" distance since dpf filter last changed 3036 Km "so its got a blocked dpf and someone reset the counters already, people need to understand its a servicable item and cleaning only removes a proportion of the blockage, theres a counter for dpf life and they predict 80k miles for a filter then a new one is needed
Could you tell me how you managed to get the computer to regen as I have a blocked dpf and can't get it to either tried two shop computers on it now ?..
@@michaelreidy3343 Hi Michael, yes about 30 mins or so.Went between junctions on M40 local to Me,About 20 miles of Motorway driving,up through the gears, stayed in fourth for a while then cruised in fifth at about 65-70 mph.Only really use the van for local journey's,so after about 6 weeks come on again.Went for a drive on local fast 'A' road about 50-60 mph for about 30 mins again and this did the trick also.BUT,I think the best thing I did was switch to Shell Diesel on the last couple of refills rather than use Supermarket fuel.I will stick with Shell,as no sign of light coming on again.Hope this works for You.Regards,Starman.
Thankyou for Your Advice, My EML came on Today and the OBD has indicated to the DPF, drove home for about 20 minutes but its seems to be in limp mode as it only goes to 3k RPM so in 4th gear it struggled between 65-70mph, Was Yours in Limp Mode and did yours have the EML on? Issue I also have is my van is limited to 70mph (ex Electricity Van) I Will try longer tomorrow on the Motorway, Thanks
@@michaelreidy3343 No limp mode the last two times, but I had limp mode about six years ago not long after I had bought the van.i had a mechanic friend have a look, and he talked about a 'sticky intake valve'??.Sometimes turning the ignition on/off three times or so quick will reset the computer to clear limp mode.I wouldn't worry about massive revs/thrashing just drive constant fast road instead of start/stop urban driving.I wouldn't want to drive a Bipper much faster than 70mph as there not really Motorway vans.Let Me know how You get on.Regards,Starman.
Thankyou, Mine has the Limp mode(Well I think it's in Limp mode)as won't go over 3k RPM, The OBD has indicaded its the DPF Booked in for Thursday at Garage to be Cleaned or Regen but thought I would give it a run out tomorrow, Thanks
