- Hi friends, Presenting you the method to make a simple Gujarati snack of Methi Muthiya. These Muthiyas can be eaten during tea time and they can also be added in various Gujarati sabzis like Undhiyu, Lilwa Sabzi. Do try it out at home 😊

Methi Muthiya Recipe -
Ingredients -
2 Cups Methi Bhaji (approx. 50 grams) (Washed and finely chopped)
2 tsps Green Chilly Paste
1 1/2 tsps Ginger Paste
1 1/2 tsps Garlic Paste
1 1/2 tsps Salt (or as per taste)
2 tsps Sesame Seeds (Til)
1/2 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)
1 1/2 tblsps Sugar
2 tblsps Curd (Dahi)
2 tblsps Oil
1 cup Wheat Flour
1/2 cup Coarsely ground Wheat Flour (If not available can use normal wheat flour instead of this)
1/2 cup Chickpea Flour (Besan)
1 tsp Oil
Oil for deep frying
Serve Hot or add them in Sabzi to enjoy :)

I tried this recipe it came out good but how to eliminate bitter taste of methi?
You can add a few coriander leaves and reduce the quantity of methi leaves to balance out the taste

We can saute the methi leaves in very li'l oil, let it cool & then add masalas, flours to it. This will also reduce bitterness.
Can muthiya b eaten with Kadi , can it be replaced by the pakoris in Punjabi Kadi
