The broad daylight kidnapping in yellow raincoats is my favorite part of this particular video. Many years of sporadic cross harp playing and I still can't get that Junior Wells sound out of one. Still studying some of these Tuvan throat singers and harmonic overtone singers to figure it all out. According to Junior himself it's a high G but I can't figure it out. The overtone stomp video with J Conway is amazing, he warms up with a juice harp before he does the bends that I've never heard, at least on an album.
Saw The Prime Movers with Terry Night and the Pack at the Ann Arbor Armory. Have no idea when it was. Fantastic. Loved seeing that van (Dodge?) around town.
Iggy always pitched in. Not sure when that video was taken. Could be only the Erlewine brothers were around or this was after Iggy left the band. Note that Jack Dawson and Robert Sheff are also not there. Who knows. It is the only video we have. Thanks, Michael Erlewine
So Iggy was in this band after The Iguanas? You also included Garage Rock or in other words Protopunk. Blues interestingly enough only a few steps away. All a big part of Alternative.
13 years late to this video but I heard Ron Asheton played bass for a while. Was just wondering how bad did he really sound for him to be demoted to a roadie hahah lol
Prime Movers Blues Band album coming out in the next couple of months.
Incredible. Am glad to see you still doing what you do.
Wow! You're the Michael Erlewine behind Allmusic?! And you used to play blues music with Iggy Pop?! It doesn't get any more awesome than this!
Iggy toured with some great blues bands!

It is not 1968. It is hard to tell, but it is either 1966 or sometime in 1967. Thanks.
