LOVED when christine talked ab her experience with antidepressants !! only thing i will say, as someone who was also on antidepressants for years and weened myself off them w the help of my doctor, they aren’t IMPOSSIBLE to get off of. some are more difficult than others, but with proper medical advice and help it can be done !
it’s the same with my ADHD medication. i’ve been taking it for 7 years and am starting to see the long term effects of them. i was 15 when i started taking it but i never knew i had other options. i feel that doctors try and push medication on you but just know there are other ways to treat your mental health!!
@@kitt7443 there’s other ways to deal with certain symptoms it’s just harder and takes more time. i haven’t started but im going to start seeing a specialist who helps me learn certain tools to deal with them.
100% agree with Christine on the meds thing. I experienced those exact symptoms except the fact that it took away my ability to cry. it also severely messed up my gut and I had barely any sex drive. No one ever talks about how it effects so many other things in your body. Not to mention the long term symptoms. I went off without waning myself off and got extremely sick. I wish I would’ve known how important diet, excercise, and proper psychological treatment (w/o meds) was when I was younger. I would’ve never taken them
This is why I never wanted to take them, I was prescribed some paxil for anxiety, but the cons outweigh the pros. I dont want brain zaps or low libido.
