    I get constant disconnect/reconnect with S23 Ultra. Wifi analyzer shows strong signal at -24dBm but speed varies from 6mbps to more than 100mbps. It disconnects at 6mbps. Going direct without adapter via USB cable works perfectly. Is this Android Auto or Ottocast problem?

      Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
      Check the firmware: Make sure your Ottocast A2Air Wireless is running the latest firmware.
      OTTOCAST wireless CarPlay adapter Firmware update: 👉ua-cam.com/video/pAV5OKyy-1I/v-deo.html
      Reduce background app usage: Close any unnecessary apps that might be using a lot of bandwidth. This can free up resources for Android Auto and improve the stability of the wireless connection.
      Move the phone closer to the Ottocast A2Air Wireless: The closer your phone is to the adapter, the stronger the signal will be, which can help reduce dropouts.
      Try a different USB cable: Sometimes, a faulty USB cable can cause connectivity issues. Try using a different cable to see if that improves the stability of the connection.
      Reset the Ottocast A2Air Wireless: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the adapter to its factory defaults. This will erase any saved settings, but it may also resolve any underlying software issues.
      How to factory reset OTTOCAST Wireless Carplay Adapter: 👉 ua-cam.com/video/-qnY_YJXyww/v-deo.html
      If you've tried all of these troubleshooting steps and you're still experiencing disconnects, it might be a good idea to contact Ottocast support for further assistance.
      I hope this helps

    how do you get the dpi settings?...

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Рік тому

      The DPI settings for the Ottocast A2Air Wireless may not be available as it's not designed to be used with a mouse. It's a wireless adapter that allows you to connect your car with your Smartphone without using cables.

    It is not working with Pixel 6A and I'm unable to find the 'Enable Wireless Android Auto' setting on my Pixel 6A; Could you please help here? Since you used Pixel 6A as well

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  9 місяців тому

      It's unusual that you're unable to find the 'Enable Wireless Android Auto' setting on your Pixel 6A, especially since it worked well in the video. Let's try troubleshooting this together.
      First, please ensure that your Pixel 6A is running the latest software update. Then, navigate to the settings menu, and in the search bar, type 'Android Auto' and open it. Make sure that your phone is connected to your Ottocast device, and then check if the 'Enable Wireless Android Auto' option appears.
      If you're still unable to find it, you can try accessing the Ottocast device via a browser and update it to the latest software version. Here's the video link for guidance: Ottocast Update Tutorial ua-cam.com/video/pAV5OKyy-1I/v-deo.html
      If the issue persists, you can try resetting the Ottocast to its default settings using this tutorial: Ottocast Reset Tutorial ua-cam.com/video/-qnY_YJXyww/v-deo.html
      Additionally, a helpful tip is to first connect your phone directly to your car as Android Auto without the Ottocast device, and then try connecting with the Ottocast afterward.
      I hope these steps help resolve the issue! If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let me know.

    What's your honest opinion about it ? Is it the same as Motorola ma1 or better ? Or worse ?

      Regrettably, I'm unable to provide a specific viewpoint on the Motorola MA1 since I haven't had any prior experience using it. However, I have personally utilized the Ottocast A2Air and I am satisfied with its performance.

      It does not necessarily mean that it is not compatible with the car. I had the same problem, it didn't want to start, it tries with updates thinking that it is not compatible with the car, but in the end it turns out that it is not compatible with the phone, (it tries with two Xiaomi and a Huawei and it didn't work with both) finally I tried it with google and it worked great connect in seconds without any problem also with samsung smartphone.

    • @EverydayThings

      Тhe adapter is designed to work with Kia and various phone models, there can be certain compatibility limitations with specific devices. Based on my tests, I've noticed some issues with Xiaomi Redmi Note models and certain Huawei models. However, it seems to work well with Google Pixel, Samsung, Honor, and Xiaomi T series phones.
      Also, I recommend reaching out to Ottocast support and describing the problem you're facing. They might be able to provide a solution or further guidance tailored to your specific phone model. Additionally, ensure that the wireless connection is enabled within the Android Auto app on your phone.
