Been doing that for y-e-a-r-s. Just use a bucket about half full of water and just work the root ball gently with your fingers. Then that water can be used on your plants, so you're not losing any of that soil they were started in.
My son regularly stops by a huge plant nursery and fills his truck bed with plants they have thrown out in the dumpster. He has filled his yard, ours and those of many neighbors with all the plants they will take.
@@napaea9460 How sad. Here in southern California, plant nurseries don't lock up their dumpsters. My son is careful to NEVER make a mess so that locking does not happen.

Oh that would be amazing.
I’ve heard people keep saying they do this, but how? Because here in Canada they even keep the dumpsters locked up lol

Well thank you so much. I use to just rip them apart and they would just die that way.
You Sir are a super sweet man
Well thank you
This is a much easier way to breaking up plants in soil. thanks!🎉
Well you are so welcome
there is no need to waist all that good dirt like that . master gardener here . put it over a bucket.
Good suggestion. Dirt will clog up my hydroponic system however.
Just walk up to the front where they are, pick one up, and leave. Free plant.
Lol
Lmao I do the same thing. Funny as hell to know others are thinking the same way
Yes it is for sure
Just buy a squash that you like and save the seeds. Works better and you can grow more.
What if you wanted to grow brussel sprouts?
Wow
