Bangladesh is fighting for abolition of quota and Indian state of Karnataka trying to appease voters by implementing new quota.Failed to create government jobs now trying to put quota in private jobs as well.
The current protests that has been going in Bangladesh against 30 % Quota was already abolished by Shiekh Hasina in 2018 but someone filed an appeal in Dhaka High court and the Dhaka High court passed an order to reinstate the quota system back. Now the Supreme court of Bangladesh has already given a stay on Dhaka High court's order and has put forth August 7 as the Hearing date and is expected to pass an order to scrap the quota.
These protests are being fueled by China and Pakistanis against the Pro India Shiekh Hasina Government to depose the government and bring an anti India Pro Islamist government to power in Bangladesh.

This reminds me of when some of the influencers made video on Bangladesh saying how Bangladesh economy is "blooming" back in 2023 i was highly skeptical about that it was like yes India is bad but no way Bangladesh is any better and then just after 4-5 months we saw protest over falling economy and other problems in Bangladesh at that point i stopped watching these so called infotainment content which have no sense and base.
