- As the production of our upcoming album "Transience" continues, we would like to start showing some snippets of new songs as they are being recorded. We hope this will give you a rough idea of what to expect from the album - hopefully without too many spoilers!
To start off in no particular order, here is a fragment of Nimblkorg recording a midi piano interlude for the title track, Transience.

It seems both band members are responding to comments from time to time (we are both so very enthusiastic about this) so pardon us for any overlaps in responses, and stay tuned!

I think that's safe to say - it has been cooking our brains since the release of the debut, so while it is impossible for us to judge our own work, we both are really unloading all we've got on this album. We hope it will create a unique experience!

Thank you very much! Not just for the reaction, but also for the patience. This process would be a whole lot more stressful if people were pushing us to rush it, but the opposite is our experience. We hope we can repay you for that by creating works that are in some way meaningful.

Great to see such enthusiasm! Makes us all the more excited to release the whole thing :) While this is still a work in progress, the way things sound in the video are probably close to what the final album sound will be for this track, so I'm glad that didn't disappoint!

I can't believe that a 1:14 min teaser makes me more hyped than a whole new Metallica or In Flames song for an upcoming album ..... This album is by far the one I await the most ! It sounds so amazing I just can't stop listening to it !

Even though waiting for the next release is not easy, I'm glad to see that you guys are taking your sweet time to make the wait worth it, to mold it all into perfection. Great bands are releasing epic records in 2016. And if this comes out by the end of this year, none of the other records will matter because this... This will be a masterpiece,,,

This sounds freacking awsome!I am sure that if you had a full number of people in the band and one of you didn't suffer from social anxiety i think,so that you could tour, you would become fast one of the biggest names in progressive melodeath or whatever you want to call it.Keep doing the great job that you are doing guys

Glad it's having the intended effect! If you like that kind of thing I think there will be plenty of stuff for you on this album - basically the only reason we chose to use this part was because we had a video recording to it. I'm looking forward to hearing your reaction when it is done and out!

Aah auwe! Really glad you are liking this first glimpse already; if it's good enough for one of the oldest supporters of the project I am satisfied!
This second round is every bit as intense in its creation as the first one was - and luckily we don't need 10 years to learn everything anymore this time ;) With that said... you know us. We won't release it until it's exactly as we had imagined, so I cannot say for sure yet when it's finished. We strive to get as much as possible done by the end of the year, but let's see what happens!
Shylmagoghnar: I would expect nothing less ;) everyone cannot wait for this to be released, but after a 10 year wait for the first one, a few more months will be peanuts. The feeling which the minute of your music gave me is very intense, am more excited by this than by the entire new Metallica album that will come out soon. Let me know when the album is out, will be sure to support you guys again.

Sounds really good so far! I hope you guys keep the trend of a few instrumentals in there, it helps you reload/recharge a bit from the super hardcore parts.
There are three instrumentals, and one is over ten minutes long. Rest assured :)
This particular song will have vocals, but also a lot of instrumental parts. We hope you will enjoy the end result.
Thank you and yes, we definitely will! We both have a love for instrumental tracks; they feature such unique opportunities in comparison to vocal tracks that it's likely they will always be an integral part of this project. Right now it looks like 3 out of 8 tracks on this album will be instrumental, with the longest one being the final track

Hey! It has certainly come to mind so I won't exclude that it will ever happen, but it will most likely not be very soon.
It's not so much that I wouldn't want to make one - we love that other musicians want to give our music a shot! But when I made the tab for "I am the Abyss" for our anniversary, I quickly noticed that doing a tab thoroughly eats up a lot more time than I had imagined, so a fully fleshed out tab book would probably become quite a project. At this early stage of the band I'd prefer to invest that time into creating more music, but who knows: there may come a moment where I feel like focusing on things like these for a bit instead :)

Haha indeed I do, and I'm grateful for that!
The plan is to release the vinyl for Emergence together with the second album :) We sadly cannot make both albums in vinyl right away because we have to see how the Emergence one goes first. We're still a pretty small project so it's a bit of a gamble!

I was already hoping to see your reaction to this! Glad the first impression was a positive one :)
We haven't completely decided yet on how we will be going about the release of this album, but my guess right now is that there will be a pre-order. More details about that to follow when the production nears its finish! If all goes well, we hope to finish recording by the end of this year and then wrap things up and plan the release early-ish 2017.
And yes, unless something VERY unexpected happens, Journey Through the Fog will be on it! It is planned to be the last vocal track before the big instrumental that will end the album.

Thank you. We are as well! We are both quite avid gamers, but call of duty is not among the games we play - I will check out this theme asap. But being compared to professional ost writers is always a great and humbling compliment :)

Sorry to hear that things are troublesome because of financial stuff btw - it's sad but it can really be a creative killer. On the other hand, some great albums have been made with very minimal investment so please don't give up hope! Maybe I'm naive but I honestly believe that where there is a will, there is a way. If history has shown us anything, it is that hardship forges the greatest art.
