I agree that Padmini did not receive the honors and recognition she deserved. She was not just a beautiful dancer who acted. She was an extremely talented actress who happened to be extraordinarily beautiful and a very talented dancer.
I had the opportunity as a child to see her dance performance in Chin Woo Hall in Kuala Lumpur in the early sixties.She and her sisters then stayed with their close relative in Alor Star here an engineer for a few days neighbor to my Chittappa's house They had the opportunity to see , talk and take photos.Thillana Mohanambal was the peak in her movie career. Somewhat I think she had a premonition of death and preferred to die in TN .She made an effort to attend the star nite to meet fellow stars and CM MK.No one would have ever thought she will be no more in a few hours.Here in Malaysia we cried as we heard the news The local TV screened Thillana Mohanambal as a mark of respect.No other actress can match her looks and dances and her acting.These kind of gems are priceless
