nice to see a non-M3 for a change. Not to mention one that isnt completely stock-bodied either. Don't get me wrong, the current M3 is wide enough and well suited for racing modifications, but I can't help but love the touring wide body designs :).
ich war am 13.06.2009 (als wir unsern 520d e61 abgeholt haben) dabei, als vor der bmw welt ein mclaren f1 gtr (u.a. nelson piquet fährt damit) aufgewärmt wurde - schier unfassbar, wie laut ein auto doch sein kann :D sowas geiles...
@S3tuP88 The motor is completely okay. I think the fuel-air-mixture is very "rich"..., hope that's the right explanation in english ;) In addition the air temperature was comparatively cold.
dude, this z4 shares almost nothing with the production version. BMW built this from scratch instead of just modding the production Z4. the entire body and im assuming frame is completely new and apparently so is the engine.

it's a racecar, not a ricer. you actually NEED the spoilers and extensions

The engine is a modified version of the M3 V8. (4.4L vs 4.0L)
First ones only had a 4 L, later switched to 4,4 L.

It doesn't have a supercharger, the car has a 4.3 l atmospheric V8 engine.
Anyway, beautiful car this thing.
