AKIRA TORIYAMA TRIBUTE | ONE LAST WISH | SON BROKU | PROD. 52BLU & POLAR BEATS

- There is no one person that means more to my childhood as Akira Toriyama. Okay, maybe my parents. He changed my life forever with Dragon Ball and all of his influence in anime and culture. I will forever be grateful to what he did for me and so many others. When I learned he had passed, I couldn’t sleep so I wrote and recorded this at 3 in the morning. It’s sung in the vocal styles of Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Gohan. With myself mixed in there from my perspective as a kid growing up watching DB. I want to again thank everyone for their support with this song and I hope you all enjoy it.

Lyrics
I remember waking up every saturday
Used to play with my friends watching anime.
But none of that was possible without you.
Going super saiyan 2 every afternoon like
I wanna get stronger 'cause my pride won't let me go.'
I always wanna fight 'cause there's a saiyan in my soul.'
Is this, it's got to be.
I wish I could change the future for you and me.
I wish I had the dragon balls.
I'd use all 7 to wish you back.
Wish you back.
I wish I could turn back the time.
I wish the power was inside.
I wish I had the words to say.
I'd wish you back every day.
'Cause I don't know what I'm going to do without you.'
Shenron rise up. I need just one last wish.
Bring back the legends don't let them become myths.
I wish I had the dragon balls.
I'd use all 7 to wish you back.
Wish you back.
I wish I could turn back the time.
I wish the power was inside.
I wish I had the words to say.
I'd wish you back every day.
(With my one last wish)
(With my one last wish)
I wish I had the dragon balls.
I'd use all 7 to wish you back.
Wish you back.
And I'll never let you go again.
that I promise you till the end
That's my one last wish.
That's my one last wish.
There you are. I was hoping to see the lyrics soon.

@Sonbrokuai could you please post the lyrics to all the songs you created for DBZ! Your music is amazing ❤
@@glencipher7793 gotcha homie
Thanks for the lyrics, and fly high Toriyama sir.🕊️
The curse of youth is watching your heroes die, the curse of old age is not know if your students are ready to stand on there own without you.
🙏🙏
🙇♂️
@@SonbrokuaiThank You mr Toriyama for Creating me and Bringing me Back. I swear to you, I won’t let this go to waste and And I will do everything in my power to Make All Of them Happy and better. A Majin Funtime Legend keeps his word.
@@SonbrokuaiCheers🍶 to 🐉Akira Toriyama🐉may your next journey be as wonderful as the life you lived on this green earth as you inspired people all around the the world I bow 🙇♂️ to you good sir & thank you for the Dragon Ball series & an epic childhood
Thank you Toriyama🙏
Rest in peace Legend, WE WONT LET YOU BECOME A MYTH
Fun fact, Piccolo’s last pose that sensei Toriyama drew was mirroring himself with his arm folded the same as sensei, paneling to the audience, his final farewell to everyone 🙏
I saw that!!
Shenron: "The legend you wished for does not want to come back, instead he wants you all to Rise and live without giving up."
🙏🙏😭
Rest in power
Pretty sure Toriyama would rather not come back
@vegetabrief2496 well i believe that too. Tbh I do believe there is a safe place for those who deserve to rest in peace like heaven n if it were me living my life to its fullest id know its my time to go.
@@Sonbrokuai Everyone Let’s Make His Dream A reality.
Men of culture we gather here today, to bid farewell to a friend, and a role model.
A guiding light in our young lives. Toriyama showed us the importance of our strength as men, as defenders, and strength in mercy. he never made Goku a simp, never made Gohan a violent meathead, never made Vegeta too proud to recognize the strength in OTHERS. Never made Krillin cruel like the monks from his childhood. Akira, the original sigma. wise beyond his years. A stallion among mules. A man among beasts. A man of culture among the classless. His principles, portrayed through his art, should be a testament to his true strength. I hope to see him there. I hope to see all of you there. 💙
You're praising the GOAT properly! may we all meet him at King Kai's world training with Goku
Yes 🙌🙌🙌
What about the women who watched this? I loved it to the core.
@@RunTheDistance3 love that!!
Perhaps one day when we all meet again with King Kai we’ll receive his training and more wisdom to come in otherworld. For we must Sleep well, Eat well, Rest well and move well. For that is the Turtle Hermit way.
"Don't let the legends become myths". That's a great line.
Thank you!
I had just started watching the series again the day before toriyama died. Goku was going super Saiyan for the first time when I got the news. Tears started to fall on my phone as I continued to watch Goku fight Frieza. From a kid born in 1993 thank you toriyama for the best thing to ever be a part of my childhood. King Kai is on his planet waiting for you ❤.
Thank you so much for listening! We owe so much to him!
Bro I’d have a mental break down if that were me I was watching the most iconic scene then seconds later hear my hero has passed I’d break
Love you all glad your all here !
Thank you i nedde that
I’m glad Akira Toriyama made Dragonball Z,it’s one of my favorite anime and Broly was also the reason as well
Seriously so special to all of us!
Broly is pure nightmare fuel
I'm glad he decided to make Broly a canon character (regardless to his somewhat different backstory).
@@vesuvius1318 I love the new backstory too!
Man, this song brings back memories of watching it on toonami
Every afternoon!!!
Akira Toriyama is the reason i started watching anime, but without him i feel like I lost a part of myself.
Fly high Toriyama sensei
Thank you for this song Son Broku
Thanks for watching/listening!
Same here I wouldn't have discovered any of this without him. He was the first Super saiyan, while we may have lost a legend, we haven't lost his legacy. May he rest in peace and train with king kai❤😢😢😢😢
@@ycats31884 amen brother
OMFG... I am 34 years old and I have grown up with this Anime. I didn't expect a song to make me cry, but at 01:00 minute a tear jumped from my eyes. Congratulations on this incredible song and music video
I’m so glad it connected to you like that!!
I'm the same age and I had the same reaction at the same time...
I'm 33 and it's the same bro. Dragon ball is a core memory for me
I'm 32 and it's the same
😢
WE HONORING A GOAT WITH THIS ONE 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Yes!!
Not A Goat, THE GOAT
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Trunks singing “I wish I could turn back the time” hits me right in the feels…R.I.P. Akira Toriyama sensei…
Thank you for noticing!!
@@Sonbrokuai you’re welcome! I tend to notice these kinds of things cuz I went to a musics class in middle school
I didn't grow up watching Dragon Ball, but my boyfriend was so passionate about it that I started engaging with it so I could learn more about why it makes him happy. I don't always understand what's going on, some of the characters don't make sense to me, but at the end of the day, his smile is all I need to understand. When Akira Toriyama died, he wept in my arms and I cried with him. He sent me this song today and I can only applaud. Akira Toriyama is surely watching over his fans, new and old alike, like the legend he is.
@@NovumDoesObservation awww what a sweet story! Ty for being there for him!
As someone who was born in 2008, not even in a dragon ball era (like living the time where dragon ball z was airing or something) i found a dragon ball game on a gaming console my uncle had, i learned what dragon ball was and i searched it on youtube when i got home, then i learned there was a series about it, i started watching it and it was my introduction to video games and anime, things that mostly defines my personality today, 90% of the people i know i wouldn't if it weren't for dragon ball, so thank you Akira Toriyama
I love that story!! He brought so many memories to our childhood
Es ist unglaublich wie ein Mann sovielen Menschen, eine schöne Kindheit brachte und soviele Mangakas inspirierte. Er lernte uns nie aufzugeben und dieses Lied ist ein wundervoller Abschied für unseren Helden. Danke vielmals und R.I.P Toriyama. 😢
Thank you so much for watching!!
When I was a kid, I would take the bus home from school, my grandmother would make me a sandwich, and I’d sit down and watch dragonball z on toonami. It was a staple of my childhood. Me and my brothers never stopped watching. Genuinely sucks knowing the man who created something so prominent in your childhood is suddenly gone.
He may be gone from this world, but his legacy will forever burn in our hearts
It’ll burn in our hearts like a spirit bomb 🙌
@@Sonbrokuaiamen
Beautiful song
Thanks to the legend akira toriyama
He made my childhood great
Watching dbz on DVDs back in elementary
Playing dbz budokai on the ps2,then watching super and the movies
Great times
He will live on through his legacy
Now in last year of highschool
I'm grateful for these times
RIP Akira Toriyama
He meant so much to all of our childhoods!
@Sonbrokuai Exactly
So he'll live in our hearts
Thanks for everything Akira toriyama
And this was an amazing tribute song too
Rip. Fly high and know we are thankful
He changed our lives!
@@Sonbrokuaiyes🥹 he changed mine when adult swim came on I watched every episode until I moved.
Akira Toriyama's mourning is in our hearts reminding us that even though time always moves forward, the teenage Sayian within him, will always make it beat.
Yes I agree
The “Shenron rise up I need just one last wish. Bring back the legends don’t let them become myths.” line freaking BEOKE me, dude. This was PHENOMENAL! Rest in Peace, Mr. Toriyama. Thank you so much for everything that you’ve done for and to inspire MILLIONS around the world!
Thank you for watching!!
i think for a lot of us this will hurt for a long time, but it's moments like these where we all come together, its like we are offering up our energy as one, it just makes me proud honestly, dragonball is not just a fandom, this is family. so really SON BROKU just want to say thanks for this, it will be our anthem for a long time
Thank you so much, really appreciate welcoming me into the community! I'm having a blast!
hands up to the sky everyone! RIP Akira Toriyama
*Raises hands*
As for that I Salute to You Akira Toriyama, You Were Truly legendary 🫡🥲 and your Legacy Will Carry On
🙏🙏
I love this song. I love the symbolism of the static that I think would mean that someone is crying or just heartbroken from Toriyama's death.
It’s that breaking into real life from digital to me!
I HOPE YOUR HEARING THIS SONG EVEN FROM THE GRAVE AKIRA ,CAUSE THIS IS FOR YOU ...... REST IN PEACE AKIRA TORIYAMA 😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😥😥😥👊👊👊👊👊😎😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
🙏🙌
I remember waking up early one morning before elementary school, turned on cartoon network and saw a dude standing still as a red and blue alien kept swinging punches and kicks without landing a single hit. In comparison to the rest of the show, it was such a small moment for Goku, but it was enough to completely hook me into the world of Dragon Ball and it influenced so many of my own characters and stories.
Thank you Akira Toriyama, I hope you're still creating beautiful work up there with King Kai!
Awesome memory!!
Rest in peace Akira Toriyama, thank you for making my childhood super
Thanks Akira for everything you are true legendary super sayian without you and dragon ball anime never was popular
🙏🙏
this man created my childhood, from Dragon Ball. To GT, he filled so many years, showed that as long as you had friends you had strength.
A fitting tribute that captures what we all wish we could do. RIP Toriyama.
Thank you for listening!
😢😭🐲🐉❤️thank you so much Akira Toriyama You made my childhood now I’m 34 years old I will always continue watching the Dragon Ball universe. It will always have a place in my heart rest easy on Shenron back TORIYAMA Like how Goku did in end of GT🐉🐲❤️

I grew up with Dragon Ball and today, at 33, I still watch it and play the games.

Absolutely amazing Akira Toriyama would be proud R.I.P to the legend

This made me cry. I knew he had passed but this with the television and everything made it all click, been around since i was a child.
Thank you for this ❤❤😢😢😢 Akira Created a someone I can look up to in a world where I had no role models growing up Like your song says there is saiyan in my soul
I’m so glad you connected with it on that level!!
" going super saiyan 2 every afternoon "

I was 3-4 yrs old watching dragon ball, growing up and experiencing such a great show, learning to be a man, learning about pride and the sacrifices we all have to give to become better as people, was such an amazing time for all of us. King Toriyama, we love you for being such a big part you played in our lives, we raise our hands to you, and may we see you on king Kai’s planet. Fly with angels my friend 🙏 Rest In Power and Peace.
Aww yeah!
R.I.P Akira Toriyama you will be miss.
He will be!
He changed my life for the best possible outcome
Seriously tho! Same!
The man may be gone but the world he created will live on for decades more to come
This is an amazing tribute to an amazing man. The man that made every kid wish they could fly, try to fire beams from their hands, and fight for what matters. He'll be truly missed till the end of time.
that was me as a kid too!!
Just like Akira Toriyama your music has helped me get stronger, to constantly push myself and my body past limits I never thought I could break, thank you for existing and following your dream, because it was through your dedication to your work that I found the strength to push on, R.I.P Akira Toriyama your love and passion lives on through us all.
I LOVE THAT!! Thank you for listening!!
rip Akira Tomiyama you changed so many lives b4 u left us its a shame the dragon balls cant bring you back legend 🙏
Son Broku, I just wanted to say thank you for creating this absolute masterpiece, you really knocked it out of the park with this one. The memories you brought back of growing up watching this show and how we all learned so much from the things Akira taught us with his stories. There is no better way you could have honoured him. I know it's in remembrance of an absolute legend but I can't help feel that this song hits on another level for those of us who have lost loved ones in our lives as I'm sure like myself if we had the dragon balls we have that someone we would wish back in a heartbeat. In tears every time I listen to this, beautiful tribute and once again thank you for your hard work creating this R.I.P. Akira Toriyama.
Your comment means so much thank you for taking the time out to tell me how it connected with you on this level that makes my day! You're awesome and im sorry for any loss in your life! Much love to you!
I'm glad Akira Toriyama mattered to so many people, I know when I am gone I won't matter to anyone
No way!!
This brings me back to the best part of my childhood.. RIP Akira Toriyama.

R.I.P. Akira Toriyama 🙏 Thank you for the unforgettable childhood, There will always live a saiyan in all of us !
🙏😭
For the myth, the legend who left us, but he will never be forgotten because his memories and creations will always be remembered not only by us but by our new generation forever.
Seriously 🙏🕊️
Yo the old school tv rewinding the story of dbz through the show is an incredible touch absolutely love this song
Thank you so much for watching!
I have seriously cried every time I have listen to this song.
Aww!
I been thru war lost brothers and divorced and lost my kids and this man brought me only joy I knew when died I'm lost all over again
🙏😭
The tragic part of being young is seeing those you look up to and inspired your to follow your passion weather it be drawing, acting, and story telling is outliving them. It leaves such a massive sinking feeling in your chest, we always prey and wish that these days would never come. But when they do it never easy to deal with, TORIYAMA left a mark not only on those he knew closest but to the whole world.
It’s so true tho!
Give us back Akira Toriyama. The one wish we all want but can't be granted cause even Akira Toriyama is bigger than Shenron.
🙏😭
I remember every time I wake up on Saturday for dragon ball he will be missed but not forgotten and always here

I gotta admit this song is fire and worth listening to and a good way of honoring Akira Toriyama. R.I.P Toriyama you will always live on in all our hearts.
Thank you!!
I didn't grow up with Dragon Ball but I plan to get to it with a friend and I have MAD respect for it's impact on pop culture. Despite that, I grew up with Toriyama's other work, Chrono Trigger during my childhood and Dragon Quest when I was 17. God rest his soul, and much like how you wish you had the 7 Dragon Balls to bring him back, I'd want to use The Epic with Chrono myself.
Fly high Akira Toriyama, you may be gone but your legends will NEVER die
I cant stop crying everything I hear this song and watch this video....hits so damn heard. Rip Akira. Thank u Broku. You are really doing so much for all of us during this time of grief and healing ❤

It still doesn't feel real. I've been watching Dragon Ball Z my whole life. back then I would come home and turn on the channel "boomerang" cuz DBZ would come on at 7 and start since it has been a heavy part on my life. (the anime, games, collectibles, etc.) RIP Akira Toriyama sensei, thank you for everything. May your vision continue and I'll wish for shenron to send you a copy of DBZ sparking zero
It really doesn’t feel real you’re right

Why just Z? Don't slack off and watch Dragon Ball and then Dragon Ball Z. Double pleasure.
Brought a little warm feeling of nostalgia and sweet sadness for the great sage Toriyama-san. Son broku you did an awesome job with that song and I wish for you to keep on making songs the way you do.
Thank you so friggin much! Seriously !
33 year old here. This is going to bring some healing. Tears as soon as the chorus hit. I think Toriyama-sensei would smile and tell you to continue making music. Thank you for this. It really really means a lot to the older community.
