I loved this game as a kid. I never got to collect all of the rainbow stones though, but deep down I knew there was something special waiting if you collect all of them! Now I finally know!
I remember when i have played this game on emulator at 9 year old and i loved it. I would say that this is the best Kirby game on Game Boy and also one of the best Game Boy game and Kirby game.
This is an OK game imo, it's extremely easy at times, and when it tries to become difficult, it ends up as very frustrating. The last Rainbow Drop is also a pain in the ass to collect. It introduced some staples characters to the series like the enemy Bouncy and most importantly, Dark Matter, and it had some great boss fights.
Kirby's next adventure on Game Boy introduces his first three animal buddies: Rick the Hamster, Coo the Owl, and Kine the Fish. With a new threat looming over Dream Land, Kirby and friends must collect the Rainbow Shards to restore peace.
I love this game. It's nowhere near close to my favorite, but it's SO GOOD! The only things I didn't like were the measly number of abilities, and how the 5th and 6th Rainbow drops were collected, but the great soundtrack, new and tough bosses (as well as old bosses with new moves), and amazing finale more than makeup for these downsides (personally). The animal friends add tons of charm, and the visuals push the game to it's limits. 8/10 P.S. I just had a lot to say. I don't review games for a living.

This is a great game! It adds the copy ability and animal friends to a console that’s very limit! I’m very impressed on how good it is!
Game Boy games got better with their sequels. Same deal with Super Mario Land and Wario Land.

A pro-tip about Dark Matter: It's easier to deflect Dark Matter's attacks back at him. He takes more damage than going for a full-frontal attack.
I go with a mixture of full-frontal attacks and deflecting his projectiles. It's riskier, but it can make the fight quicker.
