My name is Sam and together with my girlfriend Lyanne, I am on a quest to restore the beauty of this old Italian villa from 1895. Join us as we have to let go of our Dutch habits to fit in in our Italian surroundings, were the word 'plan' gets redefined and our tastebuds are awakened.
The goal of this project is to show that with limited financial means and a lot of optimism we can resurrect the beauty of this abandoned villa in a green and sustainable way. But most of all learn from everything that we encounter and enjoy it whilst we're at it.
It looked liked you had enough potatoes dug to feed the whole town. I was always taught to take what you need and to leave the remainder in until BEFORE the first frost. They’ll be perfectly safe. The foliage will die off and not look very nice, but it’s the best way to preserve you produce. Also next season, try and grow early potatoes first, then plant them every two weeks. But only enough to last the two weeks at a time. You’ll then have sufficient time to sow/plant other crops. Good luck, Rob, Cardiff, Wales 🏴
He needed to remove the diseased foliage (potato blight) lest it infect the tomatoes (another nightshade) nearby.

Sam good progress but rule of thumb is always min 2 fixing bolts on brackets, however I would have made custom flat inside side plate out of steel plate and two bolts into timber and two into wall, as your mass weight of tank will be very heavy, just my suggestion
I agree, one bolt is not enough. It would been much better if supported the beam with a post on each end all the way to the floor.

Great progress. Dan is the MAN, the man with his yellow fan. An inspiration for all of us. We all can learn from Dan, but Dan can learn from you to wear face protection especially when he is using his fan and in his workshop.
Lol, when I seen that junior hacksaw I held my breath, only suggestion I have is to tighten the nut up to the wall before you cut and it helps to repair the thread when you take it off, after cutting.👍

When your pots are empty put them in an old panty you can hang them in your shed.
Put little pots on stick so you don’t steak an eye out when your weeding 😅
There are 3 brothers Tomatoes 🍅 melon en paprika put them together
Don’t put zucchini radish and cucumber next to each other because they won’t grow properly.
I’m sorry I’m not a builder but a gardener 👨🌾 😅 but I hope you take my tips and do beter next year.
O and please don’t put bamboo in your garden it’s going to wild. But you can always put bamboo in a big pot.

I know nothing about putting beams in, and am willing to admit to my total ignorance. Lol.
I am wondering why you didn't hill up the potato plants. After that the potatoes (roots) grow larger in size.
The bee is taking a fair amount of time at each flower. Sign it is getting good nectar at each flower.

Fennel should be planted alone or in a pot. It inhibits the surrounding plants.

Your potatoes weren't done growing/ the tops have to die off and turn brown then you harvest!
