I'll never understand why someone would spend so much money on houses with 10+ bath- and bedrooms if you live with like 2-3 other ppl, and why you would spend over 200k on a car with those speed limits in the US. Doesn't make sense to me
America's huge. you can drive hundreds of miles without seeing a police or state trooper. and you're only breaking the law if you get caught. Also the cars etc are status symbols in places like Miami a $200k car is normal so to fit in with the elite wealthy that you want to make connections with you need to be on their level or better.
What's really hard to understand is people who make $50k a year buying a car worth 2-3 years salary. Alot crazier then rich people buying things they can easily afford.

I had someone the other day ask me for the time standing in front of an analog clock. When I pointed at the clock, the person replied, "I can only tell the time by my cellphone." I suppose this is possible since all cellphones are digital clocks. In his defense, it was a roman numeral analog clock. I still find this hard to believe, but he was serious.
