on the sewers why do I assume that they legit need it and that’s why the audit I don’t assume that they’re just goofing off at the younger because younger people could have a dream disabilities, causes them to need the scooter, and they might not be visible at first glance, or at all, but could still be severely serious for all, you anybody else knows that’s right if I see somebody on the Square no matter the age I just take a glance in continue on my way because obviously they need it for whatever reason that they need it for and trust me I sometimes with them too I have on hand cat progress how bad my disabilities are and I’m multi disabled. For the last story: I dont know how much a trip to Mexico costs, or how much rent is where OP lives, but if she is unable to renew the lease without the boyfriend contributing half of it, yet she still decides to go on a vacation in Mexico, she seems pretty irresponsible with money imo. Heck, she asks "what am I supposed to do about a place to live?", which seems to imply that her income is not enough to pay rent even for a cheaper place, or at least not enough to maintain her lifestyle.
I think both OP and the boyfriend aren't without fault in the story, but i suspect there's a lot the OP isnt telling us regarding finances.
