Sheila Needs A Home

- Meet Sheila! She is a 5-year-old titled Mustang mare. She leads, picks up her feet (including being fine for the farrier), is gentle, loves kisses, and loves to follow you around the pasture for attention and pets. She has also already been started under saddle! Although we haven't ridden her here yet, she was ridden through the ring at auction and appeared to do well with no bad behaviors from what we observed. She is only about 14 hh and is under 800 lbs so she would need a smaller advanced rider who is able to bring her along in her training and put miles on her; however, she has amazing potential to be a kid horse and would do amazing in the right place.
If you are interested in adopting her, you can click this link for an adoption application: www.horseplushumanesociety.or...
If you have any questions/concerns you can email info@horsehumane.org.
We rescue horses of all species, ages, training levels and colors. No animal is ever turned away at our Open Admission Shelter!

"She is probably one of the cutest mustang mares I've ever seen" - agreed!!!!!!!!
She's a doll!
I think she really likes you Cory. Every time you back her up she want to be closer to you. She’s one of the most docile mustangs I’ve seen. Good job Kory
She looks so sad, like she's been through a lot.
She deserves a person who will be kind to her and loving to her ❤️
No doubt she has...
She just wants a hug Kory! 💔 My heart broke when she did that right away! She is lovely 🖤
Awwww, Sheila loves Kory. I do't think she's moving in aggressively---she just wants some cuddles! She's a total cutie.
Thanks Kory for spending time training her and understanding her. She’s lovely!
@@Maggie They’re naturally social like he said and their behavior is quite resilient. But, how fast do you think they learn all of this? Trying to go into horse rearing, building a farm for it and so I need to learn daily.
It's very nice to see a sound horse, as well as responsive---but not terrified! She just needs the right person to come along and she'll be amazing.
This little mare has nice eyes.....and seems very accepting of a human! Great asset. Now, there needs to be an experienced person drawn to her. When she gains weight and muscle, she will probably surprise a few folks! Her disposition and calmness, plus a gentle eye will make her a solid horse with the right person to carry on her training.
Thank you Kory for all your lovely work with these animals.
Hi again
Good job with Sheila Kory. So wonderful to see how she trusts and cares for you. The Mustang mentality is a whole different thing. She must have had some gentle care before. Hoping you adopts her will understand her and carry on your TLC.
Heartfelt thx
Thank you Kory for all the love you give these horses. You do it for all of us also.

Love this place so much, I can’t give right now, but one day I wanna pay 100.00 a month to see horses rescued. I pray a flash mop of giving floods in, like what happened with the chosen series God cares about horses too.
I agree, I think she just wanted cuddles & love for a few moments!
Great video though! It's an awesome way to promote the adoptable!
Sheila Is such a Beautiful horse God Bless her and you guys for helping her and all the other horses ❤🥰🤗💕😇🙏
She’s a beauty ❤
Indeed ❤
Looks like Kory’s doing a good job with her-I can see where he’d think she’d be good for the trails, with a little more work!!!
Not to change the subject-but we miss Kissime...
How is she doing and has she had her foal, yet???
😇
She seems to have the "human love gene"!
Kory she's coming on good job🎉
Hey Kory, like your beard cut!!! You look all ready for Summer! Did you notice she picked up her back right leg, when you first brought her in? Has she been checked medically w her hocks? Just wondering why she would pick her right hoof? That's her right hoof while she's facing you. Maybe she needs an anti-inflammatory shot into her hock joint. She seems too young for that, but, we don't know her history! ❤🐎❤️
I know this a silly question but have you checked if she in foal. But I love her eyes she seem like be a good alrounder.
Glad to hear that you have someone else to ride her other than Kory, he's a little big for her. Is Kimberly and Caitlyn training now also? I've wondered who else you have had there now to train and ride. No way Kory alone could handle training on the amount of horses you have.
I think Cory should take her home ......
I think she loves Corey and wants to be close. She trusts him. I know she needs to learn about space but I don’t she’s doing it to dominate.
🏇
Wish i could help i live in South Australia Austraila so i cant get her she is beautiful. But i can help you to be a member hope that helps and i post ever videos all the timeon all my platform
We all get together n donte to get for kory
i dont get that she is sad. some days i get that but sometimes we project. im hopeful for its own sake not without reason. thank you horse plus shes gorgeous
She’s tiny
First❤
I wonder who is going to do the riding on her. Kory is way to big and heavy for that little mare. .
He actually says in the video.
You want her out of your personal space , but you hug her nose and show her love? That's not fair.
If she were mine I would give her a hug when she came to me because maybe that's what she needed. We all need that... people and animals.
I believe he’s trying to establish boundaries. Since horses are such large animals it’s important that they don’t make a habit of hovering over you so closely that they may knock you over. That doesn’t mean no contact with them. It means having Kory initiate that close contact when the time is appropriate. I learned to do the same with my dog - when she greets me she needs to calm down and give me some space and then I will greet her that way. This is just my best educated guess based on riding experience and dog ownership
@@francineherron1940 When you are training/ teaching ground work and boundaries with an untrained or scared horse, you actually need to do the opposite of that. You can go up to the horse and give her cuddles but the horse cannot come into you without your consent/ without you bringing her there. That lesson is really important because she will respect your space, and when the horse gets scared, she will see you/respect you and not run you over. And that respect will also make your horse feel safe and calm knowing you are in control and they can relax. But you are right that we all animals/people need a hug🥰
You can give cuddles when you are going into the horse´s space and want her to stay, or when you bring her into yours( when they are doing a good job) The horse just cannot come into your space or move forward unrequested and must keep their distance until requested, then cuddling/petting the horse doesn´t interupt the personal space training or the respect.
@@yara5502 yes I see your point. Thank you for explaining 👍
