Interesting. - Least problems with forward launches. - Orange wings tend to crash more often 😁 - Many pilots don't feel their wings and have not understood the kinetics of launch properly.
Thank you for your analysis! 👍 I will not fly orange wings anymore 😅 Concerning your last point one should consider the pilots are under lots of stress and also physical exertion after a demanding sprint throug rough alpine terrain.
@@cloudnineparagliding Yes but starting a miniwing with a backward start wtih almost no wind is rly retarded xD, except your unsure of your lines but then check them lmao hillarious
Thank you! Added. I hope I got it right. Its the sequence starting at 8:16 where you can see two paragliders take off almost at the same time, isn't it?
Thank you! I am very sorry if I missed your takeoff! I was shure I got everyone. Cant you even see yourself flying by? Seems like you have been too fast... Sorry!
@@cloudnineparagliding I see me walking to the start, than the video switched to other pilots starting after me. Doesnt matter. I am not the top-perfomer. 74th after the race. Next year there will be some things changed to get a better time. I am happy about my performance this year! Dont get me wrong. ;-)
So I’m guessing this isn’t like a normal hike and fly race because nobody is really flying XC wings. Is it basically run to the top and fly down as fast as possible?
Its a relay race (mountain running, paragliding, biking, kayaking). The distance the paragliding pilots have to cover is easily within gliding range of a miniwing. First they run a short distance, then they fly to a different mountain lower down where they land on a ski slope. After running up again several hundred meters they finally glide down to the stadion where they hand over to the cyclists. You will find some more information in the video description. The other stations the paragliders are passing you can see in my other videos: Intermediate landings and takeoffs ua-cam.com/video/TlaCFTOcZPo/v-deo.html Final landings in stadion ua-cam.com/video/qND-GQSa4l0/v-deo.html
Yikes, that Chrigel launch! I saw the video he posted where it cuts straight from inflation to smooth flight and was wondering why... now I see! Looks like a lot of Nova wings, even among athletes that are usually affiliated with Advance.
@@climbergregor1224 it looks like he just ran forward as soon as glider was laid out, without checking lines (race mode...). I would *assume* that he thought it was clear for a forward launch, but in reality there was a full twist of the lines.
Well, I think interest always occur in the head of the spectator. I would not agree its easyer to takeoff with miniwings. Yes, they inflate easily, but everithing is going much faster. Especially the acceleration phase until getting airborne is much more critical than with classic paragliders. If it looks easy, than because its a good pilot.
Thank you for sharing these take-offs. Really awesome !!!
I glad you enjoyed it! 😊

what wings are this? is this speedwing? or miniwing?
Most of them are miniwings. Speedwings are smaller I think.
will there be a viedeo of 2024?
Yesssss, there it is 😀

Sponsored by Nova😂
The best miniwing for those races. It means alot when sponsored pro athletes didn‘t choose their brand for a race like that.
It seems the Bantam (2) is just the best miniwing on the market right now...

Yes, even the best can make mistakes. The reaction still is awesome!
Seem like there is no better miniwing than the Bantam...
I am trying to figure out what exactly was Chrigel doing. 360° twisted lines?

Speed wing launch not really that interesting imo. They look like toy wings. Not much to get ‘em up.

Dislike. Always looks like they don't have control over their wings and don't follow safe start procedures at all.
It’s a race! You don’t have time to be safe!
