Something about the part B-6 isn't designed right. You can't press it in place with smashing down on the gear that the string winds up on. Puts way too much tension on the whole gearing system and there is no way the clock will work. This thing looks really cool but a complete bummer to get near the end of assembly and come up with a whole bunch of useless parts.
I put a lot of quarters in mine and it still doesn't turn on its own, I need to put a ridiculous amount of weight (such as a full soda can) to get it to work, but then its extremely fast. Any tips?
the instructions for the pendulum string are nothing like what youve done. and the pendulum doesnt swing. i give this a 5 out of ten. i also thought it was wood.
I bought it on amazon before I saw this video and let me tell you that today is someone’s birthday and I am giving it to them. I looked at the package and thought it was wood and would stand up to be taller than 10” so we’ll see how that goes in like 30 minutes

It doesn't work unless you put about 15 to 25 lbs of pressure on the weight. All I got was frustrated. My son and I were happy to trash it.

you have some gears messed up. hour hand doesn't move that fast on mine. mine is almost timed correctly to use as a real clock
