Pare had to be restrained from killing Moranis. Rick was used to doing comedy and did not like that he was not able to ad lib. He kept making jokes about Pare. But later Pare said they are now friends.
I have watched this fantastic film at least 10 times, it never gets old. It's to bad that the planned sequels never got made. May Netflix or Amazon Prime will look into making a sequel or two.

7:34 Streets of Fire is a great movie. A cynical mercenary reluctantly agrees to rescue his former girlfriend (A famous pop singer) from a psychotic motorcycle gang.
Gang fight scene with Michael & Willem will always stand out ... those were real railroad spike hammers... bad ass charachters performing in a Most bad assed way
One of my favorite Walter Hill films. It was supposed to be part of a trilogy but that was cancelled after it bombed at the box office. Now it's a cult classic. Oh, and those weren't pick axes in Tom and Raven's duel. Those are railroad hammers used to drive steel spikes into cross ties. Blunt force trauma from hell.
Remember watching this when it was 1st released in the UK, but every time I've tried to find it on streaming services they never seem to have heard of it
Wait. So you're saying this is THE SAME "Diane Lane" from "The Outsiders," "Unfaithful," "Under The Tuscan Sun," and Superman's Mom in "Justice League" ??
I have always Loved this movie. They all were so young in this. But the one that I was really hot over was Amy Madigan (McCoy). She was my kind of Woman. She never really got the star parts that she should have gotten. The one that became the biggest star was the bad guy, Willem Dafoe. He's still a very busy actor. I always wished they had done a "Streets Of Fire 2."
The song "I can Dream About You" from this movie became quite a hit in the 80s. Other songs were notable and just as likeable. The main theme "Streets of Fire" seems to have a close affinity to the "Footloose" movie soundtrack called "Searching out for a Hero" sang by Bonnie Tyler. The soundtracks in this movie are just as good, imo.
That was a good older movie. Movies back then weren't CGI made so fight scenes and such were almost realistic in order to pull off the reality of it. By the way if you click the dislike button twice you basically undislike your dislike making it neutral but im sure you already knew that.
Combining a Chuck Norris joke, with "the Slap" was brilliant. It was worth the Like and Subscribe alone. You could add a Biden or Trump, to make the line a trifecta. Slow clap.

Fun movie, but not Hill's best; sort of 'The Warriors' meet 'the Last man Standing' at the 'Crossroads' without Bruce Willis or Steve Vai. But any Walter Hill movie scored by Ry Cooder is worth the watch - best in a theater.
Michael Pare, Rick Morannis, Willem Dafoe..!!
They all looked so young.😂

Another fine film with James Spader & Robert Downey Jr. is Tuff Turf. Great music.
The actors are very young.
@@rodandchanceA very young James Spader shooting cockroaches with a BB gun in the opening sequence I think ...

Great Film, Great Cast, Great Music and a Great Recap. Thanks.
I don't know if no ones recognized her, but the girl who work in the restaurant is also the girl who played on the movie the "Warriors".
Exactly

Fantastic film. One of my top ten.
Sci-fi rock n roll fable.
Any movie with Rick Moranis is destined to be a classic.
This was one of Walter Hill's best movies, he did 48 Hours, the Warriors, Southern Comfort and many more.
The bar band are Dave Alvin and the Blasters.
the best rockk n roll fable ever.. nobody has ever made a movie as cool as this
The Blasters!
Street’s of fire, great movie, everyone so young !
one of the greatest unsung movies of all time it is ageless
Great cast love this movie .
"You know, im somewhat of a Thug myself" - William Dafoe
When I was in the Corps back in the barracks we must have watched this at least 20 or 30 times.
A Great movie to say the least, the music is unreal.
Great film .
This one is a timeless classic! I remember seeing it back in the day when I was a young adollescent :) Good times!
How did I miss that one? The actors look so young, wow! You did another fine job with the recap! Thanks US Recap!!
Thank you kindly
Streets of Fire
It's hard to describe how incredible this movie is, when you can't hear the music.
Michael Pare at the end of this movie is when tom changed his name to eddie and started eddie and the cruisers lol
Gotta love The Blasters
7:34 Streets of Fire is a great movie. A cynical mercenary reluctantly agrees to rescue his former girlfriend (A famous pop singer) from a psychotic motorcycle gang.
Streets Of Fire! I really enjoyed this movie back in the 80s. I used to jam to the music soundtrack.
Thank you so much❤
You're welcome 😊
Typical woman, 'yes you rescued me and saved my life, but that's not good enough'. Great movie.
Amazing movie. Some of the best music.
I watched this when it came out 40 yrs ago, i also liked Eddie & the Cruisers.
great flick one of my favorites !
That was one movie I truly enjoyed, the music was fantastic

This is one of the most underrated movies of the entire 1980s. I still have some of the songs on my car's USB player.
I have the vinyl, CD, and downloaded on iTunes.
The soundtrack is a character of its own. :)

Thanks for watching!
What movie is this
Streets of fire 1984 !
I think I enjoy your summeries of movies better than the movies themselves.

Arther Hill. Music mostly by Rye Cooder, This is my definition of a guilty pleasure. Watch out for the live performance by Genya Raven
That's funny, "If you disliked the video, hit thumbs down TWICE, just to be sure" I love the comment.
I had a VHS of this movie for my 16th birthday gift along with some Stallone and Arnold and Chuck Norris and other action movies of 1985/86
That very young Eddie Wilson needed the Cruisers to help out.

Michael Pare in Eddie and the Cruisers was the best rock and roll movie
1:17 leaving her with a smashed window.
I have to watch the full movie. I was expecting more people from the Warriors to show up lol
What is the name of this movie
'Streets Of Fire'
That band at Torchie's was very good. Also, that skinny girl with the short hair dancing on the bar was hot!
and dont foget, it was so awsome, it had a powerpuff girl (og) as supporting cast (e. g. daily elizabeth daily) !
A little different than " Some Kind of Wonderful" a gentler remake of this film and they forgot the diamond earrings!
Wait, I recognize these actors
They're all so young....

What's this gal's name
Chuck Norris??
Directed by the great Walter Hill.
Completely unaware
Probably the first recent film I ever saw on cable. One of the very worst I ever saw as well, to this day! What a stinker!
He shoulda kept the 9 grand.
two actors from the warriors.
Diane Lane was incredibly beautiful back then. For more of her in that time, watch Lady Beware, an erotic crime thriller.
He saves the hot chick to end up with the one that looks like Nick Nolte…..the 80’s
Movie dated 1984. It’s actually worse than you might think.
This looks horrible lol. I like it.

bowties.... is this narrated by AI ?!?!
Terrible move, amazing sound track my Jim Steinman.
i can't take anything rick moranis is in seriously , looks like a bunch of b actors in a d- movie....
Boooooooring

Too much talking.
Awesome movie, my ex business partner had a 51 Mec convertible built just like that! LOL!
