Some tips for you When you throw the axe dont always use R2 , throwing the axe with R1 instead is a lot faster and stops nightmares rushing , enemies leveling up , and detonates the red explosing draugr immediately Holding R2 give u s the moment the axe hits When facing poison or ice soldiers if they affect you with their element (ice or poison) they will all charge u non stop so just block until lthe effect wears off (or spartan rage to take it off) R3 dont need to be close range if you are close enough arround 5 metre it will work and give u s from that distance Hold square to use atreus runic summon when there are multiple enemies (with electric it helps to stun them easly) Attacks in the back always deal a lot more stun By now you should have already unlocked light runic attack of the frost ancient (the strongest runic attack in the whole game) , if you missed it then it became buyable from the shop , this runic can one shot the ancients when they open their hearts to attack , and bring any ogre to R3 so you grab him and clean the arena with him A bit more advanced tip look at where the draugr is glowing and you will know what they can do (if their arms glow means they can attack from distance , if their legs glow means they can dash away and into u , if their chest glow they can explode) Mark of the dwarves is simply a permanent +1 runic upgrade (which makes ur runic attacks stronger)
23:59 when you stun grab an enemy their element gets applied to surroundings. The draugr has fire so the other enemies started burning. 48:26 Also you can throw your axe at the traveller’s orb attack to interrupt it. Took me a while to figure that out. 😂😂
Dude, make sure to loot the chests, they have enchantments, skills and resources to upgrade your gear, use XP to upgrade Atreus and Kratos´s skills with shield and so on, so doing some travel to side quests is quite rewarding for gear, habilities, skills, resources and XP. Have fun bro, there´s more hell to come hahaha. When you fight the armoured big sword guys, make sure to roll side ways when they swing the sword upside down, when they swing sideways use your shield to block the attack, roll or side step, then they thrust their sword just side step to either side and when they use their special attac with the shinny thing above throw you ax it will explode and do some damage to them. Keep it up man!

There are always like scenarios in fights that the games keeps hinting u at 😭 like at 39:57 you’re supposed to use on of the ogres to smash everyone else that’s why stagger built up faster in that area. Also with the poison and when you were fighting the knight u supposed to throw an axe at the skull he holds up to stagger him. You seem to realize after the fact tho so fun to watch regardless
Really enjoying the series. I replayed it after your second episode and am a fair bit into Ragnarok now. I did play on the second hardest difficulty though, so props to you. Your combat skill has definitely improved and it’s nice seeing you clutch things out. Looking forward to seeing how you do on this boss fight.

I’m telling you, you’ve gotta Immediately equip the light axe runic attack Wrath of the Frost Ancient. Upgrade that thing, it is a mega death laser. Also against the Ancients, light axe throws with R1 are better because they are faster throws (meaning more hits, meaning faster stuns/R3) Fully upgraded lightning on Atreus’ bow is powerful, and I’m glad you’ve been using it. Another tip: activate a mystic gateway then back out to get full health. Mark of the Dwarves increases Runic Damage (Frost) on your axe. You can see exactly how much it increases your runic by checking your inventory special items. (It’s actually not by very much) 50:55 hit that skull with your axe to stun the Traveler. Block if you miss the throw. Seriously though, equip that Wrath of the Frost Ancient and pour as much XP as you can into the upgrade. It is incredible.

You got wrath of frost ancient light runic. Thats the meta op runic. For single large enemies its most effective, take it to level 3, and you can kill stone ancient enemies and those trolls very easily. For frost ancient let them open chest then shoot that laser from runic and watch.

Mark of the Dwarves gives you more Runic stat each time but it's barely noticeable on GMGOW difficulty since everything is so resistant and instead of taking 5 years to die it's 4.7. But hey, faster freeze buildup on enemies never hurt nobody.
if you haven't figured this out already, attacks with a yellow ring are parryable whereas those with a red ring need to be dodged. Parrying is vital in higher difficulties on this game and it's generally more forgiving than in other games so you gotta get on that
You chose this path for yourself so dont blame anybody but yourself :-D i would highly recommend exploring. You will find a lot of health, rage, armor and weapon upgrades.

If memory is correct. You can charge your axe and hit people. It adds more damage. You can also charge your axe and freeze people. Freezing people will make sense later on when you pick up another item.
yeah here are some tips i guess -while doing some attacks you cannot dodge for axample when you sprint and attack you gotta go through the entire attack before you can dodge again or an attack where you have to dodge and then quickly press r1, that attack caused me alot of trouble because i couldnt dodge but you i think you can dissable abbilities unless its only in ragnarok which is gonna suck -while throwing the axe you can also do light throws which are better for taking out the mobs with little hp, i didnt really use the heavy throws in my playthrough but if youre gonna be using the heavy throw i would suggest you only using it on the draugrs or something like that -alot runic attacks have a follow up for example if you hold a button or mash it ,i think its only if you upgrade a runic attack tho, its just gonna say it in the description it works both on light and heavy runic attacks -the big chunky guy 46:23 (traveller) you can throw your axe at the skull attack to stun him for a while,im not sure if its gonna be this important because idk if theres gonna be that many travellers across the playthrough but yeah its great to know that lol i have no idea what else to say so you play like god gg

Btw when you holding down L2 and R1 you can throw the axe faster and when you holding down R1 for a little time, you can target enemies to the same except holding down R1 holding down R2 for a little time they’re gonna do more damage to a enemy and when the knight charge up his attack, you can stop it with throwing the axe and and you can Perry any fireball like attack, and it gonna hit it back to a enemy you can also upgrade your runic attacks you need to press the little tiny button to the right of the big button in the middle of the controller, go down to the icon under of the picture of the axe then you need to press one of the white/light blue icons and now you can upgrade your runic attack and change what runic attack you want you can do the same to boy get out of the menu you are in and press R2 if you have more runic attacks to boy you can still upgrade boy's runic attack“s” If you have one or more, you can just not change runic and the mark of the dwarfs increases the stats of the axe. I am a person that want to help out other players/gamers to make them better at a single player video games.
Here's a small tip, it might matter it might not. If you use one of the mystic gateways, they full heal you, health and rage. You don't even have to enter, just summon the door. You can walk away from it after.
Mark of the dwarves permanently increases the Leviathan Axe's stats. Unless you're actively paying attention to the stats every time you visit them for that, you won't really notice it throughout the game
Stop the poison with the axe…. Whenever you see those… use bare hands and upgrade all your skills … which you’ll be able to unlock everything before the game is over.
Another tip, after you have used light attack combo for a number of times without taking damage you will see the axe turns blue and will deal more damage, use this opportunity to combo the enemies, I noticed you wasted it a few times, probably u are not aware about it

There is this item you can get in alfiem or whatever it’s called, and it is pretty busted as it can slow down time when you perfect dodge which can allow a good few hits in. It’s called the amulet of kavsiar or something like that and it’s in a cave I’m pretty sure

1. Watch out for purple indicators, it means projectiles. PARRY DAT! .. Or sidestep.. 2. Airborne enemies are top priority. Aim and press square. Boy auto aims.. kinda, then throw axe 3. Parry EVERTHING!!! .. That isn't red.. Watch indiacators 4. Don't be afraid to test out what you can sidestep. Side steps might have I-Frames 5. Elemental damage! Switch between your weapons and Boy.. 6. Upgrade Boy. Boy has small skill tree. Boy more useful (Russian accent) 7. Bruh..Roll while you're in fire 😑 8. Always try out new combos. Mix it up with bare hands, "shield?", Leviathan, Blades of Chaos, Rage and Boy 9. R2, R2 should be a "launcher", that'll help you open up on regular Druagers to juggle, should break shielded ones. 10. Health stones can be used mid combo, should stagger most regular sized enemies.. Maybe Rage stones too 🤔 From a new sub 🎉
Dude when fighting Travellers, dodge sideways on the overhead swing and backwards on the sideways swings. Tap the dodge button once instead of twice, it'll make combat easier. Use R1 for axe throws most of the times, R2 is too slow. Also there's alot different attacks in the skill tree, most being super useful. These should help ya dude
Bro why are you not changing your runic attacks, you are not even checking them out, they are really cool in combat, they are the L1+R1 and R2 attacks, there are more than just 2 runic attacks for Kratos

If you have another job or something else to do then it's understandable though. Also bro don't skip any cut scenes or dialogues even if you think they are meaningless. when those big knights hold up the blue orb thingie in the air, you wanna throw ur axe at the ball. Stuns them good.

Btw when you holding down L2 and R1 you can throw the axe faster and when you holding down R1 for a little time, you can target enemies to the same except holding down R1 holding down R2 for a little time they’re gonna do more damage to a enemy and when the knight charge up his attack, you can stop it with throwing the axe and and you can Perry any fireball like attack, and it gonna hit it back to a enemy you can also upgrade your runic attacks you need to press the little tiny button to the right of the big button in the middle of the controller, go down to the icon under of the picture of the axe then you need to press one of the white/light blue icons and now you can upgrade your runic attack and change what runic attack you want you can do the same to boy get out of the menu you are in and press R2 if you have more runic attacks to boy you can still upgrade boy's runic attack“s” If you have one or more, you can just not change runic and the mark of the dwarfs increases the stats of the axe. I am a person that want to help out other players/gamers to make them better at a single player video games.

For travelers or the guy with big sword who dosent get staggered, if you see the skull attack throw your axe at the skull it will cancel the attack
using bare hand will build up enemy's stagger bar faster and holding square will use the summon of atreus
Here's a small tip, it might matter it might not. If you use one of the mystic gateways, they full heal you, health and rage. You don't even have to enter, just summon the door. You can walk away from it after.

Mark of the dwarves permanently increases the Leviathan Axe's stats. Unless you're actively paying attention to the stats every time you visit them for that, you won't really notice it throughout the game

Another tip, after you have used light attack combo for a number of times without taking damage you will see the axe turns blue and will deal more damage, use this opportunity to combo the enemies, I noticed you wasted it a few times, probably u are not aware about it
Do an R3 finisher on one of the werewolf enemies when their health is low, you won't regret it

There is this item you can get in alfiem or whatever it’s called, and it is pretty busted as it can slow down time when you perfect dodge which can allow a good few hits in. It’s called the amulet of kavsiar or something like that and it’s in a cave I’m pretty sure

U are absolutely correct it is now time I take all the gamer knowledge and apply it
1. Watch out for purple indicators, it means projectiles. PARRY DAT! .. Or sidestep..
2. Airborne enemies are top priority. Aim and press square. Boy auto aims.. kinda, then throw axe
3. Parry EVERTHING!!! .. That isn't red.. Watch indiacators
4. Don't be afraid to test out what you can sidestep. Side steps might have I-Frames
5. Elemental damage! Switch between your weapons and Boy..
6. Upgrade Boy. Boy has small skill tree. Boy more useful (Russian accent)
7. Bruh..Roll while you're in fire 😑
8. Always try out new combos. Mix it up with bare hands, "shield?", Leviathan, Blades of Chaos, Rage and Boy
9. R2, R2 should be a "launcher", that'll help you open up on regular Druagers to juggle, should break shielded ones.
10. Health stones can be used mid combo, should stagger most regular sized enemies.. Maybe Rage stones too 🤔

Dude when fighting Travellers, dodge sideways on the overhead swing and backwards on the sideways swings. Tap the dodge button once instead of twice, it'll make combat easier. Use R1 for axe throws most of the times, R2 is too slow. Also there's alot different attacks in the skill tree, most being super useful. These should help ya dude
