On playing the objective: I have found more often that people OVER-play the objective. This is ESPECIALLY the case on oddball. Don’t just pick up the ball because it is there, same for flags. You need to slay to open up the objective first, and then when you have the ball, don’t just stand there with it in perpetuity. Hold it when you have opportunity for free time, drop and slay to maintain control, and then pick it back up if the slays go your way. If your team ends up losing the slay, determine if you can rotate ball or play it. If you can’t, see if you can get some slays while rotating off of the ball to give your team a better chance on quickly breaking an opposing setup before it has a chance to get rooted.
Learn the setup locations, learn their priority, learn how to juggle the fucking ball/flag, and learn how to slay with *purpose* instead of mindlessly playing objective or going full murder hobo.

Need to watch out for tunnel visioning. Yes, not every gamemode is slayer where you explicitly need to get kills to win but even in slayer you need to be moving with your team and taking fights with them when trying to move to a better position or take an objective. Time-to-kill is way to slow to be going into 1v2's. Also, don't always sacrifice good positioning (ie high ground) to chase after a kill. Dealing damage to an enemy will get them to retreat and not be able to help their team without putting themselves at risk. You can then worry about shooting the other three enemies with your four teammates
And then they scream at you when you don't pick it up immediately
Ranked system needs to tone down how much it depends on KDA and should prioritize match score a bit more.
Charge plasma and let go as soon as you use grapple on enemy. As soon as you reach them with the grapple it lets out the charged shot which can be followed by melee quickly. It is very OP. I do it with some other weapons too.

Honestly I don’t find as many issues with odd ball as I do with stronghold. I’m onyx and even at my rank I still see people not properly rotating or not understand the fact you don’t need to triple cap/can just hold 2 zones and hold power positions and defend. It boggles my mind.
So true, sometimes its better to leave the last zone and prevent dying which will instantly give the enemy score
Yesssss and overextending. Too many times teammates push their one zone for kills. Only to fuck up their spawns and then we get triple capped. You only need two to get points. Let’s not be greedy lol.
@@melvinguerrero3455 exactly. Least with oddball even if teammates are mindlessly going for the ball, they sorta got the idea of the game type. Seems like nobody has a clue how to play stronghold, least my random teammates never do.
Amen. Scoreboard shows defensive kills and offensive kills for a reason. Cap 2 spread out on your half the map and slay them In their 1 cap spawns. If your team doesn't chase kills and just calls them out, they will be trapped.
Last night, I was playing fiesta as a support. I had the localizator equipment and I was using to help my teammates to see any potential dangers hiding in the corners.
I saw two gravity hammer users located in the south side of Bazaar, waiting for someone to come closer
I marked them waiting to blast the room with grenades or any explosive weapons with my teammates...
Three times they died trying to push into the room AFTER I shot a enemy localizator and marked them SEVERAL TIMES and even one teammate died TWICE by the same guy with the hammer.
Both of them tea bagged my squad for that.

I've started to really enjoy picking up the oddball and getting some good/confusing jump melee maneuvers in.

I must say that for me after doing tutorials and watching some youtube tutorials fiesta was best practice for using different equipments, weapons and vehicles - it's against players, so it's harder and more real than anything with bots and you get a crossection of available tools at your disposal to try pretty much everything and get better with using it, while learning maps in the process.
slowly making my way up through 1700-1800 open play as MnK. in the few games without disconnects or cheaters, there’s always someone not contesting power weapons. then we’ll lose by 2 points or something arbitrary.

It only takes one person to grab the oddball while others slay or defend and usually the person who isn’t performing well in the slayer side of the game than they should prioritize on the ball more. Not saying that the ones slaying shouldn’t play obj because I will play obj when I can play it but you need people to slay out.
You're saying that, but I've routinely gotten top kills while also having the most oddball holding time. This community sucks and the Fiesta Match event combined with the progression system is cancer. Meanwhile, BTB just flat out doesn't work like at all. Fix your dumb game 343, or the rest of your playerbase is going to quit. Steam population down 50 percent already.

my biggest problem with this game is the high ping i get, if im lucky its 50 but most of the time its 120+ add desync on top of that and it becomes uncompetable in, somehow its still fun but you're basically a free kill sometimes, and br battles are horrible with that much ping. thats probably not the dev's fault i mean what can they really do about the server population in my region

Hey man nice video. Do you understanding the cindershot is homing to your aim cursor? Ive seen very few people take advantage of this. For example if you keep your aiming cursor on your target all the shots and bank shots will converge on your target. I get a ridiculous amount of kills with it because of this, and i often see people doing what you're kind of doing. Firing it randomly and at people's feet which I promise isn't as effective. Try it out, this might only work zoomed in?
You forgot one, stop throwing nades in the middle of a 1 v 1 gun fight lol
If you find yourself getting frustrated, stop playing for a bit or at the very least stop playing ranked. Vicious circle, if you're pissed off performance will drop even more.

For me it depends on my teams strengths if they're pushing objective I cover them with powerful rifles or use vehicles to help our side if they don't push I do
Play the objective. Almost every session I get put into or against teams not doing this, but less on ranked. Too many kids concerned with thier K/D ratio (the have mics with nothing to say except the sound of parents talking to them in the background 🤣)
For the 12th tip, the AI scan is set to "Z" by default for PC.

I noticed this too lol. And other things getting blocked out as ###. For some reason GG was blocked out at the end of a match.
How do you use the Ping feature? (#7)
On PC you press X - if you're aiming at enemy it'll ping location with number of enemies. If you aim at empty vehicle, weapon or equipment it'll ping with its name and location. If you aim at ground it'll ping location.
PLEASE CONTEND POWER WEAPONS, so many looses due to spnks, actuve camo, and o.s., and everyone wants to argue at the end off the match when you point it out, i fight 1v2 1v3 for power weapons so much its horrible then have people be loke man you died so much....yea im the inly one trying to win aka stop them from getting power items for free
When it comes to ranked, major csr is awarded to the top two players on the team. This causes the community to play slayers on every obj game mode sadly.

According to how the rank system works, playing the objective does not work in your favor. Just play slayer in all modes.

I'd like to shoot the enemy on the chest BBK, but I want those perfect medals!
All body shots to drop shields and one to the head for the kill still awards a perfect. As long as you don't miss any bullets you'll earn the medal.
After taking these tips my kd went up .75, I'm now Onyx and my mortgage is paid off.

To be fair, the ranked mode punishes you for playing the objective. I don't mind sacrificing my kd ratio to go for the flag / oddball, but you will barely gain rank points doing this even if you win. However if you lose by 1 second in oddball your rank will get destroyed if your ratio is bad. This is why people don't pick it up. There's no way for the game to judge your flag runs etc, so they need to give you more points for winning in objective types.
Imagine if you can make the 1-2 second difference though 🤷🏻♂️

In true Bungie halos. Hitting the head did more damage God do I hate 343for ruining halo.
The melee is terrible as you lunge like the sword at a great distance. I've seen enemies with popped shields and a grenade goes off at their feet and they don't die
Isnt it literally only halo 1 that did that and that also had probably one of the unbalanced halos.
Only in halo 1 you always did more damage to the head. Halo 2-3 had the shield mechanic like we have to this day.
always go for head shots not 3 in the body 1 in the head. you dont gain a consistant flow to 4 shooting people if you are only practicing 1 shot to the head and 3 to the body. Repetition of the shooting the head is key because you develop a patern of 3 to the body and 1 to the head. you can get into a fight with someone who 2 shots down shoot them 3 in the body and 1 in the head will be pointless because all you would need is 2 head shots. head shots blind players as well so take away the disadvantage from the enemy and give them the advantage of seeing you is how you will lose fights you should have won.

@@bmac1415 you do know that aiming at the shoulder counts as a head shoot cause the recoil of the br has its bullets travel upwards now. So its actually easier to shot the hands cause the widest part of the body in halo is the shoulders. its harder to see while being shot in the head than body. Whats your argument from someone behind cover only having their head show and now the body. you will lose every time lol
