I have a shine 5 string bass with a very similar body. A friend, an instrument maker, made a new fretless neck for it and added an active circuit. Anyway, nice playing there, sir!
I'd love to try failing to play fretless one day. Never heard about Shine before I started browsing internet for used tat, quite possible someone brought it here from teh UK.
@@ZeeKat Yeah, same, I'd never heard of Shine before, or since. Until now! :) Failing at the fretless is pretty great, as when I hit the wrong note I can save myself with a cool sounding slide up/down to a note that works :) Its no good for me kicking out fast, funky or rocky basslines tho, only weirder stuff.
Nothing exciting, just guitar straight into Mackie Blackjack and the rest is POD Farm (as described onscreen, JMP1/JCM800 models with 4x12 Celestion T-75 cabs and whatever is modelled by "Line 6 Clean" and L6 2x12 cab). I probably sound too muddy but everytime I try to make it different it ends up too thin :)
On my sample of one(1) - nice weird looking guitar, if you can find one on the cheap. Replace the trem coz the stock one is crap. There's a company that sells new-old stock (as they're long out of production) Shines on ebay, but IMO bit too expensive there.

Very cool guitar. What's your signal chain? You're getting a great tone out of this.
