- The Zala Lancet drone, a type of unmanned aerial vehicle developed by ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of Russian arms company Kalashnikov Concern, is classified as a loitering munition or reconnaissance drone. It is a highly effective weapon against armored vehicles, tanks, and artillery systems, making it a crucial tool in modern warfare. The drone entered service in 2019 and was designed as a high-performance surveillance and reconnaissance platform equipped with advanced sensors and imaging technology. It can perform a wide range of tasks, from mapping and surveying to intelligence gathering and target tracking. During the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the drone has been frequently used by the Russian military. Recently, it was reported that a US air defense system designed to protect UAVs was destroyed by a Lancet drone near Vodianoe city through the use of Lancet ammunition.

У ланцета дальность 50 км потолок 3 км и максимальная скорость 300 км/ч . сравнил йух с пальцем. так что давай вперед попробуй подойти к арте, которая бьёт на 20+ км, и сидеть минут пять на месте пока твой дрон долетит. Получается что ланцет запускается с безопасного расстояния для оператора, я понимаю что славаукраинцам сложно принять такую реальность но увы...

Secondly, Russia commits only a fraction of it's military power in the conflict, because it has to manage public opinion in it's own country, Russia can play for time, sooner or later the West has to make concessions.

30 тыс евро - это скорее всего стоимость всего комплекса, включая пусковую установку т дрон разведки. А сами "ланцеты" скорее всего в несколько раз дешевле. При массовом производстве такая фигнюшка весом в 12 кг не может стоить как современный автомобиль

If i was a Ukrainian artillery, air defense, or radar operator, i would be terrified of the lancet.
It's fast, cheap, hard to shoot down, and packs a punch.
Like we've seen a lancet take out an air defense system designed to destroy drone sized/type targets (avenger).
I personally believe the lancet is one of the best performing pieces of equipment in ukraine

I noticed that too, weird they used that photo of a fuel type motor while talking about this type of drone.
Maybe both drones were used. Ukraine always hides damages especially on photos. They showed the Shahid which also received the fragmentation holes.
Drone also can carry cumulative warheads for penetrating thick tank amor. Thermobaric warhead cannot break tanks' armor. It can be used only against infantry but covers large area.
It’s good that it’s environmentally friendly but what pronouns should we use when referring to it/her/him/they? Also, what do we know about the gender pay gap at the Kalashnikov factory where they are made? I also don’t see any warning labels indicating that it could be harmful to people and property. all weapons are not invincible, russian soldier have one type of weapon, Ukrainian soldier have multi type of weapons

so, i can not say that Su-34 is trash.. btw it will be the same result if it was F22 raptor, you have many many different air defence.

I doubled checked yes a suitcase nuke is on average 50 pounds but a dirty (no uranium shell) (still a nuke just less force "dirty Bomb") can be 18 pounds.

Im pretty sure it has an electric engine to minimize heat signature so is harder to be detected by manpads etc. Nothing to do with environmental friendlyness
