I dont have ANY bad words towards Rocky - cuz he did VERY good - but with Will, the songs feel more alive - even the old ones from Fallen - they have such much more energy with Will behind the drums that it's almost like new songs - I feel very lucky that a band i hold so close have a drummer like Will!
Love his style of playing! And you never get bored of watching him cause each time he plays a song it has completely different fills (always great!) :D
Thanks for the interest guys! That cymbal us actually a 19” Z3 Thrash Ride. Its a fairly thin cymbal that works great as a crash, and its a perfect cymbal to wash on. It might be one of my favorite crashes I've ever played.

Yup the drums on this song were def written by Will just by the way it sounds on the album n here that's all his writing. That groove is fire!! I think they recorded the album before he was the permanent drummer but he was the drummer for this album in 09 I believe

The new album feels more lively with troy in the guitar and will playing the drums as compared to their older albums. I really love all their albums just that theres an extra kick with the instruments used in their self titled album
adhnrjb most evanescence fans disagree with you. the self titled album sounded generic and like every other hard rock album. what made evanescence, evanescence was the unique sound on Fallen and The Open Door. the electronic beats, the choir, the layered vocals, the non constant rock or drum sound but a blend of everything. this album was too straight foward hard rock. which is probably why this album is their least successful and didn't even reach 1 million sold. sadly.
Hey Will, Awsome playing mate. What are the 32nd note fills rudiments. is that Linear phrasing or Single stroke rolls only? you 2 of those type fills in this track.
