Hi Chia! Im so touched by this. My dad is also a diplomat, and I've gone through the same thing as you :) Last year was our time to leave Australia and go back to Indonesia, I had to stay behind for another year because I had to finish my studies, and it was the first time I was left with my brother alone (who also stayed behind for the same reason). When it was the time to leave, my dad hugged me and said "you should know that im very proud of you," and that is something that I have never heard him say in my whole life, and I bawled so hard haha. And days after that felt so different despite living in Australia for 4 years because of the lack of my parents' presence. I also had to ngekos (lol) but it didnt feel like home, even though the owner is also Indonesian. But I'm back now and life has been treating me well :D But anyway, I can totally understand and relate to the quote "we've done this before, but it never gets easier." because i think it really reflects on what being in a diplomat family is. I hope you are okay now! You'll probably cry for 3 nights straight (bcs thats what i did), but it will get better overtime! Keep making great videos! x
airport is always being my favorite place. cause there you can see a hello and a good bye.. it makes you to be more respect to the time that you have with someone who you love..
Berbahasa Indonesia lebih gokil 😉. Cintai bahasa bangsamu Sendiri kyk org Perancis dan Jepang cinta sama budaya dan bahasa mereka sendiri . kl bukan kita siapa lagi😊
I'm from Jeddah but I don't live there currently because I'm studying abroad. I've been abroad for more than 4 years now and I know how being separated from your family feels like :( But hey you can at least video call them and see their beautiful faces everyday. Just make sure all of you download video call applications like Duo or SOMA because FaceTime doesn't work in Saudi Arabia currently I wish your parents a pleasant trip. They are going to be fine in Jeddah inshallah ^_^ Mecca is very close too so they can visit it literally every weekend if they want.
"We are home ! But mom and dad is not here". That's a deepest words i heard in this video. My tears down as fu*k even i am a Man bcz i know how it feels like , i mean it ! Separate by distance with your parents , i used to in that condition. When you open the door , in your deepest hearth you want to hear "Aa my baby home" or "Whats up kid" but , ya you know ... So don't wasting your time with gadget or something likr that. Trust me one day if you didn't spend a time with your parents , you gonna regret it :) Bless You all 0:);)
nasibbb anak diplomattt hidup pasti terjamin tp yagituu kdng2 sk ditinggal ke negara lain utk sekian waktu~ tp salut ortu sm anaknya tetep deket bknnya jd renggang en anak2nya jd bgajulan krn sering ditinggal gitu... btw ini skuarga keliatan pinter smuaa pd jago bhs inggris!!! KEWLLL
I know how that feels! Feeling left behind is worse worse worse than the feeling when we're leaving. Best wishes for your mom & dad. Eventho you're all grown ups, still must be hard for them.
this vid was on my recommendation and i felt like, "oh i know this youtuber, i watched the other vid back then" so i gave it a go and watched this, all i can say is, i hope you, your parents, and your siblings will going to be alright. i hope each and everyone of you can take care of each other well. never let siblings starve. lol.
I cried watching this video. You are great kids. Your parents are proud of you and you are so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Great parents produce great kids.
gimme reasons why I love this video? I was like, watching this video for hundred (boo I lied) times, and never get bored to watch it again and again. thank you for making me loves my parents more and more, and more. lots of love!
Thia.. I think your dad's face is so familiar. I think I 've seen your dad before at Kemlu here in Jakarta. I know how that feel when to see your loved ones gone far away. why didn't 3 of you go with your parents to jeddah? well.. selamat bertugas yah om. I wish my dad masih bisa penempatan sekali lagi sblm pensiun dia and well, actually my dad sudah ada namanya untuk penempatan sekali lg yg mana jd duta besar terakhir x but my mom and I really care about my dad's health. jdnya cancel deh.. :( :'(. kangen dengan moment perkenalan dengan org2 br di kbri mana pun dan moment perpisahan. :(
I can totally relate to this video and all the other videos you talked about as a diplomat's daughter as I am one myself! I cried too when I dropped my parents and my youngest brother off at the airport with my aunt and uncle for their posting in Romania last 2 years ago~ So great to find a TCK who does UA-cam! Subscribing and sending you lots of love
take care for your parents fathia ! this video remind me when my parents and brothers left me behind in Indonesia because they were posted to Qatar for 3.5 years . You all gonna miss your parents every day until you meet them again
"we've done this before but it doesn't get easier" that's spot on. i've been studying abroad since I was 15 and the airport shindig never gets easier. it's always painful and messy. thank you for this video :)
I know it's hard being away from something your use to having all the time but just be thankful he will come back and you can always call him to hear his voice. This year I lost my dad and I would do anything to hear his voice or to have one more day with him....
aww fathia be strong all of u been so hard isn't you guys keep fighting with or without parents, all you guys need to do is brave and make things right for your own parents and u guys i think almost did it, since thought you guys were pretty smart and tough felt the tears huft :')
I can't imagine being away too far from my parents. Sometimes i would just cry thinking of them even when they're right here. I hope you could feel okay and get used to not seeing them for awhile. I love listening to you speaking in english. U inspire me to have that awesome accent and pronunciation of yours
Literally cried at the end with you guys. Being away from family whether in different parts of the same country or abroad ( I experienced both) really aren't easy. But, I gotta say having your parents in a different country than you makes it more difficult. It's great you have your sibs with you. makes a difference. ☺
11 12 lah feelnya sm kita kak Chia. kk parents leaving them. and me atau lebi tepatnya KITA yg ninggalin keluarga. demi sebuah cita2.☺☺☺ yees anak RANTAU
I'm crying a river right now. I miss my family so much cos I'm studying abroad. I know that feeling, it will never get easier to be apart from your family. *criiiii harder*
some of them called this word was bullshit tapi yang lo rasain lebih buruk dari broken home (in my op) cus im live in it,mereka hidup bareng lo tapi mereka udah ga sama sama lagi ( even tho broken home bukan cuma divorce) mereka masih bersama, tapi mereka jauh dari lo itu yang berat menurut gue
You know what's worse? When you've been living away far away from them and it's just a dreadful feeling when you go home bcs the situation is much worse than you thought it could be
yeah in your opinion. but really, ditinggalin sama sesuatu yg sbnrnya kita msh berharap mrk tetap bersama, itu lbih sakit :) said broken home's child ^^ (well,me) tp keadaan dan rasa sakit ny relatif lah ya, g bs d banding2in. Sama2 gak bisa maksain kehendak buat tetep tinggal and stayed for a long time brsma mrk yg d cintai..
+Hanny Bilqy yap, emang sakit but at least lo masih bisa ketemu mereka dan mereka masih bisa ketemu lo.sedangkan cia ? mesti nunggu ada libur dulu (dr cia maupun ortunya) atau nunggu dinas nya selesai :(
totally get how you guys felt, been moving around the world ever since I was four and a half. We've done this before as well, but it never gets easier. It's much easier to move around when your whole family are there with you. However, this year, I said goodbye to my parents and baby sister because I'm currently studying in Texas. Even though my brother is here, we don't go to the same university. Don't take it for granted that your siblings are still there either. hope they had a safe flight! :)
Found this in my recommendation video and I think I saw you from somewhere but I forgot or I have mistakenly saw you but it was someone else. I know how you feel as a diplomatic kid because I am as well. Difference for me is that I travel with my parents during their duties at different embassies (europe-asia) back when it was their prime (ended in 2014) and my 1st brother continues my dad's legacy as a diplomat at this moment. Travelling back and forth and I've only living in Indonesia for 7 years. The thing is, as a diplomatic kid u get used to being left when they're doing their diplomatic mission.. My worse part is, when I was doing my uni in China, I didn't have the time to fly out to their posted country for 4 years and we missing those Ramadhan moments. Just cherish the moment for your black passport to freely not wait in line at the airports, customs, with diplomatic immunity. 5 iPhones and 4 android devices with no issues getting through. My black passport is going to expire next year lol. Cheers.
Embrace it, Chia. You three are incredibly lucky to have a relationship with your parents where you miss each other. I'm sure they are extremely proud of who their children have become (which is what your mom literally said to your brother, haha). We're here for you!
I feel u Fathia. My dad also works outside the country. He's only given 2 mos. vacation every year and be with us. Everytime he leaves, he does not look back because he'll cry.
your dad is humble, friendly & amazing one, still remember his wise words to me when I asked him permission to leave after a wonderfull month internship at ASPASAF division Foreign Ministry few months ago
aw i totally get the feeling cuz my mom and dad just left a week ago! even though ive been living outside town for my studies but knowing the fact that theyre not near me still made me sad hehe anyway i hope you and your siblings are no longer sad! all the best! 😊
oh my god, i've done this before. my parents also leaving because they were posted to another country and it feels like asdfghjkl can't describe how i felt. and i feel you girl, the risk of being a diplomat's children;")
I feel you, my dad works in the US and I had to say goodbye to him last March, weeks before the national exam. it's been 7 months since he left and I haven't seen him in person ever since. so yeah I feel you :))
i know exactly how it felt. my aunt is a diplomat too. she brought my sister to help her (work with her) there. when i see you crying in your dad's hug, that feeling was felt again. but it's your parents, it must be really hard for you :'(
IKR !!! This video was kinda throwback to the moment I leave my parents for college overseas. I was not crying even though all my friends did, but when my mom started to say her magic word (lol), my wall were tumbling down at once. Boom !
I know how you guys feel! In my case, it took me three whole years to get used to my dad leaving for Abu Dhabi. But it gets really exciting when he goes back home!
hey Fathia, I've been following your videos for the past months! pretty cool vids what you are sharing to us. and yeah, I'm a son of a diplomat as well, my father got previously posted to jeddah as well, it's a very unique country compared to most countries in the world.
this video suddenly makes me missed my parents:( im actually not that kind of homesick kid that always longing to go home altho i live as anak kosan now, but sometimes when my parents called me and said some simple things like "jangan lupa makan nak" i dont intended to cry but tears started to fall:")
I feel you...😢 I stayed doing this for 10 years every year 2 or 3 times when my dad travels and stayed for loong time away💔 but now we live with him ALL the family together😊💖 lots of love and support😘💖
It can't be called home, if there is no mom and dad in there

but it's your parents, it must be really hard for you :'(
I feel you...😢
I stayed doing this for 10 years
every year 2 or 3 times when my dad travels and stayed for loong time away💔
but now we live with him ALL the family together😊💖
lots of love and support😘💖
the part of your sisters cry in your papa's hug is tearing me apart :(
that's so sad, bcs I exactly know how it feels to live separately with parents :( cheer up kak!!
Ahh this is so sad, i miss my dad :"(
Keep being strong, dear !! 💚💚
