歷史上很多作曲家都把對故鄉的愛與自豪感印刻在作品中，其中不得不提積極呈現捷克民俗音樂特性的德伏扎克。相比其家喻戶曉的第九交響曲，德伏扎克「最轟動世界」的交響曲當屬第七。
去年9月，港樂音樂總監梵志登為觀眾帶來這部滿有能量的作品。它在倫敦的首演，令德伏扎克的事業更上一層樓，它亦是梵志登最喜愛的交響曲之一。
Dvořák is among one of the most notable composers who have expressed patriotism through their works. He demonstrated his love for the motherland by incorporating Czech folk elements into his works spanning genres. His ninth symphony, From the New World, might have gained him worldwide popularity, but the symphony that is “capable of stirring the world” is perhaps his seventh.
Dvořák’s Symphony no. 7 is also one of Jaap van Zweden’s favourite symphonies, which he brought to audience in Hong Kong at the beginning of 2021/22 Season.
